Chapter One

Julie’s
stomach was in knots as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
She had long dreamed of this day and she was glad it was finally
here. Everything was perfect. From the strapless, slim fitting Vera
Wang gown to the silver Manolo Blahnik heels. She tried smiling, but
she couldn’t. Somehow, she still felt like something was not
right. Meg walked in and looked at her.

What
do you think?” Julie asked smiling.

You
look beautiful love,” Meg gushed.

Really?
You don’t think I should have gone with an illusion neckline or
something? Because I feel a bit Kardashian like in this,” Julie
frowned.

Please
don’t second guess yourself. You’ve come a little too
far, don’t you think?”

Julie
smiled and nodded. Her smile faded when she saw the time.

But
why hasn’t the ceremony began yet? Why am I still here?”
she asked. Meg frowned and put a hand on her shoulder.

Would
you relax already? This is what happens at weddings. Things are never
on time. You should know that,” she reassured her. “And
stop looking at the time already. It’s your day. It doesn’t
matter what time the ceremony begins,” she added. Julie smiled
and shrugged.

I
don’t know, Meg. I have a strange feeling that something is
wrong,” she fretted.

Really?
Like what?” Meg asked as Julie sat down.

Well,
there is the dreaded question, right?” Julie said. Meg shook
her head.

The
question?
Is there anybody among us who has any reason why these two shouldn’t
be joined in holy matrimony? That question?” she asked. Julie
frowned and nodded. “Really? What do you think will happen?
That some guy will oppose you two getting married?”

Julie
shrugged.

Or
some girl,” she said. Meg smiled and shook her head.

These
are just jitters. Every bride gets them. Just don’t read too
much into it,” she said. Just then, the priest walked in.

I’m
sorry, Miss Parker. I can’t hold off any longer,” he
informed her. Julie took a long, deep breath and leaned back.

This
is not happening,”
she
thought as she fought back the tears that threatened to flow freely
down her cheeks.

Miss
Parker?” she heard the priest call her. But she didn’t
want to open her eyes. Opening them would mean facing the harsh
reality and the only guilty pleasure she had was in her head…assuming
everything else didn’t exist. She could still hear the priest
talking, but at that moment, she couldn’t have cared less about
what he had to say. Her eyes were still closed when she suddenly felt
clarity about her and a familiar female British accent. She opened
her eyes to see Steven’s sister looking at her with sad eyes.

Don’t
even say it,” Julie whispered.

I’m
sorry, honey. Steven’s not going to make it,” she said
looking at Julie. By now, the tears she had fought back so long were
flowing freely down her cheeks.

Julie…are
you okay?” that was Meg.

We
can still…” the priest was now talking. It was too much.
She just wanted everyone to shut the hell up. She put her hands over
her ears and screamed loudly…

Julie!
Juelz! What is it? What’s going on?” Steven was holding
her hand, trying not to startle her. He switched on the light on the
night stand. Julie was still shaking her head, shaking her whole
body…convulsing even. “Julie, wake up!” he yelled,
loud enough to make her open her eyes. She looked up at him as she
breathed heavily. “Are you okay?” he asked in a whisper.
She looked into his eyes and nodded. Steven pulled her close to him
and held her close. “You had me worried there,” he
admitted. Julie felt a wetness on her cheek and that was when she
realized that the dream-no-nightmare she’d just had was every
bit real as she could have ever imagined. Steven planted a kiss on
the top of her head and she looked up at him.

What’s
the time?” she asked. Steven looked at the clock on the night
stand.

A
little after two,” he replied. Julie smiled sadly.

I’m
sorry I woke you up,” she apologized. Steven smiled.

Are
you going to tell me what that was about?” he asked. She took a
long, deep breath and leaned her head against his chest.

The
wedding,” she said. He looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

Still?”
he asked.

I’m
sorry,” she repeated.

I’ve
heard of pre-wedding jitters but I never thought they were this bad,”
Steven said with a smile. Julie smiled and put her hand on his chest.

You
know that’s what Meg said,” she said. Steven looked down
at her.

In
the dream?” he asked. Julie nodded. “And where was I in
that dream?”

You
know, that was the whole basis of the nightmare,” she
explained.

Nightmare?
I just thought it was a bad dream,” he said. Julie gave him one
of those ‘you better shut your mouth’ looks. “Okay,
I know the definition of a nightmare is a bad dream. My bad. So what
was it about me being at the wedding that was so bad?” he
asked. Julie rested her head on his chest again.

You’re
missing the point. You were not there. Your sister delivered the bad
news while I was there waiting to be called into the chapel,”
she said. Steven looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

I
didn’t turn up for
my
own
wedding? Seriously?” he asked. By that time, they were both
fully awake. Julie looked at him and nodded. “Wow, that’s
really bad,” he grimaced.

You
have no idea. I was right there looking pretty in my gown and
everything. It was terrible,” Julie said. Steven raised her
chin and looked into her eyes.

You
know I would never stand you up at the altar, right?” he asked.
She smiled and nodded.

I
just…this is my first marriage and I want it to be the only
time I ever get married,” she said.

It’s
going to be my first and last too,” he answered with a smile.
“And it’s going to be perfect,” he added. Julie
looked at him and smiled.

You
really think so?”

Oh
I know so,” he told her, smiling. She put her hand on his chest
and smiled back.

You
always know what to say to cheer me up,” she said. Steven slid
his hand down one side of her body and stopped when he placed his
hand on her hip. Julie noticed the bedding on his crotch getting
elevated. She looked at him and smiled. “Baby, what are you
doing?” He turned around and looked at her.

Proving
to you that I have no reason to stand you up at the altar,” he
winked before he brought his head down and kissed her gently.

Sweetie,
I have to work in a few hours. You too,” she said in a whisper
when he pulled away.

Some
things are more important,” he said before he kissed her again.
She moaned into his mouth softly and slipped her hand behind his neck
kissing him deeply. Steven flipped her over so that she could come on
top and moaned softly when his hand slowly slid down to cup a feel of
her breast through the silky fabric of her night dress. He felt her
nipple respond almost immediately, pressing hard against his palm. He
pulled away from her lips and traced his kisses from her chin to her
neck. With one hand, he tugged on the ribbon that held the two sides
of her night dress together. He pulled back and sighed softly when he
saw the fabric sliding off her perky tits. “Beautiful,”
he whispered before he flipped her again getting her under him. He
kissed the tops of her breasts slowly and she thrust her bosom at
him, hoping that she would force him to take in her nipple but he
never did. He kissed her again and there were little sexy endearments
coming from her. She slowly ran her hands under his shirt, slowly
making him get harder. She could feel his erection pressing hard
against her thigh and it excited her. She began raising his shirt up
until she got to his shoulders. Steven looked into her eyes and then
pulled it over his head and he thought to return the favor. He lifted
the night dress up and then pulled it over her head. She was now
naked under him. He had half a mind to get his body on top of her. He
longed to feel her nipples press against his chest. He looked at her
and smiled when he saw that even in the dark light, she was blushing.
The way she was looking up at him was something that bordered on
adoration. She put her hand on his chest and caressed it gently,
running her hands down his navel. She raised her head and began
kissing his chest, her tongue slowly running her tongue over his
nipples.

Baby,
you’re…oh baby,” he moaned as she kissed his
chest. He supported her head with his hand as she ran her tongue
across his chest. It was difficult to do this in this position, but
he didn’t really care, giving her support to her head. Soon,
she’d had enough. She put her hands around his shoulders and
flipped him over. She looked down at him and smiled. She was fully
aware of the way her breasts hang down her chest, heavily. She looked
down at him and lowered her head to resume her kissing duties. By
this time, his fully erect cock was pressing even harder into her ass
and she began grinding her as on his crotch. Steven moaned softly and
put his hands on her waist.
