He meant it.
She could see it in his eyes, on his
face. He really meant it. Joy blossomed inside her and she flung herself at
him.
He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight, burying
his face into her hair as if he never wanted to let her go. “I love you,” he
whispered, almost as if he was daring himself to say it again.
“I love you too,” she said as she looked up and leaned on
her toes. That kiss was infinitesimally more.
More love, more heat, more passion. When he began nibbling
on her neck and asked, his voice low, “Why don’t we go to your bedroom to
celebrate? I think it’s high time you pay your brother back and have very loud
sex in there.”
She giggled and took his hand, but he stopped her. “What is
it?” She turned back to him.
“Just no faking, right?”
Her laugh burst forth. She was still laughing when they
reached the second floor, chuckles soon turning into heavy moans as Nick slid
his hands under her clothes.

Lucy was watching him slide into her, inch by slow inch, her
breath caught somewhere in her throat, when a knock rang on the wall behind her
head. Her brother’s voice could be very loud when he was upset. Giggling once
more, she grabbed her lover’s shoulders and brought him down so he lay heavy on
top of her. “I think he really doesn’t like it when you moan.”
“Probably just as much as when you do it.”
“In that case…” She stretched, rubbing her breasts against
his chest. “Make me moan some more.”
“Your wish is my command.” Nick winked and lowered his head.

characters have fun and hopes the ending will make sense. It usually does.
