She yelled, “Ooh wee sis, gone head girl, give that man a taste of your sweet nectar!”

Azylae yelled, “Gone take them shorts off and take them panties off too and let him really taste it!!”

“Whooo! I want some of that,” Denver shouted.

Even though the club was packed they felt as if they were the only ones there.

October’s eyes grew real wide and she was a bit disappointed. She felt played and also felt like a real idiot.

“But I-I-I, I thought you said…”

Long John just laughed at her as he noticed her panic.

“I am just joking; this one is definitely on me. You are just so beautiful and bold, I just had to be in your presence and your company for more than just a brief moment. Usually, I wouldn’t be able to do any free dances, but Bossman told us all to show you ladies a good time so I took advantage.”

“Yes and what an advantage it was. I enjoyed spending time with you.”

“Me too. I would enjoy it a lot more if I could spend some more time with you outside of this place,” he said looking around the room.

“Well, I’m not from here and we only planned on being here for the weekend.”

“At least exchange numbers with me. Maybe we could just talk to each other from time to time while you are here or even after you are gone. Where are you from, by the way?”

“Beaumont, Texas.”

“Oh, a Texas girl! About how far is that from Houston?”

“Not too far actually, about an hour and a half, two hours max depending on who’s driving and what part of Houston you are going to or coming from.”

“Oh, okay. You see, I asked this because I have a brother that lives out there with his wife. He’s been out there for seven years now.’’

“Do you go to visit him often?” October asks with a bit of hope that maybe she would be able to see him again.

Long John also sees the potential in her questioning.

“Honestly, my brother and I are very close so I do try and visit with him as often as I can. Throughout the year I go five or six times, at least four times, to see them during the holidays and special occasions, you know.”

“Oh, well that’s good that you two remain close even though you are so far away.”

“Yeah, I cried when we had to split up, not literally, but on the inside. I did get physically sick for two straight weeks.”

“Really? That’s sweet, I guess. Where are you guys from?”

He smirked, "Sweet you guess? It’s actually quite pathetic, but it is the truth. We are originally from a small town in Michigan and we both wanted to get away. We had never really been separated for too long before that. We attended the same college, we were roommates; he actually got me started with this business. But then, he found love and moved to Houston where she lived and worked and I came across an opportunity to make a nice chunk of change so I came here with our good friend Lawrence. Lawrence, you will know him when you see him. He has the darkest complexion in the club with the widest and brightest smile. He’s good people.”

“I thought you had the nicest smile.”

“I might have the nicest, but Lawrence’s is the brightest.”

“Ummm, I just might have to meet this Lawrence guy.”

“Oh really?!”

October giggles.

“No, I’m just joking. I really am glad I met you.”

“Same here. Like I said before, when my brother first moved away it took me awhile to adjust, so in the first three years I went to visit him like every other month staying for like two to three weeks at a time. I haven’t been to see him in a little over a year now though, but you may be a good reason for me to start my visits back up again.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yep.”

“Well it all depends.”

“On what?”

“On how cute your brother is. Naw, I’m just playing.”

“Dang girl, you seem to want everyone else except me. I am the one who worked up a pretty good sweat for you, am I that bad looking?”

Still laughing, October explained, “For the record, you are not bad looking at all. I am just joking trying to test your humor. I am not interested in them at all; I already see what it is I want or who I want rather.”

“Oh, I see. It’s cool, I enjoy your humor. I’m one who appreciates a woman with a good sense of humor. Now you say that you see who it is that you want. Now I’m wondering, are you the type who usually gets what they want?”

“Oh, yessir!”

“Well that sounds good for both you and me.”

“Yes it does.”

There was a pregnant pause that sat in the air. They both sat there and looked at each other. October’s eyes would start to move downward to his chest and further down his body. She would hurry up and look back up to his face when she noticed it happening. She tried to stop it but she could not help it. Still no flaws. Dang, what was it about him?

“I hear you guys are here celebrating, what are you celebrating? Is it a bachelorette party or something?”

“Oh no, our birthdays. Does this club get a lot of them, bachelorette parties that is?”

“Yeah, we do. It’s Vegas. We get a few a night. We have ten in the club tonight. The bride and her friends are our best customers, also our wildest. We get a lot of birthday girls too.”

“I could believe that. Do you give a lot of private dances during those usually?”

“Just a few. We all do.”

“ Yeah right. I bet just a few. With that guilty look on your face, I know you are either being modest or sarcastic.”

“You’re right, maybe a little bit of both. You say that you all are celebrating your birthdays, is it yours too?”

“Yeah, well mine was three days ago, my best friend’s was yesterday, and the twins’ birthday is Sunday. Kale, one of the twins, a friend of hers is treating us to this whole trip. I’m just blessed to have them as friends and to have my birthday in the same month as them. I get the chance to take this amazing trip with my closest friends and not pay for a thing!”

October chose not to say that Pit paid for everything because although Long John seemed like a nice guy, she didn’t know anything about him and Pit had so many enemies and haters always trying to bring him down, she wouldn’t be surprised if one was in this club with them. She just hoped that this was not a set up and she had said too much already.

“Uhh huh, it must be nice.”

“Oh yes it is, more than nice.”

“I didn’t mean to keep you away from your friends this long. They’re in there having a blast, while you’re stuck in here with me.”

“I do believe that they are having a blast, but I am enjoying my time in here with you.”

“Glad to hear that.”

“I want to ask you a question though.”

“Shoot.”

“How long do your private dances normally last, and how much do they cost?”

Without hesitation to think, Long John answers, “They are a grand each for a half hour on special nights and $700 on a regular night which is rare because just about all of our nights are “special” and busy. In my five years of being here, I have never witnessed what you would call a “slow night”; it is always busy here. That is why I love working here. The busier it is, the more money there is to be made.”

“Wow! I need to be in this business,” October said jokingly.

“Nah, it’s a different ball game for women, it is tougher. I see that you have a good head on your shoulders and you seem to have tough skin, but this business is not one that I would recommend for someone as smart and beautiful as yourself.”

“Yeah, I know. I have a friend who has just recently retired and she has told me enough stories to satisfy my curiosity and more.”

“The twin, right? Yeah, that’s what Bossman told us, the fact that she was a dancer too, not the part about any stories though.”

“I enjoyed our time together, but I think we should be getting back to the party; I’ve already kept you away from making enough money.

Long John stood up and grabbed October’s hand, helping her up off of the sofa.

“Yeah, I’ll be okay. You ready to get back to your friends?”

“Yeah, I am. I want to know if they are having as great a time as I am.”

“Okay. well,” they stopped at the entrance and he let her hand go and brought her into him, giving her a hug. “I’ll see you inside. I just wanted to show you some love before we get out there with the crowd and my boys start thinking that I’m getting soft all because I’ve let myself slip up and fall for a customer. Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with you, at all. It’s just that they date and sleep with customers here all the time and I always give them the hardest time about it and now I am afraid that I have finally given them reason to do the same to me. But, I’m not ready for the payback.”

“So you’ve never dated a customer before?”

“I’ve been here, at this club, for five years now and I’ve dated a customer of mine once and also had a few women that I was currently dating be a customer a few times, but never nothing serious like them.”

“Well, I’m different from them all.”

“I can name quite a bit of reasons to agree with that statement, but if you’ve never met any of them before how can you say that you are different?”

“You’re right. I can’t say that I am different. What I mean is that this situation is different.”

“In what way do you consider this situation to be different?”

“Well, for starters you and I aren’t dating and never have. Also, and this is the important part, I haven’t paid you a dime, therefore, I don’t consider myself to be a customer. Well, at least not a paying customer.”

Long John laughed at the truth in October’s words.

“You sure are right. So what are you to me?”

“Hmmm, well since we done spent over two hours talking and getting to know one another, I would say that we have become friends.”

Long John smiled that beautiful and perfect smile that made October want to melt.

“Friend, huh? That sounds good. Friend is a good start, at least.”

“Start? And where do you plan on finishing?”

“Ahh, beautiful I done already told you. I want to get to know you even more and be more than a friend. I can take some trips to Texas or even take some time off, distance is not a problem. I want to treat you to a date to start with before you leave and continue on afterwards. Unless I’ve been reading you wrong, I take it that you want the same thing.”

“Oh really? And here I thought that I was playing hard to get! I don’t mind if we go out on a date, but I will tell you now that it won’t be anything serious because we are long distance.”

Long John ignored the last part of October’s statement about not being anything serious. It was something about this southern beauty that had him drawn. He was really feeling her and knew that he was going to have to do what was needed to make her his own.

“That’s fine, at least we had one date.”

“Besides, I can’t even tell you of any other friends that I have gotten this close to this fast upon meeting and allow them to freak me the way that you did. For all your hard work, I guess I owe you.”

They hugged once again before leaving out heading toward the party. When they made it back to where the rest of the party was celebrating and having a good time, they both had huge grins plastered on their faces from the memories of the two and a half hours of innocent pleasure they just received. The others wondered what it was that put those smiles there exactly. They knew that October was not some easy slut that would sleep with someone that she just met. But on the other hand, she was spontaneous and carefree enough to where if she felt that she really wanted to she could and still would feel okay and have respect for herself. As long as she made sure that the guy still respected her too, she would be okay. Sometimes she could be predictable, but others, they just were not so sure.

Long John split once he started to notice more eyes on them, but he couldn’t help but watch her as she walked towards her friends. Kale took notice and realized that he was feeling her. The crew clapped as October approached them and her smile became permanent. It was like a stain on a piece of clothing, no matter how much she tried, she could not wash it away. She even blushed and was so embarrassed when she couldn’t stop.

Troy spoke up first, “Well I see you refrained from being a slut tonight.”

October laughed and responded, “Well, I wouldn’t say all that because I did do a few slutty things," she giggled and then her smile widened “and let a few slutty things be done to me, but if sex is what you mean, of course you know I couldn’t bring myself to do that. Even though, I will probably go home and regret it.”

“Or go back to the hotel tonight and be creaming all night,” Kale teased.

“So how was it?” Sanayah asked.

“What all did he do?” Azylae questioned.

“Let’s just say that he is very talented, he knows how to work his body and his tongue!” October informed.

“Bitch he ate you?!!!” Denver cried out.
