Spasms rocked her body. She began to twist and writhe under him, but he didn’t stop circling her insides until he had every drop of her release. Slowly, Zachary broke away and looked into her face.

Heavy eyes stared down at him, pleasure filled.

Marley couldn’t help but feel amazed. The depth his tongue had reached inside of her had been unfathomable, but she was beginning to learn to push any thoughts from her head to stay calm so they could continue.

The silhouette of his large body loomed over her. His cock rested heavily against the wetness of her folds. The weight alone made her eyes open wider.

“Are you sure this is what you want?” Zachary asked, sliding his body against hers until every inch of their chests touched. Marley bit her lip, fighting to keep her eyes open.

“Don’t you dare stop.”

Marley wrapped her legs around Zachary’s thin waist and pulled him forward, causing the tip of his cock to enter her. The width caused a moment of surprise, but at the groan that passed through his lips she was desperate to feel more.

“If you don’t want me to stop, then how much can you take?”

Zachary’s breath brushed against her lips as he spoke.

“Why don’t you find out?”

Inch by inch she felt him ease his cock inside of her tight pussy.

Marley tried holding off her orgasm, but Zachary was so large she felt him rubbing against every imaginable spot inside of her.

Screams echoed through the emptiness as everything inside of her tightened and burst.

“Fuck me, Zachary. Fuck me fast and hard,” she screamed as white lights flashed behind her closed eyes.

Obediently, he pounded into her. At the full length of him filling her, Marley’s screams grew louder.

With impatience, she felt around for something to grab onto but nothing existed but space and Zachary. Was she not even in her bed anymore? The thought invaded her bliss making her shake her head back and forth against the insubstantial space.

Frantically, she grabbed at his tight ass and drove him into her harder, trying to push the thoughts away. With one swift motion, Zachary pulled her leg over his shoulder and drove into her repeatedly.

Marley’s stomach tightened as he began to swell inside of her. A cry of pure ecstasy poured out of her mouth as she tried to bite her lip to stifle the scream. With her eyes barely parted, Marley noticed Zachary’s eyes never leaving her.

Something between a growl and a groan vibrated throughout her body as he lowered himself. Two sensations erupted though her at the same time, extreme pleasure and slight pain. Her shoulder stung briefly but the sting quickly faded.

The first thing that ran through Marley’s mind was, “Did he just bite me?” If he had, it hadn’t hurt too much. She had never been bitten before during sex. It just came more of a shock than anything.

Zachary eased off of her, licking her shoulder as he moved up next to her now sitting form. Softly, Zachary cupped her face. She could feel herself leaning into the warmth of his hand. The comfort level and trust she felt for this person was something her mind couldn’t understand.
How do you develop feelings for someone you
don’t truly know?

“I’m sorry Marley, but we don’t have much time,” he said, looking toward the window. It was still dark outside, but obviously he knew something she didn’t.

“I need to know something. Where are you?” Zachary asked, grabbing her arms gently. “I know you’re somewhere in South Texas.

I’m close, but I can’t track your scent. It’s like you never go outside.”

Marley froze, looking at his silhouette floating beside her. “My scent, what are you talking about?”

Zachary’s grip tightened a little on her arms. “There’s no time.

What town?”

“Wait...” Marley said, puzzled. Suddenly, he vanished, disappearing into thin air.

“Zachary…Zachary!”

Frantically, Marley searched the area with her hands, waving them around where he had just been. What felt like a snap jolted her back to the bed. Still panicking, Marley stood up and looked around the darkness. She couldn’t have been sleeping this time, right? This had to be real!

She quickly ran to the light. Momentarily blinded, she scanned around the room not seeing anyone. The first thing she noticed was her nightgown, still in one piece on her body. Her heart started to pump wildly. Had she dreamed it? No, she refused to believe that.

One look at the bed and she sighed. The silk sheets didn’t look disturbed. A tightness pulled at her shoulder, making her look down.

Well, she couldn’t deny that! A definite bite, with spots of blood still oozing out of the teeth marks. Dizziness from her escalated heart rate made Marley tightly grip the dresser.

Tomorrow she could go over everything that happened tonight.

Zachary said that what they experienced was a projection. She would research it first thing in the morning. All she wanted to do right now was shower and lay down to get some rest. Her body ached in places she hadn’t even known existed, but every pang and twitch as she fought her way to the restroom was well worth it.

Chapter 3

Marley ran through the forest, frantically searching for Zachary.

Twilight quickly approached causing the canopy of trees to block off most of the remaining light. In the growing darkness, the sounds of small creatures running along the branches of the tall pine and oak trees drove her to run faster to find her way out.

If these small animals are here, there have to be bigger ones close
by.

Her feet stumbled over a protruding root camouflaged by pine needles. Swinging her arms around wildly, Marley fought for balance as she pitched forward.

With a force that knocked the air from her lungs, she hit her shoulder against the tree, sending bark flying. No matter how much it hurt, she ran faster, searching for Zachary to take her out of this darkening jungle of trees.

Dim light caught her eye, and she ran to it using it as inspiration to drive herself forward. Maybe Zachary already waited for her in the light. With a sudden rush of adrenaline, she pushed herself harder, feeling the limbs scratching at her face and snagging her hair painfully.

The sounds of crunching pine needles and twigs cracking under her feet penetrated her ears. It seemed to grow deafening until, suddenly, all she could hear was silence.

Abruptly, she stopped and looked at the light. It looked so close that if she pushed herself it would only take her minutes to get out.

That’s when Marley heard it. A sound hummed so low that it almost escaped her notice.

Slowly, she turned around, her body feeling stiff. Somehow she already knew what awaited her. She just prayed that her instincts proved wrong.

There wasn’t one, or even three for that matter. A pack of five wolves stood growling. These weren’t the wolves she had seen on the Discovery Channel or Animal Planet. These wolves were nearly twice as big, with muscles she could see through their thick coats of fur, even in the growing darkness.

Razor sharp teeth snapped together in her direction while all five of them slowly stalked forward. Marley thought her heart was going to explode from fear. She couldn’t control her shallow, unsteady breaths.

Little by little, so she wouldn’t cause alarm, she eased herself backward, searching for something to grab onto so she could defend herself. Whether it was a stick or root, it didn’t matter. She just needed something that would give her seconds more to live.

Realizing that this was going to be it for her, she felt her heart breaking. Death had come to retrieve her and Zachary hadn’t even found her yet.

The snap of a twig breaking under her tennis shoes marked her fate. Everything turned to slow motion. Five wolves tensed their back legs, and then they sprang, flying through the air right at her.

The large black wolf who seemed to be leading the pack almost reached her throat. To block the direct attack, she threw up her hands.

Seeing how close the black wolf hovered above, she knew she would be too late.

“Zachary!” Marley woke up screaming.

Sweat drenched her body. Somewhere through the night she had lost her towel, so now she lay completely nude.

Trying to process the dream, she took slow deep breaths. Between the damn breaking news story and Zachary biting her in his excitement, no wonder she had a nightmare. Everything about last night slammed into her mind.

“Shit!” She jumped from the bed. With a quick grab, she snatched her black silk robe off the door before running to the living room.

With a quick tie of the slippery belt, she sat down at the computer.

With a move of the mouse, she brought the computer to a groan while it loaded after being on the screensaver all night. It didn’t take nearly as long as she thought.

The search engine came up rather easily. Marley typed in the only thing she could think to put in, “projection, leaving physical body.” It sounded silly even when she typed it, but there had to be some type of explanation, and she knew Zachary was real. The only thing that confused her was how he appeared without his physical body.

Marley came across three types of projection, Astral, Etheric, and Mental. Each one described possibilities, but she wouldn’t know which one Zachary used until she talked with him personally. At least now she had some sort of answer.

If he only came to her at night while she slept then maybe she somehow projected, too. The site said projection could be done through meditation. Perfect! If Marley knew anything it was definitely meditation. Yoga had come in handy, after all.

Dropping into her standard full lotus position, Marley cleared her mind focusing on exactly what her body was feeling. Minutes of darkness went by while she continued to push away the random thoughts trying to pry their way into her concentration.

Suddenly, Marley felt lighter. She knew she was still in her body, but her mind was weightless, open.

“Zachary,” she said in her mind.

Not knowing exactly what she was supposed to do, she continued to call to him. Her mind tried to force him to find her.

“Zachary, come to me.”

Flashes of the “Welcome to Refugio” sign popped in her head and she pushed the image out to be received. Whether or not he was seeing anything at all, Marley didn’t know. An overpowering need for him to see pulled at her, urged her to keep projecting visions of the town.

“You have to come. Find me. Let me see you.”

A vision of a face flashed before her, but all she saw was the bright blue-green eyes. Startled, her own eyes flew open.

“Shit! I shouldn’t have lost concentration.”

Quickly, she focused again. She could do this! After minutes more of concentration the images of Refugio began flashing against her closed lids again. They repeated continuously until her body began rocking and her attention broke.

Marley stood, aggravated at herself for letting the images stop.

The need to continue felt critical. She walked to her room and got dressed. She needed to run to the post office and the store. Maybe when she got back she’d try again. Who was she kidding? She’d be meditating everyday if she had to.

Frustrated, Marley threw on the first pair of jeans and t-shirt she could find. It didn’t take long to throw herself together to pass as acceptable. As long as she didn’t go out in her pajamas she would be fine. Of course, with the way she was thinking lately she just might forget and actually do that.

Collecting the boxes, she walked out to her car taking in the surroundings. All remained quiet while she loaded everything in the back and fished her keys out of her purse. None of her neighbors were outside, which surprised her. Brushing it off, she slid into her leather seat.

Marley started her Volvo and pulled out of the parking lot, putting her sunglasses on. Eighteen wheelers crowded the main street of this town. She always considered this place more of a passersby town.

Countless people traveled through Refugio whether they headed south to Corpus Christi or north to Victoria.

The light turned green. She headed toward the direction of the post office. It didn’t take her long before she pulled in. The building was small, but had a country feel to it. The town only populated around three thousand people, if that. Everyone seemed to be leaving.

It was rather depressing. Most of the beautiful Victorian houses aligning the roads were historical. It was a perfect place to raise a family. Marley had loved growing up here.

While she juggled the packages in her arms, she kicked the door to her black Volvo shut.

An older man stood at the door holding it open for her. At the older man’s wink Marley felt herself go bright red.

“Thank you,” she called to him, walking to stand behind the only person in line. The woman was shorter than Marley’s five foot three inch frame, which surprised her. In this town everyone seemed taller than her.
