One year and six
months later…..

I
WAS LOOKING forward to finally making it home to my
family after a long day at the gallery, hosting another event. Wyatt wanted to
attend, but we couldn’t find a sitter for the twins, Willow and Bryce. They
were the best of Wyatt and me. I unlocked the door to our home in Newburg, New
York. It was the house Marissa found for us and Wyatt and I instantly fell in
love with it. It was a two story colonial house on ten acres of land. It
boasted five bedroom and three bathrooms. It was quite a commute into the city,
but it was so worth it. The house has an open floor plan with over six thousand
square feet, meaning it was open and airy and had plenty of room to grow. I
kicked off my heels the minute I walked in the door. My family wasn’t in the
sitting room, since it was mainly used to entertain guest. I headed straight to
our family room in the back of the house to where I knew they would be and sure
enough there they were. Bryce, my little ragamuffin was curled on the floor fast
asleep on Blue. Bryce was the spitting image of Wyatt with his unruly brown
hair that was in need of a haircut badly. I slowly picked him up and carried
him up the stairs to his room. He stirred when I placed him in his bed. He
looked at me with sleepy eyes and whispered, “Momma.” I kissed his forehead and
murmured against it, “Love you, Bryce.”

The minute I said
the words he was fast asleep. I headed to my room to change into my pajamas
before heading back to put the rest of my family to bed. I went back to the
family room where I found Wyatt sprawled out on the couch asleep with Willow
asleep on top of him. Her head was tucked under his chin with her hand resting
on his cheek. Wyatt held her tightly on her pampered bottom. My Willow was a
daddy’s girl. He loved both his children equally, but he had a special bond
with Willow. He said it was because she was a miniature me with her jet black
hair and bluish-purple eyes. I stood there and watched them for a while, taking
in the beauty of my daughter and the love of my life. As I stood there I realized
my life has finally reached its full circle. Everything I went through brought
me to where I am today and I would never change any of it. The only thing I
would change was the loss of Wyatt’s grams. She passed away two weeks after the
twins were born. It sucked for a while. Her passing hit him deep, but I was
there for him every step of the way to see him through it.

“Hey, pretty girl.”

“Hey, baby. Did the
kids give you a hard time?”

“Nah, they were
perfect,” he whispered and kissed his girl’s little head.

“Let me grab her
and put her to bed.”

“I got her. Go wait
for me in bed. I have big plans for your body tonight.” I felt a ripple of
tingles start in my heart and spread in between my legs. God, I loved this
man…my man.

“Alright, baby.
Don’t keep me waiting,” I whispered and winked at him. He grinned and eased off
the couch with a sleeping Willow draped all over him. Everything in my life has
led me to this moment, in this house, with him and our children. My choices, my
heartbreaks, and my regrets. Everything. When we joined and became one, my past
was worth it, because if I had done anything differently I might have never met
Wyatt. He came into the room and jumped on the bed and pulled me too him for a
deep, wet kiss.

“Wyatt.”

“Yeah, baby.”

“I need to tell you
something.”

“Tell me later. I
have other things on my mind right now.”

“It’s important.”

“Okay, tell me.”

“I’m pregnant.”

He pulled me
tightly to him and grinned, “I want two more just like Bryce and Willow.

“I’ll see what I
can do.” My husband then proceeded to make love to me and show just how lucky I
was.

I want to thank my
loving husband, Edgar and our two sons for putting up with me while I poured
everything I had to this book. I love you guys to the moon and back.  I took my
time to write Rebel’s story. Alright I’ll be honest, though I did take my time,
I also procrastinated, but never the less this story has been my baby as it
brewed inside my mind and heart.

I also want to say
Thank You to all the authors I have met on this journey. Without your generous
advice, support and friendship I would have ended up in a strait jacket.
Elizabeth St. John, you have been my rock and beta reader while trying to write
your own stories, thank you! April Wood, who your critique, input and editing
helped me tremendously, thank you!

The most important
Thank You goes to you, the readers! I feel honored and blessed by your
enthusiasm, passion and eagerness.  I love you all!

I was born and raised in the Bronx and moved to Port St
Lucie, Florida nine years ago.  I am the youngest of three children.  We are a
very dysfunctional family, but it was fun growing up in that chaotic
environment.   I met my once in a lifetime, Edgar love in college.  I have a
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health.  I’ve been married twenty-four years
and have two children.  I have always had a passion for reading and writing
short stories.  With the support and encouragement of my husband I decided to
write my first novel, Tormented.  It was a struggle but fulfilling at the same
time.  I plan to continue to writing.  I’m not looking for fame but sharing my
stories.

It’s hard writing a biography about oneself because it
almost sounds like your tooting your own horn.  Anyone who knows me would say
I’m nerdy and in a way I am but nerds can be cool, funny and sexy. (I’m just
saying.)  I’m currently working on Bound by Grace.  I like the characters.
Grace is fiery and quick-witted.  She’s not afraid to speak her mind or stand
up for herself and Brock loves to get her riled up.  Every day I learn
something new as a writer.  I hope readers enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy
writing them.
