“As good as you taste, I need to feel you inside me,” she told him as she took his cock in her hands. She positioned herself above him and circled her hips so he slid through her folds and coated him with her moisture. Then, she sank onto his impressive erection. “Oh, hell,” she moaned.

Maddox’s control finally snapped. He gripped her hips hard and pounded up while she bounced harder and faster and more frantic than ever. She was blind to anything but pleasure. Her only focus was on drawing those groans from deep within him. “Bri. So good. Fuck, babe!”

Those words were what she needed to hear. Hips swirling in a seductive dance, she moved faster and faster as the orgasm started at her toes. “Maddox, yes. Yes, yes, oh yes!”

Before she fell apart, he quickly switched their positions so he was on top, pounding into her for all he was worth. She held on as her body exploded once again. His pace never slowed, and she felt him grow harder and bigger as she pulsed around him. A second orgasm started to build inside her before she had even come down from the previous one.

Then, his strokes were short and fast and then, he stilled, growled, and spilled into her with the force of a tsunami. His body shook before collapsing on top of her. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close while her fingers played in the damp hair at his neck.

“Damn girl, that was intense.”

She laughed. “That was incredible.”

And it was. It was better than anything she had ever experienced. The sex was spectacular, her body was still coming down from the high, and Maddox, well he was quickly earning a place in her heart.

But that was for another time, right now she only cared about one thing. “How soon until we can go again?”

Chapter Seven

Maddox was home. Back in Blossom Cove for the wedding of his twin brother.
Who didn’t invite you here, by the way.

As much as Briana wanted him to, he couldn’t forget that important fact. For that reason, they went straight from the airport to a hotel just outside town. He wasn’t ready to see any of them, not yet. He needed time, more time than he had but he couldn’t avoid them either. Leaving had crossed his mind, but he didn’t want to disappoint Bri.

Since when?
He shook that thought off knowing that wasn’t the time to think about that.

He looked beside him at the gorgeous wildcat sleeping in his bed. That’s all he wanted to focus on. Being with Briana had been a wild experience, so intense he’d almost felt uncomfortable at times.

Things were hot to the point of being explosive between them, and they proved that fact many times as they experimented inside the private jet’s bedroom. She’d tied him up and pleasured him until he passed out. Then, he’d taken her every which way possible before she’d begged him to enter her sweet ass. That brought a smile to his face and even now, just thinking about it, he was hard and ready for another round.

What surprised him, though, was that the woman herself was not only incredibly hot but was also an intriguing change from his usual woman. Instead of looking for him to support her, which he would if she wanted him to, Briana was determined to become totally independent. Her only reason for being with him was that she actually liked being with him, which was nice for a change. How would he return to his life when the week — or rather four days since he’d skipped out on the first few days of activities — ended was something he didn’t know.

“It’s too early to be thinking so hard,” she moaned as her body contorted into a stretch. Her smile dimmed when she caught his dark look. “Something wrong?”

He turned to her and blew out a long breath. “I’m not ready.”

For a moment, he thought she might tell him to buck up or man up or some other tough talking cliché, but she didn’t. Instead, Briana lifted the blankets, revealing her luscious naked body and pink tipped breasts and sent him a heated stare. “You have until the rehearsal and dinner to get ready, and I’m willing to help.” She smiled, and his entire body relaxed as he rolled atop of her.

“Are you going to be my little helper.” He growled the question in her ear, pressing his body between her legs.

She nodded with a sultry smile. “Yes, Mr. Davidson. Whatever you like,” she said in a husky whisper that drove him mad.

He spent the rest of the morning buried inside Briana, bringing them both unspeakable pleasure until all they could do was sleep.

“Food and clothes. That’s what I need today,” Briana told Maddox hours later when they woke up, her body was still wrapped around his like a finger monkey. “What do you need?”

Maddox pulled her close and pressed his erection into her. “This.”

She laughed and pressed back, not bothering to quiet the moan that escaped. “Okay . . . well, let’s get me fed and you can help me buy a dress for the wedding. When that’s done, I am but your willing slave.” After the past two and a half days, she meant it. The man had her body on a constant buzz, always ready for him no matter where she was or what she was doing.

Blue eyes grew wide, darkened with desire. “Seriously?”

“Totally serious,” she said.

He hopped from the bed with a big, sexy smile. “Then what are we waiting for, we have a dress to buy.”

Ninety minutes later they were walking, hand in hand, at the mall. It was all very small town couple, which should have worried her. She should have pulled her hand away and shoved in her pocket, but she didn’t. She couldn’t because it felt too damn good wrapped in his.

“I just want something simple that I can wear again if I need to.”

Maddox laughed and gave her arm a placating pat. “Sure thing, Bri.”

He didn’t believe her, and she couldn’t blame him. A man with his wealth was probably used to women who were professional shoppers. She, however, wasn’t like that. Although she sometimes bought pretty things, it wasn’t often. She didn’t like having many things anyway, they made packing hard and if there was one thing that foster care drilled into a person was the need to pack up fast and get gone even faster.

“I’m not like your women, Maddox, I shop for necessity.” There was a mixture of pride and embarrassment in her words.

“Then what are we waiting for?”

She glared and marched into a large department store where she headed straight for the dresses. Black was good, but something soft and multi-purpose would be better. Wrinkle-resistant too. She grabbed four and made her way to the dressing rooms. “Coming?”

He followed, hands roaming all over her body while she undressed. “You really are here in your opinion, not your
other
talents.”

With a pout, Maddox sat back but kept one hand stroking up and down the side of her breast. “No fun.”

She smiled at him, but frowned at one dress and then the other. “None of these are right.” This was why she hated shopping. It took forever.

“I’ll be back,” he said and rushed through the door.

Briana shrugged and turned to the final dress. She would give him some leeway since she knew this was a stressful time for him. He didn’t want to be here, she could tell, but he also desperately wanted to be back into the family fold. Her heart went out to him, and she just hoped they could fix his broken ties this week.

The peach sheath fit beautifully and could easily be dressed up or down. Finally happy with one garment, she stepped out of the stall and went in search of Maddox.

A smile broke into her lips when she saw his handsome face walking towards her. But it was short lived when he didn’t smile back. It was only then when she noticed the different colored shirt he was wearing. Her heart sank as she whispered, “Stone.”

The name was barely out of her lips when strong palms grasped her by the waist. “Hey Bri, I found a few I think you’ll . . . like.”

~

Shit!
The absolute last thing Maddox wanted was to run into anyone from his family before he was ready, and here he was holding silky dresses and staring into the familiar face of his twin. “Stone.”

“Maddox. When did you get to town?”

He didn’t seem
completely
unhappy so that was something. “Last night.” They stood facing each other, hands at their sides, mirror images of one another.

Blonde brows furrowed. “Why didn’t you come home?”

He didn’t know how to answer the question without starting another argument, and that just pissed him off. Maddox Davidson didn’t feel unsure, ever. He didn’t care about what people thought of him, except that now he apparently did.

That was all on me,” Briana interrupted. “I didn’t want to go because no one knew he was coming, never mind bringing a guest.” She looked between both of them with that same look people wore when they stared at identical twins. Her eyes, however, softened when they focused on Maddox. “Thanks for these,” she held the dresses close. “You guys go chat while I finish up, and I’ll meet you in the food court.”

Maddox nodded, grateful she was making this easier for him. He pulled a wad of cash from his wallet and handed it to her.

“I don’t want your damn money, Maddox!” She spun and slammed the stall door behind her. His brother chuckled beside him.

“She’s different.”

They began to walk. “She is that. Nice, though. Crazy too, but in a good way.” Silence had settled between them before Maddox spoke again. “So . . . congratulations.”

“Yeah, thanks.” Stone stopped and turned to his brother. “I’m sorry, Mad. I should have called and told you about proposing to Angie. I should have asked you to be my best man.”

Yeah but you didn’t.
He shrugged, gaze scanning the crowded galleria rather than look into those familiar blue eyes that were filled with emotions he wasn’t willing to name. “Your wedding, your decision.” He didn’t want to be anywhere he wasn’t wanted, certainly not out of obligation. “It’s okay.”

“You’ll be there?”

Maddox gave a short nod. “That’s why I’m here.”

Stone seemed nervous, unsure. He wanted to say something, that much was obvious, but he couldn’t seem to get it out. “Why don’t you bring your friend over to the house for dinner tonight?”

That was a half-hearted invitation if he ever heard one. “Thanks but I’m sure you guys have better things to do this close to your wedding.”

“I’m sorry, Maddox. I shouldn’t have left it so long, but I did, and I don’t know why. At first, I was pissed, and then I wasn’t. I was just so busy life kind of got away from me.”

Basically, you forgot about me.
That was no better than being a pariah. This was worse than he thought it would be.

“It’s alright, Stone. You don’t owe me an explanation.” Apparently, he’d been wrong all these months, thinking they had something to talk about and work out.

“I do, dammit. You’re my best friend, Maddox, my brother!” His voice was strained, full of emotion.

He wanted to believe it, but six months proved otherwise. This was the first time he’d heard his brother’s voice or saw him in half a year. They’d never been apart that long, and never out of communication. Until now.

“I get it. You may never forgive me, and I’ll have to find a way to live with that. But I’m not here to screw up your wedding, alright?” God, he couldn’t stand here another moment and pretend everything was fine and normal. “I’ll be in and out.”

“You’re leaving?” The surprise in Stone’s eyes had just a hint of pain.

“Going back
home
.” It was immature, but he was tired of standing here pretending.

“When?”

“When the wedding is over.”

“Why?”

He shrugged, but then his blood boiled, and he couldn’t help himself any longer. “Seriously? Because Angie called and asked me to show up and walk her down the aisle.
She
called
me
because it mattered to her. So I’m here. For the wedding. Like
she
asked.” He ran a shaky hand through his hair. “I need some air,” he mumbled and stalked off.

Briana witnessed the exchange between Maddox and his brother. It was tense and strained, and heartbreaking. He wanted so badly to be forgiven and accepted again by his family, but he was too proud to say so. Stone tried, but he had no idea the kind of hurt his brother was suffering in silence. Maddox stomped away, leaving Stone looking after him with his heart in his eyes.

She went to him. “That could have gone better.” At his glare, she held her hands up. “I’m not here to judge or to fight.”

“Then why are you here?”

She sighed and looked up into blue eyes that were almost familiar. They were so similar yet so different. “Because I care about Maddox and he won’t say this to you. He’s hurting. He knows he was wrong about Angie, and he feels terrible, but he feels worse that she’s the only one who called and offered her forgiveness.”

Stone looked gut-punched. “He told you about it?”

“We’re friends.” With benefits, but that was none of his business. “He feels hurt and betrayed, and he doesn’t know how to let you back in, Stone. Don’t give up on him, please. He gave me a chance when I really needed one, and he wants you back in his life. Give him a chance.”

She gave him a small smile and followed Maddox out of the mall. When she reached the parking lot, she saw him leaning against the car, looking like her every fantasy come to life.

“Were you meddling?”

She smiled up at him. “I was, but I wasn’t too nosey or too invasive.” She went on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his mouth. “What do you say we skip the fancy restaurant I know you had planned and grab Chinese? I saw a place on the way here.”

Maddox laughed and helped her into the car. “Best idea you’ve had all day.”

“Really?” she asked with a saucy laugh, grabbing his wrist and drawing his hand up her leg. “Because I was sure you’d think this was a pretty great idea.”

He groaned when he got to the bare flesh of her core. “You dirty girl, I like it.” One finger slipped inside, making her gasp and hang on to his shoulders which blocked any outsider's view of her. “So wet for me already.”

“Always,” she moaned. It was true. If Maddox was around, her panties were damp, and her body was tuned into the same frequency as his.

In and out his finger moved until she quivered, and he stopped.

“Food,” he answered when she gave him disappointed eyes.

“You know, there’s always room service.”

He smiled at her and opened the car door.

When they made it back to the hotel a short while later, they were both out of their minds with desire. This time, they didn’t make it past the hall before Briana had her face pressed against the wall while he rammed into her slick channel from behind.

It was hard and fast, a little rough and whole lot hot. Biting her neck, Maddox moved them to the common room and bent her over a table. She gripped it and arched her back, offering her dripping wet center to him once again.
