"I forgive you," she said, and she did. They even hugged, a little awkwardly, but hey, they were trying. Some rifts take a while to fully mend.

After that Scott had come out of his office, where he'd gone ostensibly to get some work done but really to afford them some privacy, and talk had turned to their upcoming wedding.

And Lisa had surprised herself by asking her father to give her away.

So, now they stood there together, father and daughter, waiting anxiously for their last remaining family member to arrive.

Then all of a sudden she was in view, walking toward them, smiling and beautiful. Lisa clutched Scott's arm. There was no mistaking who she was: The resemblance to Angela Garcia and herself was too marked.

The first thing Lisa noticed about Marisa as she drew near was that she had the most gorgeous bright blue eyes.
