shower door slid open and pulled him from his thoughts. Jessica

you better put a shirt on, or we aren't going to be able to get
through breakfast,” Renee joked.

He
laughed and grabbed his t-shirt off the back of the chair and pulled
it over his head.

Renee,”
he said, with his eyes wide.

“
Not
me, her,” she said, as she pointed to Jessica.

“
Oh
really,” he joked. “Are you enjoying the view?”

He
looked at Jessica and she looked down at her plate. Luke filled their
plates while Lucas helped him. The table was quiet while they ate.
Jessica kept shooting dirty looks at he sister, as Renee laughed.
Luke looked over at Lucas and nodded. Jessica couldn't figure out
what they were doing. Something sneaky was going on. She saw Lucas
walk over to the Christmas tree.

“
What's
this?” he asked, with a giggle.

She
saw Luke shake his head, out of the corner of her eye. Renee
snickered.

“
There's
a gift under the tree,” Lucas said, as he looked back at Luke.

Jessica
kept a straight face, even though she wanted to laugh. Lucas wasn't
very good at hiding his thoughts. He carried the box over to the
table and stood between Luke and Jessica.

“
It
says it's for you mom,” he said, as she looked over at Luke.

Renee
laughed, and Luke shot her a dirty look. Jessica watched Luke's face.
They must have forgotten to give her one of her presents. She could
not believe how adorable her men were. Jessica went along with Lucas.
She knew he was excited about whatever they were up to. They looked
like two kids hiding something.

Jessica
unwrapped the box, as Lucas stood very still next to her. There was
another wrapped box inside of it. She looked up at Luke and he smiled
with a shrug.

“
Lucas
wrapped it for you,” he said.

She
happily continued to open two more boxes. When she got into that one,
all she found was tissue paper. Lucas laughed quietly as she went
through the paper.

“
It's
in there, I promise,” he said.

She
felt around, until she found a small, square box with a bow. Jessica
felt her arms tense up as she looked at the box. It was from Lucas
and Luke. What could it be? If it was just from Luke, she would have
been jumping up and down. She didn't want to get excited, if it was
not what she thought. It could have been some earrings or a mother's
ring. Renee winked at her when she looked up at her. Luke stood up
next to Lucas. She looked into his eyes, and he gave her a small nod.

“
Open
the box mom,” Lucas said. “Come on.”

Jessica
slowly slid the ribbon off the box. She looked at it for a moment and
opened the lid. It was the most beautiful ring she had ever seen.
There was a heart shaped diamond with smaller diamonds all around it.
Nervously, she looked at Lucas.

“
Thank
you, it's beautiful,” she said, as she reached out to hug
Lucas.

Her
eyes met Luke's as she hugged her son. Luke got down on one knee next
to Lucas. He looked into her eyes and took the box from her hand. She
could feel her hand shake as took it from her. Lucas scooted in close
to Luke's chest. Luke nudged his son lightly.

“
Mommy,”
he said. “Will you marry daddy?”

“
Jessica,”
Luke began, before she could respond. “I have waited seven
years for you to feel even one ounce of the feelings I feel for you.
You and Lucas are my life. I am never letting you go. I have you
back, and I have the most amazing son in the world. Will you make my
life complete and marry me?”

Jessica
leaned forward and wrapped her arms around them both.

“
Yes,
I will marry you. I will never let you go again. You are my forever.
The three of you are my family,” she said, as tears ran from
her eyes.

Renee
got up and came over to hug them. They all laughed and hugged. Luke
slid the ring onto Jessica's finger and kissed her hand.

“
There
is one more thing,” Luke said, as he reached into his pocket
and pulled out another tiny box.

Luke
opened the box for Jessica to look inside.

“
I
know it's not as nice as the one on your finger, but I want you to
have it,” he said. “It is very important to me. I have
had it with me for seven years, hoping that one day I would be able
to give it to you.”

Jessica's
eyes widened as she looked from the ring up to his eyes.
