Introduction
When I asked the smartest, funniest people I know

whether they’d rather read a popular science book of prose, or a quiz book, most of them said quiz book.
They thought it would be more fun and interesting than a regular book. Well, fun is my middle name, and I couldn’t resist the challenge of coming up with a quiz book that had more to offer your brain than other quiz books.
Your brain is amazing and it deserves more than the usual 500 standard questions, and 500 one-line answers. It deserves to be challenged, tickled, and entertained by the mind-boggling details of science, everyday life, technology, and nature.
What Does the Moon Smell Like?
aims to induce an enjoyable brain state with 151 deluxe, challenging quizzes, suitable for all ages, presented in a new and improved format.
Along with the question, four choices, and an
answer, you get two bonus paragraphs that make
things more interesting. The first one is before the question, and it gives you the context in which the question is being asked. The second paragraph
expands on the answer. Within a few minutes, you’ve learned a handful of surprising, weird, and/or wonder-ful, wacky, amazing, intriguing, or unusual facts. No pain, all gain.
While your brain zips along, you can give your
thumbs a rest. Instead of going to the back of the book for the answers, after reading a question and deciding which choice you think is correct, just turn the page and then flip the book to read the answer.
When you’re ready for the next question, simply flip vii

the book back. It’s so easy, even an adult can do it.
But before you start turning the pages, and the book, one last thing: have you noticed how quickly science and technology are advancing? Breakthroughs happen on a daily basis, and the body of knowledge just keeps gaining weight and growing. The information in this book was accurate when I wrote it. On the morning of April 18, 1955, Albert Einstein’s Q
brain was removed. He had just died, so he didn’t mind. His brain was being preserved for future study, which was a great idea — in theory. But, in reality, Einstein’s brain couldn’t be studied, because it disap-peared, and no one, not even his kin, knew where it was. The world’s most famous brain was missing for decades. Then, in 1978, Einstein’s lost brain was found.
