He had hoped visiting Mistress Kye would be enough to quiet his inner demons until he got back to Yor. It distressed him that even the Sh’kra Dominant could no longer ease his veracious addictions.

Sudden cramping in his stomach told him withdrawal was coming. Flexing his right hand, Corbin winced at the sharp pain in his knuckles.

The dent he put in the wall just earned him another charge for room damages. Damn, his fiduciary reserves back home were running low. It would be two Yor months before his people could harvest
Velix
Coral.

Velix Coral, named after one of the four indigenous species to have lived on Yor before the civil war over one hundred years ago caused their extinction, was a source of wealth for the Dregs. His people mined it, once the ocean tides receded enough to allow safe access to the underwater caves were the Velix, who had been water dwellers, farmed the precious resource.

The Coral had certain healing properties, which many other planets coveted. The Elvin race primarily had a major vested interest in it. Corbin had often wondered if that alone was the reason they so vehemently protected Yor interests. Kaden seemed to believe their friendship with the Dregs was genuine, however he wasn’t as jaded as Corbin. He had seen and experienced the much darker side of Elvin culture to be so naive.

The Galactic Governing Council paid the Dregs a very hefty fee for providing the lifesaving mineral. Since the coral was a natural resource, it grew each year, and with careful cultivation, the Dregs were able to harvest it in abundance.

Velix Coral was also the catalyst needed to activate the hallucinogenic properties of the Trill Powder he had purchased. Chills attacked his body. Nausea hit him hard and the cramping doubled him over. It had never hit him this quickly before.

He was well accustomed to the early signs of Trill sickness. Like always, it struck first with the voices pounding his head, then the physical ills, and finally pain, accelerating through his body. He started gasping for breath. He fell to the ground and dragged himself to his discarded travel suit.

Corbin rummaged through the rumpled suit and found his phaser belt. The tremors riding his body made it difficult to use his hands. Finally, he found the pouch of Trill. Fumbling into one of the hidden compartments in his uniform, he pulled out two tiny slivers, about an inch long, of Velix Coral.

His hands shook as the familiar craving stabbed his stomach. He forced himself up to his knees, placed the coral in a small vial he had stolen from the infirmary underneath the Central Commune, and grabbed his phaser. Taking the plasma cartridge from the ammunition compartment, Corbin carefully opened it and dribbled a few drops on the Coral.

He waited for the mineral to start melting. Once it liquefied, he took the Trill Powder and sprinkled a small amount into the vial. When it settled on the melted Coral, Corbin gently shook the vial, to make the contents mix.

His heart rate sped up when he heard the fizzing sound as the drug fermented. Once it stopped bubbling, the concoction was ready.

He stood up on shaking legs. His body tensed and he found it to be an effort, walking to the bedside table to get his hunting blade. The ill effects of withdrawal had quieted the voices. Soon they would be gone, at least for a short while and the pain would subside

Dagger in hand, Corbin grabbed his dreads and pulled the appendages to the side, exposing the nape of his neck. He took a deep breath before using the tip of the knife to make a small incision at the base of his skull. Out of sheer reflex, his dreads hummed and vibrated violently in his fist. Tossing the dagger on the bed, he picked up the vial from the night table, bowed his head forward and dripped the contents into the half-inch gash he had just made.

Numbing spasms started rolling down his spine. He discarded the vial. Soon the spasms turned to throbbing pleasure as the drug absorbed into his blood stream. Corbin fell back on the bed, his dreads spread out around his head. Gyrations danced through their lengths.

His body went limp, every ounce of tension dissipated from his limbs. The sensation traveled his body settling in his groin. Corbin began humping air as his cock pulsed with the expulsion of his seed. In his mind, there were no voices, no thoughts. Luminous light shown behind his eyes, shards of silver, blues and golds. Barely discernible images flashed before him.

Blurs danced as they took shape, beautiful bodies with no faces, offered their pussies, mouths and asses. Corbin fucked them all. Again, his cock convulsed with release.

He immersed himself repeatedly in the bliss these wonderful beauties gave him. Then one came to him. Only this one had a lovely face to match her body.

This one he wanted ... badly.

She was his.

Min ...
e reached for her again, but she moved away. He tried once more, and she coyly shook her finger at him. He knew her. He wanted her.

He had to have her!

The sensation turned to wicked transgression. The fog in his head lifted, in its place an unyielding urge filled his senses, already super enhanced by the drug. All he could think of was one thing, one goal
... Yani.

CHAPTER EIGHT

A sharp stab of anguish struck Yani in the stomach. Her "betrothed", Gor, had decided to move up the wedding date. Thanks to the guard that followed her to the Sh’kra club and saw her leaving with Corbin, Gor decided they should be married that evening.

She had become a chaotic bundle of nerves. He had terrified her last night. She reached up and rubbed her throat. The collar she wore had left marks on her skin where Gor had choked her. Ver, she could never survive as a slave-mate to that savage.

Playing with forced dominance for pleasure was one thing, but what she had experience with Gor was pure brutality. He had forbid her from leaving her rooms. Two guards stood outside her chamber, with strict orders to shoot her with tazer-blasts if she set one foot outside.

She wanted to go home. Yet home just didn’t seem like the right place. No, the right place was with a certain Dreg warrior she had left early yesterday morning. How she wished to return to that small guest-room at the Sh’kra club, and to Corbin.

Would he save her from the terrible fate that awaited her?

It almost made her laugh, her fanciful plea, to be whisked away by a handsome stranger and taken to a far off paradise somewhere to live the rest of their lives in harmonious bliss. Zen Gods, she was pathetic. Her nursemaids read fairytales to her as a child. Fairytales weren’t real life. And handsome Dreg Warriors didn’t just pop in and rescue maidens to take them away to their magical kingdoms.

Reality for her came in the form of a hulking, purple, man-monstrosity that promised her a life of imminent pain. Gor had made her place at his side perfectly clear. Her body trembled anew. She needed a miracle to get her off Azuri.

Corbin.

Why couldn’t he be her miracle?

* * * *

Though despite the unforeseen turn of events, the night with Corbin had been well worth the future suffering Gor was sure to inflict on her. A small smile spread her trembling lips.

Corbin.

She would remember him forever. Her despair at never seeing him again only amplified tormented feelings. Walking out on her balcony, Yani braced herself on the lattice carved rail and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes, and inhaled the fresh cool morning air.

When she opened her eyes, the view of dessert hills and orange skyline calmed her frayed nerves a little. Azuri's desert plains were breathtakingly beautiful. Looks were deceiving, because the Outer Lands , as the Azurians called them, meant certain death to anyone stranded there.

The large walls that rose several hundred feet around Krull City, and most of the outer settlements, protected its citizens from the constant sand storms and, she'd been told, extremely large desert predators.

She tugged on the betrothal collar, hating the horrible accessory even more. Feeling totally defeated, she turned and walked back to her room to prepare herself for the dreaded matrimony. Bittersweet thoughts mimicked her feelings.

If only I could see Corbin one last time
... .

A loud thud made her stop dead in her tracks. She felt a large presence behind her. Fear filled her chest. She suddenly realized that Gor had decided to start her torture early. No matter how much she wanted to, Yani could not move her shaking limbs to face him. Her shoulders slumped but she found a small ounce of courage to speak.

"I know why you have come."

"That's good, because we don't have time to discuss it."

Yani's head snapped up and her body went ridged.

That is not Gor...

Her heart rate doubled. Wetness gathered in her nether regions. She brought a hand to her chest as her breathing became shallow. Slowly she turned around to face Corbin.

Oh sweet Ver!

Yani's knees almost buckled beneath her. Corbin stood before her. His muscular body contoured by the skintight space suite he wore. The blue of his eyes was so prominent that they almost glowed.

Seven feet of raw male stared back at her, with a look so predatory, it froze Yani to her spot. His dreads spread out around his head and shoulders, the lengths shimmied with quivering waves. She had seen the lethal potential of Corbin's cranial appendages. The way they moved meant she needed to be cautious.

She also knew, instinctually, Corbin would never harm her. Still, his demeanor now was very different from when they first met. It was as if some other force possessed him. Yani decided at that moment that this side of Corbin, although sexy and appealing to her uninhibited nature, also scared her. No way was she going anywhere with him.

She held her hands up defensively. "Corbin I'm not sure why you are here, but I think we should discuss ... whatever ... it is you are here for."

Corbin flashed a devilish smile. "There is no need for discussion. I came for something I want. There will only be taking."

Before Yani could protest, Corbin's muscular arm wrapped around her waist.
How did he move so fast?
She barely realized it when he threw her over his shoulder, until her face met his lower back.

He turned and took three long strides towards the balcony. Just before they stepped out and into Corbin's waiting transport, the door slid open.

Yani strained her head to see.

Her stomach clenched. Gor stood at the entrance of her room, his big, purple, body flexed and ready for battle.
Oh for the love of Ver!
This was the last thing she needed right now.

"Get your filthy hands off my mate!"

Corbin stopped and whipped around bouncing her abdomen against his shoulder. She tried to struggle, but he bit her ass, making her yelp. The next thing she heard was the boom of a plasma gun and Gor's cursing, just before Corbin tightened his grip and jumped from the balcony into the shuttle.

As the hatch closed and she found herself wedged between Corbin and the console, Yani could only stare in dazed shock as they zoomed away from the royal palace, then the city and finally Azuri.

What just happened?

* * * *

The weight of Yani's lush body ignited an explosion of need in Corbin's crotch. As soon as he was far enough away, he would put the shuttle on autopilot and take advantage of the situation.

His adrenaline was on hyper-drive. His thoughts raced through his mind, just as the exhilaration of taking Yani pumped in his veins. As he rounded another moon, Corbin decided he was far enough away from Azuri, and close enough to Yor to make a break for it, if any of the Azurian battle cruisers had followed him.

He hoped they did. His excitement intensified with acceleration of the shuttle’s thrusters. Let them hunt him down, he would enjoy a good chase. His body tightened and his groin twitched. His attention turned to Yani. She had not made much of a sound since they left Azuri.

He was certain she wanted to be with him as much as he craved her. Of course, he had strapped her in tightly enough that movement was difficult.

After he flipped the autopilot on, Corbin undid the harness and belts that held them securely in place. The moment Yani was freed she sat up and swung a fist, landing a sharp blow to Corbin's jaw. He laughed, enjoying their little foreplay.

When he saw her bewildered expression to his response, he laughed harder. Pulling her tightly to him, he ignored her useless attempts to push him away. His lips found hers, and after a few seconds of protest, he felt her body relax into his embrace. His cock was so hard he could drill it through solid stone.

When he finally pulled back from the kiss, he noticed Yani's gorgeous face, flushed red. Her growing arousal filled his nostrils as he inhaled her scent deeply.

He shifted his weight in the chair, so that he was sitting straight. "Turn to face the console."

She stared for a few moments, her expression unreadable, but he was sure he saw desire flash in her eyes. She looked as if about to say something, but didn't.

When she finally turned her back to him he pushed between her shoulder blades letting her know he wanted her to lean forward, "Put your hands on the panel, be careful of the two levers on your right."

Hesitantly, she did as instructed, "Corbin, I don't think – "

He grabbed her hips and lifted her easily, so that her bottom hovered over his lap. "Shhh, sweet, hold his position for just a moment."

She braced her feet on the floor, and with shaking legs, held her ass over his thighs. His cock throbbed, watching her body tremble with need. Despite her slight reluctance, Corbin knew Yani found it hard to resist her arousal.

Once Corbin freed his cock, he tugged on the skirt of her dress and bunched it around her hips. He licked his lips when the perfect globes of her ass appeared before him. His insides quivered as he took in her beauty. The Trill drug peaked his sexual appetite, and combined with his powerful attraction to Yani, made the arousal pulsating in his lower regions even more intense.
