Jones snickered, “Chocolate cake and beer do not mix.”

She flickered a glance at Jones before turning back to him, “Maybe later.”

“Maybe later,” he agreed, running his tongue over his lower lip, practically tasting her. He’d be willing to forgo the beer if she could leave with him right that moment. After all, Jolie was spending the night at his parents’ house and it was way past time he got Ana into his bed…. Fuck, he was in too deep and he had no desire to get out. He exchanged a smoldering look with Ana, promising her the moon and the stars, and his two co-workers broke into laughter.

“Get a room,” Jones taunted, finally catching on to the tangible chemistry between Harrison and Ana.

“What time do you get off?” Harrison asked her, ignoring the comments from the peanut gallery.

“Around midnight,” she murmured. With a heavy sigh, she gave the table a smile before she headed off to fill their order. Glancing at his watch, he figured he only had to wait an hour and a half.

As soon as she was out of earshot, Liverpool burst into laughter. Clapping Harrison on the back, the older man snorted, “You’ve got it so bad, son. I was almost worried you’d haul off and punch me when I was teasing that pretty little waitress of yours.”

Harrison felt like a fool. Of course Liverpool was only flirting with Ana to torment him, not because the man was interested in her. Liverpool was a happily married, good natured man who enjoyed teasing everyone.

For nearly ninety minutes Harrison watched her work, slightly surprised by how easily she interacted with everyone, how she had a ready smile for all of her customers. Her laughter floated over the noise, teasing him with everything he never knew he wanted. His companions weren’t oblivious to her, either, or to his reaction towards her, giving him enough grief to make his ears burn. Every time she stopped by the table, his friends snorted in mocking laughter. As much crap as they gave him, he could only imagine how much worse it would have been had she been eighteen.

He took the good natured ribbing with grace because he was the one who was going to be going home with her. After weeks of dancing around the inevitable, they were finally going to succumb to madness…. Jesus, he really needed to lay off the melodramatic thoughts in real life and leave them to Justice Kane. But now that Ana was in his life and she was the inspiration for Mercy, there were moments, however brief, that fantasy and reality overlapped. When Jolie and Ana had scared the living shit out of him, he had been in the middle of writing a really intense scene between Mercy and Justice. They had been on the verge of either killing one another or fucking one another, and then… zombies.

After his heart rate had returned to normal, he had to admit that Ana had done an amazing job transforming his little princess into a zombie. The woman had some serious talent and she would no doubt do really well out in Hollywood. The thought of her leaving and not coming back left a sour feeling in the pit of his stomach, though it wasn’t enough to deter him from getting into a sexual relationship with her. He had never wanted anything as much as he wanted Ana, even if he could only have her for a couple of months. At the same time, he didn’t want to waste any of the time they were given watching her from across the restaurant.

He needed to see her, speak to her,
touch
her and it was close enough to midnight that he no longer had to wait. Standing up abruptly, ignoring the catcalls coming from Liverpool and Jones, he grabbed his handcuffs from his belt and crossed the distance between him and Ana. “Ana.”

Startled, she jumped as she turned around. She gifted him with her heart-stopping smile as she untied her apron. “Harrison. Did you run out of soda because if you did, I can’t help you. I just clocked off.”

“I came over to arrest you.”

Her lips parted and her eyebrows shot up to her hair line as she swallowed. “Pardon?”

Taking the apron from her, he set it down before he took her hand. He gently put the metal cuff on her wrist all the while holding her eyes. Her breath hitched as she automatically raised her other hand and softly asked, “Why are you arresting me?”

“You’re causing a disturbance to the peace,” he said, his voice coming out low and gravelly as he snapped on the other cuff. Her pupils were swallowing the green of her eyes as her chest heaved with each panted breath she took. He wanted to devour her whole. “More specifically, you’re causing a disturbance to
my
peace.”

“If you keep looking at me like that, your coworkers will think there’s something between us.”

“Sweetheart, I think they figured that out the moment we walked in and I couldn’t take my eyes off you,” he told her, reaching up and brushing a strand of hair from her face. Most of her makeup had come off at some point during the night and she looked like Ana once again, only an Ana in tattered and torn clothes. He didn’t think he’d be able to wait until they got home before he had her naked and on her back. He barely recognized his voice as he asked, “Are you ready to go?”

“More than you’ll ever know,” she returned, her voice just as carnal as his.

With a grin, he slid an arm behind her back and then bent down and slid an arm behind her knees and scooped her up into his arms. She threw her arms around his neck and held on, her laughter filling him with equal amounts of hunger and joy. “Hold on.”

“I thought police officers weren’t supposed to carry their suspects to the car,” she said, her words coming out a husky purr.

“I don’t want to take the chance that you might escape.”

“There’s no chance of that,” she crooned.

“Besides,” he said, nodding downwards towards his clothes. “I’m out of uniform.”

Tilting her head to the side, jingling her cuffed hands, she asked, “Do you carry your handcuffs everywhere you go?”

He smirked, “I’ve been known to… on occasion.”

As he pushed through the door, a blast of cold air hit them and a shiver wracked her slender body. “Brrr, it’s cold.”

“Don’t worry, sweetheart,” he crooned, half jogging, half loping to his truck. Since he had arrived so late, he had had to park near the back. Now, the parking lot was nearly deserted and his truck was in the dark, some distance from the other vehicles. “I’ll have you warm soon enough.”

When he got to his truck, he realized he had a problem: his doors were locked, his keys were in his pocket, and Ana’s hands were handcuffed together. With a grimace, he said, “I’m going to have to put you down.”

She chuckled as she lifted her arms. Letting her knees go, he let her slide down his body, loving every torturous moment that added even more fuel to the fire that was already raging out of control within him. Holding her eyes, he somehow managed to get the passenger door open and when she smiled up at him, a sultry smile that twisted his guts in the best way possible, he grabbed her around the waist and tossed her in.

After making sure she was in, he slammed the door shut and raced around to the driver’s side, desperate to get her home where he could spend hours making love to her. He should have realized that he needed to expect the unexpected with Ana for as soon as he got in and closed the door, she was on him. Her lips were on his and he knew that he’d never make it out of the parking lot without having all of her. Jesus, he was never going to get enough of this woman.

“Harrison,” she panted, her fingers fumbling with the buttons of his shirt. “Do you have the key?”

It took a moment for his brain to understand what she was talking about since he was busy unbuttoning the front of her shirt. He almost swallowed his tongue when he saw the lacy pink bra covering her gorgeous breasts so when he answered, it came out as a low growl, “At home.”

“How….” Her question ended on a moan when he hoisted her up a little higher and took her nipple into his mouth, the lace of the material rasping against his tongue. Somehow, she managed to unfasten and unzip his pants and her clever hands started to frantically push the material off. “Up.”

Still sucking her luscious nipple, he helped push his pants over his hips and then her hands were wrapped around his cock. Pleasure exploded in his brain and if he wasn’t in her in the next second, he’d come before they even started. “Ana.”

“Fishnet tights and a thong,” she panted, stroking his erection. “Rip them.”

Before she even finished speaking, his hands were between her thighs, his fingers sliding between the mesh and tearing them apart. Her tights shredded beneath his fingers with a satisfying ripping sound and she moaned again. Sliding one hand along the seam of her sex, he pulled the flimsy panties aside and felt the damp heat of her arousal. Cold reality hit when he remembered. “I don’t have a condom.”

“Don’t care,” she whimpered, rocking against his hand as she held herself up and guided his erection towards the core of her body. Sucking his lower lip into her mouth, she gently bit down before she managed to say, “Need you now.”

With a groan, he gave in, holding her hips as she took him into the warm depths of her body. When she was flush against his lap, they both paused, as if aware of the significance of the act. He opened his eyes and watched as Ana slowly opened her eyes. The green depths were shining in the low light cast from the restaurant and it was as if they were acknowledging the perfection of this one moment, a moment of the purest bliss, a moment he wished could last forever. How had they gone from laughing to serious so quickly?

Reverently, he reached up and cupped her face in his hands. Slowly, he bent his head until his lips were on hers and he worshiped her mouth. Her fingers curled into the collar of his shirt as her naked torso pressed against his bare skin, the cold metal from his handcuffs pressing against his collar bone. He wanted to handcuff her to his bed and never let her go. Slowly, her body moved against his, her sinuous movements so perfect, he knew he’d never be the same again.

His balls were starting to tighten with impending orgasm but he wanted, needed, Ana to come first. As he continued to cup her face with one hand, gently stroking her cheek, he slid his other hand down her body. With his thumb, he found her clit and started to rub it in rhythm to her movements, slowing down as she slowed down, speeding up as she sped up. Within moments, she was whimpering and her movements became erratic. Thrusting harder and putting more pressure on her clit, he encouraged her to let go.

Tearing her lips away from his, her back arched, her entire body tightened, and she let out a low wail as she came. Her pussy gripped his penis in a decadent vise and he was beyond tempted to fill her with his seed. Luckily, there was the smallest amount of rational thought still left inside of him that knew he couldn’t do that to her. As she slumped against his chest, completely spent, he lifted her off and spent his load over her stomach. The primal part of him hollered in triumph that he had marked his woman.

“Thank you,” she panted, her breath hot and moist against his neck.

Holding her, running his hands up and down her bare back, he was perfectly content. He had just had the most mind blowing sex of his life, and he was happy just holding her afterwards. When she started burrowing closer, her body shivering against his own, he wanted to smack himself in the forehead. Pressing a tender kiss against the shell of her ear, he whispered, “You’re still cold.”

“I’m sorry,” she said, her teeth chattering together.

“Oh, sweetheart,” he breathed, hugging her closer before pushing her away and trying to pull her clothes back together. In his haste to get her naked, he had apparently torn all of the buttons off her shirt. Her stomach glistened from his ejaculate and there was no way he was going to take her back inside to warm up. With a frown, he pulled his pants back up as he thought about the best thing to do. “Let me run inside and grab your coat.”

“And my purse?” she asked with laughter in her voice as she tried to hold the ruined shirt together.

Starting the truck, turning on the heater to full blast, he leaned over and gave her a quick kiss, “I’ll be right back.”

When he pulled back, her eyes were closed and she had a satisfied grin on her lips as she murmured, “Hurry.”

With a huge smile on his face, he ran back into the restaurant and quickly found his brother. Even though he was related to the owners, he wasn’t comfortable going into the backroom, especially since he had never worked there. “Hey, Dan, can you get me Ana’s coat and purse?”

“I’m not really allowed to do that,” Dan hedged, glancing to the side and not quite meeting Harrison’s eyes. “Isn’t she still here? I mean, her car is still outside.”

“Yeah, she’s here,” Harrison said, unable to wipe the grin from his face. “But she’s a little… disheveled at the moment.”

There was a snort from behind him and Harrison looked over his shoulder to see his cousin Asher sitting there nursing a beer, which was surprising since Asher was supposed to be in Asia. Motioning towards his throat, Asher said, “You have something on your neck.”

Swiping at his neck, Harrison saw the smudge of red on his fingertips and smiled. Grabbing a few napkins, he cleaned off the rest and kept grinning. “So I do.” Turning back to Dan, the smile firmly etched onto his face, he asked, “So, can you get her stuff?”

“Sure,” Dan mumbled, his cheeks glowing red as he glanced at Asher before heading to the back room.

“And you call me reckless,” Asher grumbled, taking a long drink from his glass, polishing off half the beer. “At least I don’t fuck the waitresses of this place.”

Harrison snorted as he sat down next to his cousin. “Yes you do, especially when you used to work here.”

Asher just continued to glare as he drank his beer, fury coming off him in waves. Harrison didn’t give it any more thought, though, when Dan reappeared with Ana’s things. As far as he cared, Asher was just pissed off because his business deal fell through, which was probably why he was back home. Turning back to his brother, he grinned, “Thanks, Dan. I’ll see you Sunday afternoon when I pick up Jolie.”

“Yeah,” Dan mumbled, his eyes darting to Asher once again before he went back to work.
