Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience
, as also saith the law.

(14.34)
“Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience.”

35 And
if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

(14.35)
“If they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”

36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?

37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

38 But
if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

(14.38)
“If any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.”

39 Wherefore, brethren,
covet to prophesy
, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

(14.39)
“Covet to prophesy.”
111 Is it OK to covet?

40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

1 CORINTHIANS 15

15
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how
that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

(15.3-4) “That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” These verses claim that the scriptures prophesied that Jesus would suffer, die, and be resurrected from the dead. But where are the prophecies that are referred to here? Hosea 6.2 perhaps? But this verse refers to the people living at the time (hence “us”) and therefore cannot be fulfilled by the death and resurrection of Jesus.

5 And that
he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve
:

(15.5)
“He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve.”
But Judas hanged himself (Matthew 27.3-5) and Matthias was not elected (Acts 1.9-26) until after the ascension.
413 How many disciples did Jesus appear to in his first post resurrection appearance?
408 To whom did Jesus make his first post-resurrection appearance?

6 After that,
he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once
; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

(15.6)
“He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once.”
448 How many believers were there at the time of the ascension?

7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

8 And last of all
he was seen of me
also, as of one born out of due time.

(15.8)
“He was seen of me.”
In an apparent reference to his encounter on the road to Damascus, Paul says, “And last of all he was seen by me.” But Acts (9.5) says he saw no one because he was blinded.
463 Did Paul see Jesus?

9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

16 For
if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised
:

(15.16) “If the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised.”
167 Is death final?

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

(15.20) “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.”
196 Was Jesus the first to rise from the dead?
