“That’s only after the first date. Which brings me to the second thing I need…” he finished the buttons on his shirt and then let the rest of the sentence trail off while he waited for her to pull the rest of her outfit together.

He took her hand in his, and put his other hand on the doorknob. “Come on,
Jennifer,
” he said emphasizing her name. “Have you eaten yet? I’d like to take you out to dinner on our first date.”

Jennifer felt little butterflies dance in her stomach as he led her out the door. So far, it was the best first date she had ever had.
