And then I'm switched back to the present, to where I am, because the musicians have crept into the orchestra pit, and they're tuning up their instruments, which must be the sound which has brought me back. Nigel turns away from my parents and back to me, and takes my hand in his. Then the lights go down and the curtain comes up and we sit back and wait to have everything unfolded before us.
