Chapter 14

Ethel

“Oh my god, I am so going to buy this bed for Lo and me!” Meg had exclaimed before she leaped head first onto a huge king size bed.

“I don’t even know how you would get this through your front door,” Cyn said as she climbed up next to Meg.

The bed really was monstrous. The top of the bed was almost four feet off the ground. I would be afraid I would be decapitated if I had that bed. My ceiling fan was right above my bed and one wrong move, and it would be lights out permanently.

“Yeah, but imagine the things Lo and I could do in this bed,” Meg said dreamily.

“No!’ Cyn said, throwing her hands over her ears. ‘I will not be subjected to more King kinkery talk. I’ve had it up to here,” Cyn said, holding her hand up to her nose.

“I will totally listen to you talk about King. He is super dreamy, Meg. Not that I like him or anything,” Marley said from the recliner she was testing out.

“You have no idea what you just started,” Cyn said, shaking her head and climbing down from the bed.

“How’s that recliner sit?” Marley asked me. I was seated in a gorgeous blue paisley recliner that I had fallen in love with the moment we had walked through the door. I knew the perfect spot for it to go also.

“It’s ok,” I said, knowing I wanted to buy it, not Marley.

“Let me try it out,” she said, standing up and walking over to me.

“No, I really don’t think you’ll like it,” I replied, popping up the footrest and leaning back. Oh, this chair was beautiful, and it felt like I was sitting on a cloud. I was
so
going to buy it.

“Uh oh, looks like Ethel beat you to that chair,” Meg said, leaning over the edge of the bed, her head propped up on her hand.

“I see how it is,” Marley said, walking past me and sitting in another chair.

“Sorry, sweetheart. My butt has fallen in love with this chair,” I said wistfully.

“Well, I wouldn’t want to get in between your butt and that chair.” Marley laughed, popping up the foot rest on the chair she was sitting on and reclined back.

“I’m so going to have to bring Lo back to try out this bed,” Meg said, climbing down.

“You think that bed is up to all the hot monkey sex you and Lo have?” Cyn asked, standing next to Meg, smirking.

“Yes, smartass. At least I hope so. Come get on it with me and jump on it,” Meg said, climbing back up. She struggled to get up, and I decided she was definitely going to need a footstool or Lo was going to have to boost her up every time she wanted to get into bed.

Cyn took a running start and catapulted herself up on the bed and got up on her knees. “Start jumping?” Cyn asked.

“Yeah. Kind of make thrusting motions too. Lo has the strongest-.’

“Stop!” Cyn yelled, putting her hand over Meg’s mouth.

Cyn screamed and tore her hand off Meg’s mouth. “You fucking licked me!” Cyn screeched.

“That’ll teach you not to put your hand over my mouth,’ Meg said, shaking her finger at Cyn. ‘Now, thrust,” Meg said as she laid down on her stomach and started, basically humping the bed. This was one of the most ridiculous things I had ever seen.

Marley was cracking up in the chair next to me watching Meg, and a grin spread across my face. Well, at least everyone was having a good time.

Cyn watched Meg for a minute before she looked at us, shrugged her shoulders and started mimicking Meg.

They really had the bed rocking and Marley and I were laughing our butts off when all of a sudden there was a loud crack and one side of the bed collapsed.

Cyn and Meg instantly stopped moving and screamed at the top of their lungs. Meg and Cyn had just broken the bed.

“Holy shit,” Marley said, laughing like a crazed hyena.

“Oh my god, we just broke the fucking bed, Meg!” Cyn yelled.

“No, we didn’t. It's fine,” Meg said, trying to calm down Cyn.

“Oh my god, you totally broke the bed,’ Marley said, standing up, still chuckling and walked over to the bed and looked at the price tag. ‘Looks like you just got your wish, Meg. You are now the proud owner of a four thousand dollar bed, mattresses not included.” Marley said, sending her off into another fit of giggles.

“Oh my god! You just broke the most expensive bed in the store!” Cyn exclaimed, carefully climbing down from it.

“Not just me, you too!” Meg said, following her down.

“No way, this is all on you! I was just doing what you told me to do!” Cyn said, pointing her finger at Meg.

“Do you ladies have any que-,” the salesman said, coming around the corner and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the bed leaning precariously to one side.

“She did it,” Meg and Cyn said at the same time pointing at one another.

“Well, I don’t care who did, as long as one of you pays for it before you leave,” The salesman said, crossing his arms over his chest.

Cyn and Meg started talking and yelling at the same time, both trying to blame the faulty bed and not themselves.

I quick snuck away to the other end of the store and pulled out my phone. I hit Lo’s name and put it up to my ear.

I think it was time to call the boys because I believe the girls had just gotten into more trouble than they could handle.

Chapter 15

Gravel

“I’ll see you guys later. I’m going to head back to Ethel’s,” I said, rotating my shoulder, making sure I was good enough to drive.

“You want one of the guys to follow you home? I think Hammer doesn’t have much going on right now,” King said, looking down at the work schedule.

Hammer was the one who did all the oil changes and interior detailing. Basically, he did all the stuff you only needed half a brain to do.

“Nah, I should be good. It’s not even a ten-minute ride. I’ll be fine.”

King’s phone rang, and he pulled it out of his pocket. “Hold on, it’s Ma,” he said as he swiped the screen.

Why the hell was Ethel calling King? Was everything OK? Did something happen?

“She did what?” King asked, confused.

I could hear Ethel talking on the other end of the phone, but I couldn’t make out what she was saying.

“What the hell was she doing that for?” He asked, his voice raising.

I assumed Meg and Cyn had gotten into some trouble.

“I’ll be right there.” King shoved his phone in his back pocket and ran his fingers through his hair.

“Well, what the fuck was that about?” I asked.

“Rigid! Get your ass out here, your ol’ lady is part of this, too,” King yelled into the open bay door.

Rigid walked out, wiping his hands on a rag and shoved it into his back pocket. “What the hell are you yelling about?” He asked when he reached King and me.

“You’re not going to believe this shit. Apparently Meg and Cyn broke a four fucking thousand dollar bed, and the store owner is threatening to call the cops if the girls don’t pay for it.” King said.

“You’re fucking shitting me. How the fuck did they manage to break a fucking bed?” Rigid asked, confused.

“Ma didn’t tell me all the details, but it had something to do with Meg wanting to buy the bed, but she wanted to make sure it was extra sturdy.”

“What does Cyn have to do with it then?” Rigid asked, even more confused now.

“I guess Meg and her were bouncing and shit on it, and the fucking thing collapsed on one side. We need to head down there and figure shit out. Meg and I were talking about getting a new bed, but not a fucking four thousand dollar one,” King said shaking his head and walked back into the office to get his keys.

“You believe this shit?” Rigid asked, his eyes on me.

All I could do was shake my head and try not laugh. Only Meg and Cyn could break a bed by fucking jumping on it. King and Rigid definitely had their hands full with those two.

“Let’s go. You coming with, Gravel?” King asked as he walked over to his bike and threw his leg over.

“I’ll follow,” I said, wanting to see how this played out.

I walked over to my bike and got on her, and it felt like I was home. I started it up, feeling her rumble beneath me and revved her up.

King signaled for us to head out. King rocketed out of the parking lot with Rigid following close behind. I gradually pulled out the parking lot and followed far behind, still getting used to being back on my bike.

My shoulder was still sore, but it wasn’t impossible.

It only took ten minutes to reach the store and by the time I backed my bike in, King and Rigid were already off their bikes, waiting for me.

“How’d it go, old man?” Rigid asked as we walked into the store.

“Felt good. I missed it,” I replied.

We looked around, trying to figure out which way to go through the maze of furniture when we heard Meg and Cyn yelling. We followed the sounds of their voices to the back of the store. Ethel and Marley were standing side by side, both of them looking like they were trying not to laugh, while Cyn and Meg argued with the store owner.

“We were barely even moving on the thing! How can you sell a bed that can’t even handle light movements?” Meg exclaimed her arms flailing around as she talked.

“I don’t even know what you were doing on the bed, but I can tell you that it was definitely not made for that sort of thing!” The store owner exclaimed, looking frazzled.

“Well, if your bed can’t take the light movements I was doing, there is no way in hell it could take the pounding that Lo would give it!” Meg yelled while she kicked the bed.

“Babe,” King said, a smile spread across his lips.

“What the hell are you doing here? Oh, never mind, you can help me. This little man biscuit is telling me I have to pay for this obviously faulty bed,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at the salesman.

“Stop calling me a man biscuit!” The salesman exclaimed, his face turning bright red.

“Then stop acting like one!” Meg shot back.

“Babe, what the hell were you doing on the bed when it broke?” King asked.

Marley and Ethel burst out laughing and covered their mouths with the backs of their hands when King shot them a glare.

“You know how we have sex, Lo. Cyn and I got on the bed and barely had the thing rocking when, all of a sudden, the piece of crap broke. Now this man biscuit is insisting
I have to pay for it,” Meg explained, her arms once again flailing as she spoke.

“Cyn, why the hell would you jump on the bed?” Rigid asked, his eyes on Cyn, who had her head turned down.

“I wasn’t jumping! I was thrusting! Meg is right if that bed couldn’t take me and Meg on it, there was no way it would stand up to Meg and King,” Cyn said, crossing her arms over her chest.

“I don’t care how it happened, but someone better pay for it!” The salesman yelled.

“How much is it?”

“Three thousand nine hundred and seventy-four dollars,” The salesman replied.

“It’s broke! How can you charge that much for a broken bed?!’ Meg yelled gesturing to the bed. ‘Plus that doesn’t even include the mattresses! How can you charge that much without the matrasses?”

“Babe, they never include mattresses with bed frames. Fuck me,’ King said, exasperated, running his fingers through his hair. ‘I’ll give ya two grand for it. You know I’m the only person who is going to pay you for the bed now that it’s broken,” King said, wanting just to get this over with.

“No! That is ridiculous!” Meg shouted, stepping in between Lo and the salesman.

“Ma, take Meg out to my bike, please,” King asked, his eyes directed at Ethel.

“Oh no, you are not going to hand me off to your mother while you pay an arm and a leg for that… that piece of craptastic shit!” Meg yelled.

“Babe, do you like the bed?”

“Well, yeah, until the fucking thing broke!”

“I can fix it. Now go out with my mom and I’ll take care of everything. Please,” King pleaded.

“You can fix that?” Meg said, gesturing at the lopsided bed.

“Yeah. It’ll take a little bit, but I can rig something up to make it like new.”

“Fine,’ Meg said, finally giving in. She crossed her arms over her chest and face planted into King’s chest. He wrapped his arms around her and buried his nose in her hair.

“I’m sorry,” I heard her mumbled.

“I’m so happy we figured that out, now can someone please pay me so you all will leave this establishment,” The salesman said.

“Why you little man biscuit, you listen here,” Cyn started in, only to have Rigid’s hand thrown over her mouth and tucked under Rigid’s arm. She struggled, trying to get at the salesman, but Rigid held her tight.

“How about I head out with the girls, and you and Marley can get the furniture shit sorted.” I offered, holding my hand out to Ethel.

She walked over to me, lacing her fingers through mine, a small grin playing on her lips. I was worried about the Assassins or Marley’s fiancée’s parents coming after them when what got them in trouble was Meg.

“Wait! Ethel wanted that chair,” Marley said, pointing to a blue recliner.

“Oh no, sweetheart. I don’t have the money for it right now,” Ethel replied, shooing her hand at Marley.

“That one?” I asked, pointing to the blue chair.

“Yup, she wouldn’t even let me sit in it because she wanted it for herself,” Marley replied smugly.

I let go of Ethel’s hand and walked over to the chair. I had sat in Ethel’s old recliner countless times, and I knew it was wearing out and on its last leg. I sat down in the chair, and I had never felt something so comfortable before. “We’ll take one of these, too,” I said, popping up the footrest and reclined back.

“Gravel,’ Ethel hissed at me, ‘You didn’t even look at the price!”

“Don’t need to. My ass has never sat in a more comfortable chair,” I said, closing my eyes and leaning my head back.

“How the hell do you expect to pay for a seven hundred dollar chair today?” Ethel demanded, lifting up the price tag and looked at it.

“Twenty-six hundred for the bed and chair,” King said, pulling his wallet out of his back pocket.

“You have that much on you?!” Meg asked, shocked.

“Not this second, I’m going to have to call Demon and have him bring it down to me.” King put his wallet back in his pocket, but not before he handed the salesman a wad of one hundred dollar bills.

“How much was that? How the hell did you know to bring money?” Meg demanded.

“I knew I was either going to have to pay for what you broke or bail your beautiful ass out of jail,” King smirked.

“You’re an ass,” she shot back.

“And you’re a handful,” King replied.

“Alright, enough. Gravel, you are not buying this chair. Lo, if you buy that chair, it’s going to your house. I can’t afford it. End of story,” Ethel said, turning around and walking out of the store.

All eyes turned to me, waiting to see what I was going to do. “Buy the fucking chair. I’ll pay you next time I come to the clubhouse. Your mom deserves this chair,” I stated, flipping the footrest down and stood up.

“Aw, so sweet. Why can’t you do shit like that for me?” Meg asked King.

“I’m buying you a fucking two thousand dollar bed,” King gritted out.

“Oh yeah, I forgot.” Meg blushed, ducking her head.

Cyn and Marley burst out laughing while Rigid smothered his laugh by coughing. King definitely had his hands full with that one.

I walked out of the store when King pulled his phone out of his pocket and called Demon.

“You better not have bought that chair for me, Lincoln,” Ethel said, leaning up against her car, shaking her finger at me.

It fucking turned me on whenever she called me Lincoln. Even if she was pissed off at me when she said it. “You deserve something nice, woman,” I said, standing in front of her.

“Not that nice, I’ll be afraid to sit in it.”

“Then I’ll sit in it.”

“Oh, no you won’t, especially not when you come home from the garage all dirty. You won’t be able to look at that chair,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Does that mean I get to buy it for you?”

“Don’t look at me like you’re all innocent. I know you told Lo to buy that chair the second I stepped out of that store.”

“I did, but only because I want to give you something you love,” I said, grabbing her arm and tugged her into my arms.

“You already gave me something I love,” she whispered into my chest.

I racked my brain, trying to think of what I had given her and couldn’t think of anything. “What are you talking about, woman?”

“You don’t know, do you?” She asked, leaning her head back to look me in the eye. ‘You’ll just have to figure it out,” she said, smiling up at me.

“You’re not talking about my dick, are you?” I asked.

“No!’ Ethel screeched, socking me in the chest and pulled out of my arms. ‘You are such a man sometimes.”

“Isn’t that why you like me?”

“Huh, that, among other things,” she said leaning up against the car.

“King said I have to go home,” Meg pouted, walking out the front door with Marley, Cyn, and Rigid following behind her.

“It’s probably best to listen to him right now, sweetheart,” Ethel said, smirking.

“I’m ready to head back to the hotel.” Marley yawned.

“Cyn and I can drop you off,” Meg said, pulling her keys out of her pocket.

“I’m just going to head home with Rigid. I can just leave my car at the garage and pick it up tomorrow,” Cyn said, as Rigid threw his arm over her shoulder.

“Shit. I was planning on having to take you home to delay me from having to go home right away. I’m sure Lo is going to shit a brick when we get home,” Meg said, worried.

“Ha! I bet he could shit a fucking walls worth of bricks right now.” Rigid laughed.

“Stop,” Cyn said, elbowing him in the side.

“You’re an ass, Anakin,” Meg said, flipping Rigid off.

“My name is not fucking Anakin!” Rigid bellowed.

“Yeah well, it’s a lot more interesting than Ash.” Meg shot back.

“You guys are more entertaining than a movie,” Marley piped in, laughing.

“You haven’t seen anything yet. You should have seen what she did to her tru-.”
