Nicole was sitting outside on the terrace drinking tea and trying to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. She and Davis hadn’t really spoken in two days. He was up in the morning before she would wake and didn’t come home until after he thought she was asleep. Nicole was miserable and she missed him so much.

Lost in thought, Nicole didn’t hear it when their housekeeper called her “Mrs. Chatham? Mrs. Chatham…these just came for you.”

She brought over the most exquisite bouquet of flowers she’d ever seen. Nicole was speechless. As the maid sat them on the table, Nicole excitedly searched for the card.

“I’m sorry. Let me make it up to you tonight. Please wear the gift in the box that should be arriving now and be ready at 7:00 o’clock.”

Nicole looked up and the housekeeper was bringing in another box. Nicole squealed like a kid on Christmas morning. She tore the wrappings off and opened it. Inside was a sexy blue dress that was made to drape her body and a pair of to die for Christian Louboutins.

Nicole looked at her watch. It was only 1:00 o’clock. She picked up her box and ran inside to see if she could get her hair and nails done before her date with Davis.

Chapter 19

Davis arrived home at exactly seven o’clock. He hadn’t spoken to Nicole all day so he hoped she’d allow him to make up for the past few days. Davis showered and changed at the office. Just as he was getting ready to climb the stairs to their bedroom he looked up and saw her. He immediately got hard. She was a vision. She’d worn her hair loose and wild just like he liked it. The dress fit her perfectly and brought out the color of her beautiful eyes. The plunging neckline brought attention to her much fuller breasts. It draped her body and stopped almost mid-calf. Those shapely legs seemed like they’d just kept going for miles. He couldn’t wait for her to wrap them around him later.

“You’re beautiful.”

She blushed and if it were possible was even more beautiful as she made her way down the stairs. “Thank you. So are you.”

When she reached the bottom of the stairs Davis pulled her into his arms “I’m sorry about hurting you.”

Nicole pulled away “Davis, I know that everything happened so fast between us. I just want us to be happy. If Anne is…..”

Davis stopped her before she continued on “I chose you Nicole. You have to trust that I won’t ever betray you or our child. Can we put the past behind us?”

Nicole walked back into his arms. She nodded yes then kissed him. The kiss quickly turned from chaste to hungry as he crushed her body into his. After a few moments, Davis pulled away. Both of them were breathing heavy “I promised you a date. If we keep this up we won’t make it out of the house.”

Davis and Nicole made it home from their date. As soon as they entered the house Davis pulled her into his body. She kissed him passionately. Nicole just wanted to touch him all over. She reached her hands inside his jacket and pushed it over his shoulders. It didn’t take much for Davis to remove her dress. He unzipped it from the back and slipped it over her shoulders and it pooled at her feet. She stood in front of him wearing only a sexy bra, panty, and heels. She was just starting to show and it was the sexiest thing he’d ever seen. She was carrying his child.

Davis had been in a constant state of arousal the entire night. Seeing her looking so hot, he didn’t think he would be able to wait until they made it up stairs. Nicole started unbuttoning his shirt but it was taking too long. Davis just popped the buttons as her hands anxiously pulled it off. She caressed his hot skin and tore her mouth from his before capturing one of his nipples inside her mouth. Davis threw his head back and growled. He picked her up finally able to wrap those long legs around his waist. No, he would not make it to the bedroom. Nicole couldn’t get enough of tasting him. She released one nipple while her hands continued to explore his hard body. She licked and sucked on his chest as she made her way over to the other nipple before capturing it into her mouth. She pulled and swirled her tongue around it while unzipping his pants. Davis pushed her hands away as he sucked on the tender flesh of her neck. He pushed his pants down, stepped out of them and walked her over to the sofa. He didn’t lay her on it he sat her on the back ledge. It was the perfect height as he held her waist while standing in between her legs. The intensity of them grinding together was almost enough to make Nicole combust from the inside. She released him and arched her back backwards. She used her arms to hold herself up. Davis had to take one hand to support her back. He used his other hand to remove her bra. It went flying somewhere across the room. Those little moans were driving him crazy. She looked so damn good leaned back over the sofa with her eyes closed and her nipples thrust upward begging to be sucked and kissed.

Nicole kept writhing into him. Davis slowly licked her from her stomach all the way to her breast. While kneading one he kissed the other before devouring it.

“Mmm...you feel so good Davis.”

Nicole was dripping wet and was so sensitive all over. Davis continued to grind into her womanhood with his massive member. He took one finger and inserted it into the hot cavern of her body. She was so tight. Nicole tried to push her body into his hands so that he could go deeper. Davis stroked her with his finger before adding another. His hands were coated with her juices. Davis felt her inner walls start to contract around his fingers. That was his queue. She wanted to put her hands in his hair but the way she was positioned she could only grip the cushions of the sofa.

Nicole was squeezing her legs around him so tightly that they were starting to get numb. Davis took care of that when he took both her legs and put them over his shoulders. Davis was so far deep inside her channel that he couldn’t go any deeper. Those long legs were pointing straight up into the sky. The backs of her thighs were basically touching his stomach. All you could hear were the sounds of their juices and their bodies smacking against each other.

Nicole’s body started so spasm around him that was all it took to push him over the edge. His seed erupted inside of her and this time it was Davis who cried out. Nicole thought she stars behind her closed eyes. No one had ever made love to her as intensely as Davis. When he was done with her she was always more than satisfied.

It took a few minutes for their breathing to slow down. When it did, Davis leaned over his beautiful wife and tenderly kissed her. Nicole’s arms finally gave out and they went tumbling over the side of the sofa. Somehow, Davis managed to maneuver his body so that she fell on top of him. They laughed hysterically at how twisted up they were.

Davis released a satisfied sigh before kissing her again on the temple “Mrs. Chatham, you are incredible. Should we curl up here or should I carry you to bed?”

“Well, I’m thinking your housekeeper might not want to catch us this open and free.” Nicole giggled and snuggled a little closer.”

“You’re right. She’d probably quit on the spot. Then, that settles it.” Davis got up and swooped Nicole up into his arms. He carried her to the bedroom and gently laid her down upon their bed. He left to go get a clean warm wash cloth and cleaned up all the residue from their lovemaking.

Nicole had never felt so…safe and secure. No one had ever taken the time to make sure she was ok. She felt overcome with emotion. She closed her eyes so Davis wouldn’t see the tears of joy welling up in her eyes. He left to discard the towel. Nicole got under the covers and when Davis came back from the bathroom he joined her and pulled her into his arms. Moments later, they both fell into a deep and restful sleep.

A couple of hours later the phone on the nightstand started ringing. It was about 2:00 o’clock in the morning. Davis turned over to answer it.

“Davis...”

Davis sat up trying to clear the fog of sleep from his mind “Wait...what? Slow down.”

Nicole sat up too.

“Are you okay? I put an extra security detail on you. I’ll be right over.”

Davis disconnected the line.

“What’s going on? Who was that?”

Davis didn’t want to have this conversation with Nicole. He knew she wouldn’t understand.

“I’m having some problems at Chatham Industries. Someone has been stealing highly sensitive information and selling it to rogue militias. I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of it. I must be getting close because apparently they’ve started threatening people that are close to me trying to intimidate me into leaving it alone. Tonight they tried something and I’ve got to go make sure they are ok. I don’t want you to worry your pretty little head because I’ve upgraded the security here at the house and I’ve added a security detail to you as well at least until I can get this mess sorted out.”

“My god Davis, when did you find out about this and why didn’t you tell me about it before?”

Davis got out of the bed and started dressing as he explained. He didn’t want Nicole freaked out. He smiled at her “I found out the day our plane went down. That was the report I was reviewing when you were flirting with me.”

“Be serious…and I wasn’t flirting with you. I was trying to be gracious and thank you for allowing me to ride on your big fancy plane. Please be careful.”

Davis felt a little guilty for not telling her the whole truth but he didn’t want another argument. So, he just kissed her instead. “I’ll be very careful.” He grabbed his keys and cell from the nightstand and walked out of the bedroom.

Chapter 20

It was close to six o’clock in the morning when Davis finally made it home. Anne had been hysterical when he arrived and she had every right to be. She didn’t deserve to be dragged into this. It took him awhile to calm her down. She’d asked him to stay with her until she fell asleep. That was the least he could do. He sat in a chair in her bedroom while she slept in her bed.

He was exhausted. Who the hell was behind all of this? And, who from Chatham was helping them? He trusted everyone on his executive team. Was it one of them?

Davis was in the process of calling his contact at the FBI to find out what the status was of their investigation when he heard Nicole’s voice.

“Davis?”

He looked over toward the sofa where he’d just made love to her a few hours ago. There she was looking sleepy and sexy has hell. He walked over to her.

“What are you doing up this early?”

“I was waiting for you. I couldn’t wait upstairs knowing everything that was going on? Is everyone ok?”

“Luckily, yes. Everyone is fine.”

“Thank goodness. You must be exhausted. This sofa is huge why don’t you crawl under these covers with me and get some rest.”

Davis thought that sounded like a good idea. He got underneath the blankets with her and within minutes fell asleep.

A week later Davis and Nicole had been invited to attend an intimate dinner at a business associates home. At first Davis didn’t want to go but he’d been so on edge that Nicole thought it would be a good idea for him to have a distraction, at least for a little while. Although the dinner was her idea, she was a little nervous because it would be their first social outing together as a married couple.
