She smiled as he stood up.

“I’m gonna go shower and get changed. I’ll be right back.” He replied before disappearing.

“I think I found your talent.”
Mitchell said sitting back in his seat.

They had sat down at his dining table and enjoyed
the meal she’d prepared.

“You’re just saying that.” She smiled, looking across the table at him.

Shaking his head, he disagreed. “No, I’m serious. That was the best thing I’ve had in forever. You really have a talent in the kitchen.”

“Really?” she asked bashfully.

“Really.” He replied, staring her in the eyes.

“Thanks.” She replied getting up, and grabbing his plate.

Placing a hand on hers, he stopped her.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked, staring at her strangely.

“About to wash the dishes.” She insisted with a raised eyebrow.

“No, you go relax. You slaved over the stove and cooked
for me. The least I could do is wash a dish.” He replied taking the plate from her.

“You sound like a movie.” She giggled.

“My mom instilled some good values in me.” He said, flashing a smile at her.

“She sounds like a good woman.” She responded.

“She was.” He said curt, and obviously it struck a chord in him.

“I’m sorry.” She offered.

Nodding, he cleared the table. She watched him as he grabbed the used dishes and went over to the sink. He was absolutely perfect. Ok, not perfect, but as close to perfect you can get with a guy. He was smart, rich, but well grounded. Handsome, and a gentleman. Disappearing upstairs, she took a bath as he cleaned the dishes.

His head was spinning, and all he could think about was Nevaeh. Since she’d crashed into his world, nothing seemed to make sense.
His feelings for Kaitlin wavered, but for the first time in forever he was able to finally admit it. Not out loud though. But the tiny moments that he shared with Nevaeh, showed him that he could be treated better. Sure, Adam tried to drill that in his mind ages ago, but Mitchell was blinded.

But not anymore.

Nevaeh had opened his eyes, no matter how hard he tried to fight it.

After cleaning all the dishes, he headed upstairs and stood outside of her door.
Going to knock, he stopped himself. He didn’t know what to say or why he was stopping to see her. Sighing, he ran his hands through his dark hair; he knew why he wanted to see her. He wanted to pull her into his arms and kiss her, but that wasn’t possible. He was promised to someone else for Christ sakes. Shutting his eyes tightly, he let out a sigh as her door sprung open. He dropped his hands and stood firm in the dim hallway.

“I thought I heard you out here.”
She replied leaning on the door.

She was once again in one of his white t-shirts and her panties this time.

“Yeah, here I am.” He smiled awkwardly.

Mitchell—thanks for everything you’ve done for me.” She replied, reaching out and grabbing his hand.

“You don’t have to thank me.” He said moving over to her.

Brushing her hair away from her face, he checked her bruises to see they’d begun to heal a bit. That pleased him, but still set a fire burning through him. Just the thought of her being hurt killed him inside.

“You’re healing well.” He said brushing a thumb across her lip.

She winched, and he apologized. “Sorry.”

Looking her in the eyes, he moved his hand to chin before slowly dipping low to kiss her.
When their lips met, he felt that spark again. He was sure that she obviously felt something too because she reached up and tangled her hands into his hair. He moaned as his other arm wrapped around her waist, and pulled her against his body. She pulled him into the bedroom as he ran his hands under her shirt, and up her sleek and toned stomach. When they made it to the bed, they fell on top of it, and he was on top of her.

His mind was filling with doubt, but he pushed them aside and let his feelings take over for once in his miserable life. Their lips were still locked and she gently slid her tongue into his mouth.
She grabbed him by the shirt and tugged until the buttons popped off, baring his chest. Staring down at her, he finally let his doubts get the best of him.

“I can’t do this.” He panted,

“You already are.” She said pulling him back in, and he kissed her hard.

She pulled off h
is shirt and stared at his chiseled body. Pulling him against her, he felt her body trembling.

“I can’t do this with you.” He whispered against her mouth
, as she ran her hands over his bare, rock hard chest.

“Please.” She begged kissing him once more.

He ran his hands up her stomach and cupped her breast before kissing her gently. He could feel her hard nipple through the shirt. A moan escaped her lips as she laid back against the cool mattress. She wrapped her legs around his waist and he ran his hand down to her thighs. He could feel her body grinding against him. Running his hand upward, he stopped as he got to her panties. Looking her in the eyes, he saw pure seduction and gripped her ass. She grabbed his belt buckle and fiddled with it before pulling it open.

She looked up to him and wondered if they were doing the right thing. A moment later, he stroked a hand across her cheek, before running it through her hair. She pulled him down and kissed him softly, yet passionately.

There was suddenly a buzz in his pocket, followed by a faint ring tone. Stopping, he looked at her as regret washed over his face.

“Don’t get it.” She begged pulling on his pants.

“I have to.” He said, snatching away from her.

Scrambling up, he fumbled around in his pockets before pulling out his black cell phone. Pressing a button, he immediately put it to his ear.

“Hello?” he asked, moving to the edge of the bed.

Nevaeh watched him as he listened for a moment. Looking at the floor beneath him, she could tell this wasn’t going to end well. She covered herself in the silk bed sheets and felt ashamed. Here she was, rolling around in the sack with an older engaged man.
It had her thinking, maybe her dad was right. Maybe she would never amount to anything but a whore. She was damn sure few steps away from being a home wrecker, and that title didn’t really sit well with her.

“I love you too.” He muttered into the phone.

Nevaeh nibbled her bottom lip as her heart sank. It was like Mitchell had just trampled it. She was stupid to think he would really want a little girl when he had a woman. Watching him hang up, she glared at him as he stood. Running his hand through his hair, she knew he regretted what they had done.

Again.

It was his signature move, and a tall tell sign whenever he was over thinking and stressed.

“Good night.” He simple whispered not looking at her
, before bolting from the room.

Nevaeh fell back, with her head landing on the soft goosed down pillow. Sighing, she stared at the ceiling, feeling like an idiot.
He was
never
going to go for her seriously, and he had no real reason too. She was going to have to try her best to nip this crush in the bud, once and for all.

Chapter Eight

Mitchell
walked the halls to make sure all the students were in class. Just like always, the halls were empty and the classes were full of students learning. Usually, that would make his day, but not today. All he could think about was what had happened the night before with Nevaeh. He hadn’t meant to leave her high and dry, but there was no other way to go about it. He’d realized how wrong he had been by leading her on. It hadn’t been intentional, but the pull he felt when he was with her was magnetic. It was too overbearing not to touch her.

So staying away from her was his best bet.

She had ridden with him to the school early that morning, but the ride was awkward. There was nothing but silence for the whole hour drive. He really didn’t want her to go back to school yet because of the fresh bruises, but she insisted. She had done a fairly good job at covering it. When they had arrived at the school, she went and sat alone as he went to his office. He always got to school early to get a start on the day. Working excessively, he did everything to keep his mind off of her.

After all, Kaitlin was the woman who was supposed to be on his mind.

Heading back to his office, he sat and pondered his future. Closing his eyes, his mind wandered. A knock on the door startled him and his eyes sprung open as Nevaeh walked into the room. She smiled timidly as she closed the door behind her.

“Hi.” She said walking over to him as he stood. “Do you want to have lunch with me?”

“Nevaeh, I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to be in here.” He protested.

“I’ve been thinking a lot—” she replied looking up to him. “I know we shouldn’t be together but I—you’re everything I want.” She said, grabbing him by the hands.

“No.” he protested, as she pushed him down into the chair.

He threw his hands up as she got on her knees in front of him. His eyes shot down to her as she undid his belt buckle and unzipped his pants.

“Nevaeh don’t!” he shouted, but it came out softer, so his assistant next door wouldn’t hear him.

“You
want me Mitchell, and nothing will change that.” She smiled seductively, as she got to his boxers.

A tap on the door startled him
, and he pushed Nevaeh under the desk as he moved under the desk to hide that his pants were undone. The door opened and Hillary slipped inside holding a folder.

“What is it?” he asked curt, obviously intending to rush her out of the room.

“You have a meeting this afternoon with the board.” She insisted.

“No!” he shouted, as he felt Nevaeh run her hands up his thighs.

“But you do.” Hillary insisted.

“I mean—uh what for?” he responded nervously.

Nevaeh dipped her hand into his boxers and grabbed a hold of his long, hard cock. Gripping it tightly, she began to stroke it as Mitchell blushed. Swallowing hard, he gripped the side of his desk as he put his head down. Hillary rambled on as she read whatever it was she was holding.

“Please
, stop.” Mitchell panted, as he swallowed hard.

Hillary looked up to him and raised an eyebrow.

“So you don’t want to know the itinerary?” she questioned.

“I do.” He replied strained as Nevaeh stroked harder and he groaned.

“Are you alright sir?” Hillary pushed.

“Fine!” he shouted
, as he felt Nevaeh’s tongue gently caress the head of his penis.

Slipping a hand under the desk, he tried to stop her as Hillary continued reading. Her voice was drowned out as he felt Nevaeh slip his cock into her warm mouth. He trembled
as she twirled her tongue around his stiff penis. She took all of him in, all the way to the base.

Don’t do that!” he shouted, and Hillary again paused.

“What am I doing?” she asked frustrated.

“Nothing, just give me a minute and I’ll cum—come out to get the file.” He heaved fidgeting.

“Fine.”
She snapped, storming from the room.

“Nevaeh please stop!”
he protested, looking at her under the table at her.

She only looked
up at him, as she sucked harder and he fell back against his chair. A moan of desire escaped his lips as pleasure rippled through his body. Gripped the sides of his chair, he closed his eyes as he door opened.

“I knew it!” Bruce shouted as
Mitchell’s eyes sprung open to see Kaitlin and his father glaring at him.

“How could you do this to me?!”
Kate shouted, storming over to him.
