12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

(3.15) “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”
127 Should we love or hate our brother?

16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

(3.18) “Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”

19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

(3.20) “God … knoweth all things.”
18 Does God know everything?

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

(3.22) “Whatsoever we ask, we receive of him.” How’s
that
for a big lie?

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 JOHN 4

4
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

(4.1) “Believe not every spirit.”
308 Should we believe everything?

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

(4.2)
“Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.”
417 Are those who believe Jesus is the Christ of God?

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

(4.3)
“Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh … is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
All non-christians are antichrists. That there are so darned many of them (5 billion or so) is a sure sign that the end is near.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
