“Positive.”
Her breath left her body.
She was pregnant.
Oh god. She couldn’t believe she was going to be a mother soon!
Tears filled her eyes as pure joy suffused her entire being.
He pressed his face in the softness of her belly and inhaled deeply.
When he looked up at her, his eyes were wet, too.
They stared at each other, conveying their feelings silently.
It was a most special moment where words were not needed to reassure each other of their love.
She rubbed her body languidly
against his side, reveling in the afterglow of another incredible orgasm.
Wes seemed to have passed out beside her. Poor baby was probably exhausted from shooting all night, not to mention shooting everything he got inside her.
She giggled at her own naughty thoughts. Wes’ sense of humor was contagious.
She peeked at his face. His eyes were closed.
She carefully left the bed and took her cellphone. She went back and sat on her knees beside his prone body. She licked her lips as her eyes travelled the length of him. Sprawled naked on the bed, big, bad, delicious and all hers from head to toe.
She gently laid her hand on his lower stomach, her gorgeous engagement ring, winking at her. She lifted her phone and took an abfie.
Feeling mischievous, she posted it on Twitter.
She captioned it,
“Caught between a big rock and a very hard place. What’s a girl to do?”
She snuggled back against him. His arms went around her, enveloping her in his warmth and strength. She had no doubt this was the man who’d go through hell and back with her, hold her hand tightly and never let go.
Wesley Stoner—her ex-pretend boyfriend…but not anymore.
He was as real as the little life beating inside her.
The love of her life.
Her happy ever after.

It was the Grammys
and though she wasn’t nominated for anything, Ava felt like a winner.
“Ava, you broke the internet again two weeks ago. Boy, we’ve barely recovered from that ‘rock and a hard place’ tweet and here you go again. Are you really expecting?”
She laughed, enjoying the spotlight. “Well, what can I say, Maria, Mr. Stoner here lives up to his name. Hard to the core. I won’t be surprised if I’m carrying double.”
She looked up at Wes beside her. He was blushing. Strange because he was the king of shock value.
The interviewer’s eyes widened. “My goodness! Twins?!” she exclaimed.
That was loud enough to steal the press’ attention from everyone else, especially from Tyrone standing just a few meters away, trying to rain on her parade as usual by entering the red carpet with his latest floozy just as she and Wes walked. Poor Skylar was dumped and replaced faster than her TV ratings had nosedived.
The press flocked around her and Wesley, their camera shutters grinding furiously.
Well, Ty, you attention whore, eat this.
“Let’s give them something to talk about,” she whispered in Wes’ ear.
Wes grinned, his arms wrapping around her lovingly.
They shared a stellar kiss.
Ava approached Tyrone
while Wes was talking to Rob Kingston and their friends. She was aware of the cameras trailing her.
She plastered a wide, phony smile on her lips. “Ty!”
He was ready with his equally phony smile, evil thoughts no doubt running through his scheming mind. “Av! Great to see you again.”
Bastard. How did she ever miss this devious side of him fueled by extreme desire to remain on top at the expense of others?
“Don’t pretend anymore, you low-life scum. You set me up again.”
His fake smile disappeared. “Av, we’re in public.”
“Oh, so?”
“Don’t make a scene.”
“You’re suddenly concerned of your reputation now while you didn’t give a shit about mine?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He would try to wiggle his way out of this, the lying scum.
“I’ll make this simple for you, Ty and you better listen carefully.”
He sneered and threw away all pretense of being nice. “Threatening me, Av? I have sixteen years of your dirt for a tell-all. Be careful.”
“Yeah? What are you going to tell the world? That I used to stutter? That I peed in my undies in grade school once because you put a fucking spider in my lunch box?”
He shrugged.
She smiled. “I have one tiny secret about you, too.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Do tell.”
“I can tell the world you have a small dick.”
His face paled. “What the fuck, Av…?”
“Remember that time you were drunk and you wanted to do it? You showed it to me, darling and frankly, I wasn’t wowed.”
“What do you know about dicks. We haven’t—” he spluttered but she cut him.
“Yes, we haven’t. But I’ve seen it and it’s…” She raised her pinky at him and wiggled it in his face.
He looked like he would pass out, his eyes glancing quickly around them to make sure no one was within earshot. “I’m not small. I’m…normal!” he said between gritted teeth.
“Well, I’ve only been with one man intimately but I know enough that once you go XL, you can never go back to small.”
Tyrone looked every inch his shriveled small dick in that moment.
“Don’t ever, EVER fuck with me again or I’m gonna write a song about your tiny personality in my next album.”
Tyrone was rendered speechless.
Smiling like the Empress that she was, she turned around and walked away from her past and into her bright future.
She approached Wes’ group. He met her eyes. She knew he saw her talking to Tyrone and she knew what it took him to just let her be and do her business. She knew he trusted her fully now and she loved him more for that.
“Ava! You take my breath away, as usual,” Rob Kingston drawled, clutching his chest. “Be still my beating heart,” he said teasingly. Rob came with Jaq Montero to support their buddy Wayland Darke, whose band Zero Dark Thirty, was nominated for several Grammys tonight.
She grinned. “Hey, Rob. You should be telling that to your wife.”
“Ex, Av. Ex-wife.”
“Is it official already?”
He shrugged. “It will be. Soon.”
“I saw Krista last week at the Sony Studios. I told her I saw you in Vegas. She kind of asked me how you were doing.”
Rob swallowed, acting like he wasn’t interested, but she knew better. “What did you say?” he asked casually.
“I said you looked like shit.”
“I did not! I was shooting a battle scene!” Rob protested.
Smiling, she lifted her face to Wes. They kissed lightly on the lips.
“He does look like shit,” Wes agreed. “You should call her, man.”
Rob shrugged. “Yeah, I should. We’re selling the house.”
“Oh no, but I love that house! It’s a Frank Lloyd Wright classic!” she said. “I’ve been looking for a FLR original for ages and nothing’s been for sale in so long.”
“Maybe we should buy it, then.” Wes suggested.
She gasped. “Baby! Really?!”
“I saw the house and I love it, too. We need a bigger one than my digs in the hills. For the twins.”
“But I have two houses already.”
“Woman, we’ll live in MY house. The house that I bought for my family,” he said firmly.
“If you put it that way, darling, then yes, please.” She batted her lashes at him.
“You guys are having twins?!” Rob piped in.
Wes grinned smugly. “More likely. Envious?”
Rob cleared his throat. “I’ll call Krista to set up a meeting with you, guys,” he said evasively.
“Thanks, man.”
“I’m so sad for Rob and Krista,”
Ava told Wes as the limo rolled away from the Grammy venue. “They looked so in love when I saw them together last year.”
“Yeah. Krista is a cool girl. But shit happens even to the best couples.”
She fell quiet.
He kissed her forehead. “Not gonna happen to us.”
“How can you be so sure?”
He put his palm over her belly. “We have two great reasons to stick together no matter what.”
She moved closer into his embrace. “You’re so sure I’m carrying twins. We won’t even know until the end of the month.”
“I can feel them. There’s two of them talking to me when I put my ear in your tummy.”
She laughed. “Alright, alright. If you say so.”
She sighed in contentment. They’d been taking it easy the past weeks. Things fell into place one by one. After learning she was pregnant, she talked to her studio bosses. She’d be launching her album as planned but her world tour had to wait until she’d given birth.
As for Wes, well, he was shocked when he was called for a meeting last week by the producers of Super X. He really thought he’d lost all his chances of landing the part but was he wrong. Early next year, he’d start shooting this movie where he’d finally play the hero. She just knew, he was perfect for it.
And the best part? They got married in Las Vegas last week, at the Gangstah Chapel, no less! The man-in-the-suit looked at them with a smug face when they showed up at his chapel wearing the same costumes they wore the first time they went there.
They were planning another very private wedding at Wes’ ranch in Texas next month, with his family and hers and their closest friends as their guests. She couldn’t wait for the big day.
“So what did you say to that dipshit? He looked like he got fucked with a steel pipe in the ass,” Wes intruded into her idyllic musing.
She giggled. “I thought you were eavesdropping.”
“I tried but the place was too noisy.”
She rubbed his hard stomach through his suit. “He won’t be bothering us anymore.”
“He’d better not or I’ll skin his hide.”
She kissed his chin. “I love you.”
“Love you. So what did you tell him?”
“I told him to leave us alone or I’ll kiss and tell about his small dick.”
She felt him tense up. “You saw his dick?!”
“Baby—”
“I thought you haven’t—”
