Chapter 5

There was something so sexy about a dark and rainy coast.  Kia knew she was on the peninsula, knew that the waters and coast that surrounded her were not gentle, they were not a place she could go and splash in the water, and still, watching the gray sky on the water while she sipped coffee and nibbled fresh fruit, she was drawn to it in a different way than she was when she was near the Gulf or any of the swamps and bayou land in the South.

Of course, that might have something to do with the company she was keeping, too.  Lifting her cup to her lips, Kia sipped and looked over the rim at Trey.  He’d found a new pair of pants, these ones a pair of button fly jeans, pairing them with a white t-shirt and bare feet.  The combination was ordinary—not something one would expect from a sex god.  And yet, all Kia had thought about when he’d carried her breakfast tray in twenty-minutes after their shower was how easily she could get her hand inside of that button fly.

His eyes were steady on hers as he sipped his own coffee, those dark eyes almost black in the muted sunlight of the sitting area, his dark chestnut hair damp and disheveled, curling slightly at the ends and making her fingers itch to grab onto it and tug.  His lashes were thick and black, framing those eyes and softening an otherwise razor sharp face, with high cheekbones and a chiseled jaw.  The long, straight nose that led to a nice wide mouth.  Kia’s body began to tingle and she couldn’t help the smile that curved at her lips.

“What are you thinking?” His eyes were steady on hers and Kia wondered if he was always this attentive or if it was possible that he felt the same connection to her as she did him. It was odd, not something she could understand, the reason why she should feel so comfortable, so responsive with a man she’d only actually known by face for an hour and by body for eleven more than that.  Why should she feel so right wearing a man’s white dress shirt and black lace boy shorts—two of the only articles of clothing available to her—sitting across from a stranger who had taken her to sexual places she’d never imagined existed in the mere twelve hours she’d known him?

“Tell me,” he said again and Kia raised her brow.

“You’re not here to listen to me talk.”

Trey raised his brow in turn and sat back, folding his hands and resting them on his middle as he stared at her.  “No? What do you think I’m here for?”

Despite all they’d done, and the fact that they both knew she’d paid to come here for sex, Kia’s cheeks filled with heat.  “Well, I don’t know for sure why you’re here, but we both know why I’m here.”

He inclined his head at this, those eyes filling with storm clouds as they pinned her to her chair.  They were sitting at the small table by the large windows overlooking the beach.  The overcast skies promised rain, but right now the wind was whipping the ocean into a beautiful frenzy.  Kia wondered why it felt like the man across from her was starting to gain a similar storm inside of him.

“You’re here to discover yourself again, your pleasure, your desire, your ability to feel and enjoy and be enjoyed.”  His voice was so low, so powerful that Kia felt it all of the way inside of her.  She nodded, unable to speak as her throat clenched closed and her breath began to back up in her lungs.  Trey didn’t move, but his gaze had her paralyzed, forcing her to stay where she was while his voice curled around her and bound her to him.  “Talking, eating together, being together in bed and out of it, in the shower and in the tub, these are all a part of it.  When I ask you a question, I want you to share the answer with me.”

His voice wasn’t gentle, his face displaying a tension Kia didn’t quite understand and yet, she found herself relaxing.  She nodded and then released her breath when he did the same and leaned over to pick up his coffee.  “What are you thinking?” he asked again.

Kia watched him for a second and then took a deep breath.  “I was thinking I don’t understand why I feel so comfortable here, with you, like this.  Why don’t I feel awkward or shy or uncomfortable sitting in my underwear across from a stranger who’s touch I know but not his last name? And now that I’ve said this it seems silly because obviously you do this all of the time and you know how to make me feel these things.”

Kia laughed at herself and reached for her coffee but her hand was intercepted before it could wrap around the handle.  Looking up, she met Trey’s stare.

“Don’t ever think I do anything with you because I have to.  I give pleasure—it’s what I do because I know how much it matters.  I don’t ever repeat with a woman, not because she isn’t special, but because my role is to begin her journey with possibilities.  I’m the beginning of the fantasy.”  Kia’s heart was beating wildly against her ribs, and though she couldn’t explain it, his words were bringing a chill to her skin.  “Last night, I came to you thinking that I would teach you about the pleasure that we’re capable of feeling when we only intend to feel, when all we are after is a touch…and then you responded to me in a way that no woman ever has.  When I touched you—it was as if everything you’d ever wanted to feel was finally there, and this morning I made a decision I’ve never made—that I wanted an entire week with you.  Not just one night, not just one player for several nights.  I want you—all of you—for as long as you’re here.”

“Have you—” Kia licked her lips and tried again.  “Have you ever done that before?”

Trey stared at her a second before shaking his head.  “I’ve never wanted to, never wanted to be in charge of making someone feel everything.”

Though she was beginning to understand the answer, Kia asked it anyway.  “Why me?”

This time, Trey did smile, and Kia was struck with the sheer power in it.  “Because you, my warrior, are willing to accept the pleasure that you’re capable of, and when I saw it last night, I realized that I was already connected to you, and even if I didn’t ever come back, I wouldn’t forget you.  I don’t want to forget you, and I wanted to come back.”

“All week?”

Trey nodded, his motions guarded for the first time since they’d met that morning.  “All week.  Does this make you happy or not?”

Kia kept her eyes on his, taking her time as she set her coffee cup down and uncrossed her legs.  Parting them slightly, she bit her lip to keep from smiling when she saw him shift his gaze and suck in a quiet breath.   She reached her hands up over her head and stretched out, arching her back so her nipples strained against the thin silk of the white shirt, pleased when she saw that Trey was now openly appreciating her.

Standing slowly, her eyes never leaving his, Kia began the slow process of undoing the three buttons she done to keep the shirt closed.  Her eyes on his the entire time, she didn’t miss the widening and then the darkening of his pupils when she finally parted the material and let it hang down off of her shoulders.  Stepping between his legs, she let her hands reach for her shoulders, pleased when his went to her hips and gripped, holding her there as if he couldn’t bear the thought of her backing away.

“I think you need to show me what kind of things I should expect as we go through the next five days.”

The words were barely out before Tripp had her legs wrapped around his waist, levering himself up and out of the chair as he balanced her and took her lips, his tongue pushing over and through to mate with hers.  Kia welcome the onslaught of feelings, the physical pulse beating through her that was her body’s silent plea for everything he could make her feel.  When he paused and pressed her back against the doorjamb that led to the bedroom from the sitting area, Kia wrapped her legs tighter and pressed her heels into his ass, arching so that his erection rubbed deliciously against her heat beneath her silk panties.  His groan spurred her to do it again, this time her teeth catching his bottom lip and tugging.

“Are you going to take me this time, or am I going to have to get rough?”

Chapter 6

“It’s already getting dark outside.”

Trey shifted slightly so he could look out the windows that faced the water.  The last glimpse of dying light was splayed over it and for a minute he wondered if there had ever been a more peaceful place than in this bed, secluded from the world, watching the water while his lover nestled into his side, still warm from their last bout of foreplay.

Thinking of it, Trey smiled.  She’d been angry when he wouldn’t fuck her, angrier still when he wouldn’t let her give him any pleasure.  His warrior was a giver, of herself, of her passion, and somewhere in her past it had drained her, left her hollow and unable to feel.  This past day with her had shown him just how much she had to give and though it tempted him to take, he also knew how meaningless sex could be when settled for.  She wanted him because it felt like the right move, the right play.  Trey wouldn’t settle for that—not now, not when he knew that however irrational, however ridiculous that he was connected to this beautiful woman.  He would show her every way they could be together, every way that he was capable of giving her a piece himself without asking her for anything but her response.  Once she understood how give without ignoring her own wants, he would take her.

Shifting his head back on the pillow, he looked down at her as she rested her hand on his heart and her cheek on her hand, looking out at the tumultuous waters that surrounded them, her eyes seeing things that he knew were far away.

“You woke late and we’ve been busy this afternoon.  Daylight only lasts so long here.”

She nodded and angled herself so she could meet his eyes.  “How does this work, Trey?”

Because he understood her already, he understood what she asked.  She was a gatherer, someone who discovered all there was to know and stored it, keeping it inside of her filing cabinet to take out whenever it was useful.  Now, she wanted to know about herself, about what she was doing, about them.  Indulging her because he knew that he only had a few short days left with her, Trey tilted her chin up and kissed her before settling back against the pillows and bringing her closer.

“It works however we want.  If I had not claimed you, you would be following a schedule, an increasingly more advanced schedule where you would complete steps and stages to true physical intimacy.  There would be one person per lesson, two, if the lesson required it, and then you would be given food, sleep, luxury.  Someone would be with you at each meal, someone would walk with you during your free time, speak with you, converse about things that interested you.”

“Is it real?”

Trey closed his eyes and understood as he should have at the beginning, perhaps, that a warrior like his had fears that ran just as deep if not deeper than her strength.  She embraced pleasure in a very real way because she feared that it would be taken away from her again.

“Everything between you and me is real—even if I wasn’t the one with you, everything you feel, everything you do and give is real.  Don’t label this as an experience, my warrior, embrace it as your reality.  This is you; what you’ve felt today and last night, what you’ve seen in me, it’s all because of you.”

He waited for her to nod her understanding and felt a deep sense of relief when she finally did.  He couldn’t remember the last time, if ever, someone had made him worry so much.  He wanted more than anything to reassure her that what she felt with him was real, and he knew it was real because he felt it with her.  She wasn’t his first, but she was the only he’d ever chosen, the only he’d ever committed himself to and he didn’t know how to express to her the sheer importance of that fact.  She had changed him; since he didn’t know how to tell her without hurting one or both of them, he would show her in as many ways and as many times as he could over the next five days.

“So, if we aren’t having sex,” she said with a pout that made him grin, “what’s next on my schedule?”

Kia hadn’t expected Trey to place her in a robe and take her out of the bedroom.  And she most definitely had not expected him to bring her into another bedroom, one that was slightly larger…and already occupied.  Not occupied, she realized, parallel to another room with a window between them that allowed her to see in.

Although heat flushed her cheeks as she stared at the two forms entwined at the end of the bend, Kia felt her body react at the picture as well.  The room was dark except for the candles that were placed on shelves and window sills, their heated glow throwing shadows onto the wall.  The couple in front of them was beautiful—both blonde, both golden, both long and lithe and lean, their bodies molded together as they embraced the passion within them.
