Not wanting to spill his seed before he
even entered her, Orion took several deep breaths to try to calm himself. He’d
wanted to take his time with her, to learn all the secrets of her beautiful
body, but that would have to wait. Morgan belonged to him, and he needed to
take her now.
There was awe in his voice when he
said, “By the gods, keeper. You are a miracle. I don’t think I can wait any
longer.”
“Then don’t,” she moaned. “Orion, I
can’t stand it. Please, I need you now.”
“Ask and I provide. Anything.
Everything.”
Morgan gasped as Orion pulled his
fingers out of her. He spun her around, pushing her against the wall of crates.
She felt him shove her pants and panties to her knees, then he used his foot to
bring them down to her ankles. She wanted to be naked with him, but it would
have taken too long to bend down to remove her boots.
Her hands raised up, bracing herself as
he jerked her hips back. The climax she’d just experienced would have left her
sated, but she felt Orion’s sexual need as it were her own. She was dripping
wet with her release, yet her body still ached to be touched, to be filled.
As if he could sense what she was
thinking, Orion kicked her legs further apart, spreading her wide for him. His
hands released her, and she felt the soft material of his own pants flutter
against her bare legs. Fire raced through her blood, and her heart pounded with
anticipation as she felt his cock nudge against her tender folds.
“You are mine, Morgan,” Orion growled
out. “Now and always.”
“Yes.” Her whisper turned to a moan as
he began pushing inside her tight pussy, filling her with his rock-hard cock. His
thick shaft stretched her as he slowly entered her, causing a small bite of
pain, but it only made her pleasure that much more intense. Her fingers curled,
trying to grab hold of the crate in front of her, but her fingernails only
scratched against the solid surface.
He wrapped one arm around her waist,
and used the other to massage her breast. Orion stopped moving when he was
seated inside her to the hilt, and he bent to nuzzle his face against her neck.
The head of his cock pressed tight against her cervix, and she could feel his
thick shaft throbbing inside her in time with his heart beat.
“You’re so tight, so hot. I’ve never
thought anything could feel this good. I’ve dreamed of this, dreamed of you,
but the reality of you is far more than I ever imagined,” he whispered. “Are
you well, Morgan? Did I hurt you?”
“I’m fine,” she panted. “Orion?”
“Yes, my love?”
“I need you to move. Please, please fuck
me. Now!”
Orion laughed darkly, then pulled his
hips back. He hissed as her tight flesh clenched him as if trying to hold him
inside her. When only the bulbous head of his cock rested inside her, he braced
his legs shoulder-width apart, then plunged back into her with a hard thrust.
By the gods, it was amazing…she was
amazing.
He’d found sheer paradise inside her
soft body as she sheathed him, taking his full length. He wanted to remain
there, connected to her with her tight flesh pulsing around him, but the need
to move was too urgent to deny. Her screams of pleasure thrilled him, and he began
tunneling into her with fast, hard strokes.
Orion lamented the fact that he hadn’t
bared her skin to him, but he braced his body around her, his front to her back,
needing as much contact with her as possible. He wanted to strip her bare, but
her protection came before his needs. They were in the bloody storage room,
where anyone could walk in on them. He might not have had the strength to stop
making love to her, but he could shield her with his body and keep her as
covered as possible.
“Is this what you want, Morgan? You
want me to give it to you hard?”
“Yes, oh God, yes. You feel so good
inside me. So hot and hard. Give me that big cock. Make me feel it. Fuck yeah,
Orion, just like that.”
Orion’s lust flared, burning brighter,
hotter. “Your speech is very naughty, keeper.”
Her head turned so she could look at
him. “Got a problem with that?”
He grinned wickedly. “When you say
things like that, it makes me ache to take you exactly the way the you want.
Exactly how I want it.”
His hand wrapped around the front of her
neck, his hold firm but gentle as he kissed her hard and deep, his tongue
stroking against hers. He wanted to possess her in every way possible. Needed
to give her all the pleasure he could. He filled her completely, pounding
furiously into the tight, wet haven of her body with rhythmic thrusts.
“It’s so good, Orion, it’s…” Morgan
cried out as she moved one of her hands to grip his forearm.
The erotic sound of flesh slapping
flesh echoed in the empty room as Orion drove his cock into her over and over
again. She was destroying him with her sweet cries of pleasure. The fire in his
blood intensified, burning hotter, ready to consume him. He pushed himself
closer to the edge of ecstasy he knew waited, but he couldn’t fall until she
was ready to come with him.
“I’m close,” he growled. “Do you know
what will happen when I come inside you, my love? It will bond us together. You
will belong to me, body, heart and soul, and all I am will be yours in return.
Do you want that, Morgan? Will you be mine?”
“I already am,” she whispered, and he
could sense that she meant every word.
His hand around her waist let go and slid
lower, seeking the tight bundle of nerves between her thighs. She jerked
against him as he brushed his fingertips over her clit, then she sobbed his
name as he began to stroke the small nub in a circular motion.
“Come for me,” he crooned in her ear. “Give
into the pleasure and let go. Take me with you and join with me, keeper.”
Orion silenced her scream with his
mouth as her body came apart and her pussy clamped down on him so tight he
could barely move inside her. Jerking against her, he thrust once, twice more,
then he lowered his head to her neck and whispered her name as he came with
her.
Acute pleasure burst through him as he
poured his essence into her. Unable to hold them back as their bond was sealed,
his wings shot out from his back, expanding to their full, impressive expanse
as he filled her with pulse after pulse of his hot seed. He folded his wings
around them, wanting to shelter them in this magical moment, as if only the two
of them existed in their own special world.
Morgan felt utterly content cocooned
within the safety of him embrace. She held tight to the arms wrapped around
her, basking in the warm glow of the amazing climax that had only been
heightened by Orion’s pleasure. Their strange bond continued to grow as he
filled her with his release, and she felt his mind merging with hers. Their
joining felt right, and she welcomed him inside her. His warmth and love
surrounded her, seeping into her until it felt like they were truly one.
One heart, one mind…one soul.
CHAPTER FOUR
“I can’t feel my legs.”
Morgan and Orion lay curled together on
her bed, his large body was wrapped around hers from behind. It was heaven being
so close to him without having to worry about her abilities going haywire. She
groaned as she stretched out one of her legs, feeling the muscles clench in
protest.
Orion’s chest rumbled against her back as
he let out a deep chuckle. “
Sorry, my love. We might have overdone it a
little.
”
That was true, but she had no regrets.
After they’d had sex in the storage
room, they had put themselves together just long enough to leave the docking
bay without being noticed. They hadn’t even wanted to waste the few minutes it
would have taken to find out where his suite was located, so they had headed
straight to her quarters instead.
As soon as the door slid closed, they’d
only made it a few steps into her living room before they had torn each other’s
clothes off. Orion had taken Morgan against the wall right next to the front
door, making love to her with the same fervor as the first time. They’d
devoured each other again in the shower, then took the time to touch every inch
of skin as they had washed each other. When they had returned to the bedroom, they’d
curled together before passing out from sheer exhaustion.
After a few hours of sleep, they had
raided her food console since they’d both been starving. The meal had turned
sensual when they’d started feeding one another, and they had ended up back in
bed where they had loved each other slowly, with a reverence that had brought
tears to her eyes.
Every time she heard Orion’s voice in
her head, it reaffirmed just how much had changed in the last day. They hadn’t
known each other long, but having him in her head, and being in his made
getting to know one another easier.
Being with Orion was so much different
than any conventional relationship she could have had with human men. It was
better, more profound and intimate. Having him in her life was something she
had never let herself dream about, and part of her was worried that it wasn’t
real…that it wouldn’t last.
For years, Morgan had been envious of
the love she saw between other pairings, and she never thought she would have
that for herself. She had always feared she wouldn’t find a man that she could
have a long-term relationship with.
As an empath, most men shied away from
a woman that could always tell what they were feeling. The few times she had
tried to have relationships with males, it hadn’t gone well. She’d been able to
tell when they were lying to her, and she knew exactly what they were feeling,
even when they didn’t want her to.
The one time she had actually gone to
bed with someone, it had turned into a disaster. The elite officer had courted
her, filling her head with dreams of a future. They had spent a month together,
and it had been the happiest she’d ever been. But once he’d introduced her to
his partner who had been temporarily stationed on one of the space stations,
everything had changed. His partner had wanted a scroll, a woman who they could
have children with, and that left her out of the equation.
After her man had realized that his partner
had no interest in her, his attitude had changed. When he’d realized they had
no future together, he’d lost interest. But he had planned to keep her around
for sex until he and his partner found someone else to claim. She had sensed
it, and it had cut through her like a knife.
But with Orion, she didn’t have to
worry about any of that. He’d said their connection was something that would
never wane. In between bouts of making love, they had talked about their lives,
sharing basic details, but also discussing more difficult memories such as the
loss of their parents. It had soothed something inside her to know he
understood. Even though he had his brother, they were both pretty much alone in
the universe…but now they had each other.
During the night, Orion had told her exactly
what being the keeper of his heart meant. He had said that she was the keeper
of his heart, body and soul. That she was the only female that he would ever
bond with. The only one he would ever want. She had unleashed his emotions,
allowing him to truly feel for the first time.
It was hard to fathom that Orion was
truly hers, but knowing that he was filled her with a joy she couldn’t even
describe. She craved him with a passion that made her weak even as it filled
her with strength.
It had
only been a day, but Morgan knew that if he walked out of her life, she
wouldn’t survive it.
“Morgan, these are foolish thoughts.
You are my keeper. I would never leave you. And I’m not pleased that you were
thinking about another man while you lay in my arms.”
She shifted around so she was facing
him. Stars, she loved looking into his iridescent blue eyes. She felt his love
for her, but it was so new she still had a difficult time believing it. Every
time she started to get nervous or doubt their situation, looking into his eyes
calmed her. Still, she’d heard the bite of anger in his voice even though he’d
spoken to her through their bond.
That meant she might have to do a
little calming of her own.
Deciding to tell him the truth, she
said, “The only reason that I was thinking about him was…because I wished I had
waited for you.”
His expression softened, and his
beautiful lips curved into a small smile. “Jealousy is not something I’m used
to, but I confess I do not like thinking of you with another. But you are mine
now, that is all that matters.”
“I’ve never felt this way about anyone
but you. It’s a little scary. I want this…want to be with you, maybe a little
too much. That’s why it scares me.”
“You have nothing to fear,” he
said softly, reaching up to stroke a strand of her hair off her face. He tucked
it behind her ear, then leaned in to press his lips lightly on hers. “You are
the other half to my soul, the keeper of my heart. A heart that beats for only
you now. As soon as I saw you, I knew you were mine. It was as if I were truly
feeling for the first time. We are bonded, and that connection will only grow
stronger through the years…it won’t weaken.”
“So, is this mind merge thing all the
time?”
He studied her for a moment before he
answered carefully. “It is, but we don’t always have to read each other’s mind.
But you will always feel me with you since we are bonded. You have only to
reach for me, and I will be with you.”
Morgan felt his sadness as he spoke.
She hadn’t meant to hurt him, and honestly didn’t understand what she had done
to cause it. “Why are you upset?”
“Sometimes you are closed to me. I’m
not sure why, since your mind should always be open after we bonded, but you
are able to keep me out.”
“I don’t mean to,” she said honestly. “Maybe…I’ve
spent my whole life trying to build walls to keep other people’s emotions out
of my head. I know we’re bonded, I can feel it. But I don’t know how to take
those barriers down. I’m sorry, Orion.”
“There is no need to be sorry. Of
course you needed to find a way to protect yourself. I should be the one to
apologize. It’s my own selfishness that wants to keep you connected to me all
the time.”
“It’s not selfish,” Morgan assured him.
“My abilities always seem to fuck things up. Now, I’m not even able to be a
normal keeper to you. Things would be different if you had a D’Aire female, or
even a woman who didn’t—”
“Stop. You are my keeper, Morgan. I
would not wish for any but you. And there is no such thing as a normal keeper. It
has only been a day. I’m sure time will sort this out for us. As our bond
grows, your gift will just make this interesting for us during the years to
come.”
“Interesting? Yeah, right.” Something
occurred to her that had her stiffening. “Wait. Last night when we left the
storage room, I don’t remember feeling anyone else’s emotions. Just yours. But
we didn’t pass many people last night, so I could be mistaken.”
His eyes brightened. “Perhaps our bond
helps stabilize your abilities. If that is the case…” He pulled her closer to
him. “We should bond as often as possible.”
“Is that what we’re calling it now?” Her
laughter was cut off as Orion leaned down and kissed her so thoroughly she
heard bells ringing. It wasn’t until the kiss ended and the bells kept chiming
that she realized it was the room link sounding.
“Leave it,” Orion murmured as he tried
to kiss her again.
“I can’t. Hell…what time is it?” She
raised her arm, then cursed when she realized her wrist unit was still in the
living room where she’d taken it off after they’d had sex. The room link
stopped beeping, and panic set in. Turning, she glanced at the clock on the
nightstand. “Shit, shit, shit! I’m late for work!”
“The only work you’re supposed to be
doing is making love with me.”
She jerked up into a sitting position, and
barely missed smacking Orion in the head. He made a grab for her when she tried
to jump off the bed, and held her down. “Where are you going?”
“I have to get my wrist unit. I was
supposed to report for duty over four hours ago. My director is going to kick
my ass.”
“No, he won’t. You are my keeper, and
the Alliance knows that takes precedence before anything else.”
“That won’t matter to Director James.
He’s already pissed at me for something I did last week. I’ll be lucky if he
doesn’t boot me over to the cleaning crew after this.”
Orion let her go when she slapped at
his hands. She jumped off the bed and scurried over to grab a short robe off of
a hook on the wall. He watched as she put the robe on, tying the belt tight,
and immediately wished she were still naked. When she left the room, he got up
and followed her out into the living room where he bent down to retrieve his
pants from where he’d left them on the floor.
Frowning as he put them on, he looked
around and noticed how small her quarters were for the first time. He hadn’t
noticed it last night, since he had been too focused on her, but it only took a
few steps to get from her bedroom to her living room. Tilting his head back, he
realized that the tips of his wings would probably touch the ceiling if he
released them. How uncomfortable that would be.
More than his own discomfort, he didn’t
like thinking about Morgan living in such a small, stark space. She deserved
luxury, and he could give that to her. But not here. Not on a space station in
the middle of nowhere. He could give her everything her heart desired back on
his home world.
But could he ask her to give up her
life to go with him?
She bent over to pick up the wrist unit
on the table in front of the couch. “Shit, this is yours. Where the hell is
mine?”
Since it wasn’t visible, she dropped to
the ground. Orion was distracted by the sight of her bare pussy peeking out
from her short robe as she searched for her wrist unit. His cock stirred, and
he took a step toward her but stopped when she cursed as she bumped her head on
the table.
“Are you injured?”
“Got it,” she announced, ignoring his
question. She sat back on her heels with the wrist unit she’d found beneath the
table, but didn’t get a chance to look at it when someone pounded a fist on the
door.
“Morgan? Damn it, are you in there?”
Her eyes widened and she dropped her
wrist unit on the couch as she scrambled to her feet. When Orion started to
speak, she launched herself at him and slapped her hand over his mouth. “Oh,
fuck,” she whispered. “That’s my director.”
“Why are you so worried?”
“Because I was supposed to be dealing
with the people assigned to me this morning, and I wasn’t there. I know he’s
gonna be pissed.”
Orion could feel his temper rise as he
saw how upset his keeper was, but he didn’t understand why she was acting like
they had done something wrong.
“Alliance guidelines state that your first
priority would be to your bonded—or in this case—your keeper. Your director—”
“Won’t care. He’s going to kill me.”
“Morgan! You’ve been ignoring my calls.
Regent Marks has been looking for you, damn it. I swear, I’m going to kick your
ass if you—”
“How dare he!” Orion saw red at the
man’s words. Stalking over to the door, he slapped his hand down on the manual
release next to the door.
“He was joking!”
Morgan said through their bond as the
door slid open.
Orion ignored her as he took a
threatening step forward and grabbed hold of the front of Director James’
uniform jacket, lifting the man up so his feet were dangling off the floor.
“You dare wish harm to my keeper?”
“Ambassador D’Sil?” Director James
paled and quickly shook his head. He’d been worried about Morgan since she’d
never missed a day of duty, but she’d been straining his nerves lately. It
seemed like every day she created some new issue he had to deal with. He’d
thought she was trying to get back at him for making her help take inventory,
but he hadn’t been expecting a pissed off D’Aire Ambassador to come at him when
the door opened. “No! I just—shit, did you say that Morgan is your keeper?”
