“Lexi? We were so worried! Don’t hurt her Tyler!” Talon shouts at his brother then tugs me from Tyler’s arms to squish between his. Then I hear a door open and Alex and Johnny come running before pulling me into their arms.

“It’s okay Talon, I actually don’t hurt at all I’m just a bit stiff, I think I just slept funny last night.”

Johnny wipes the hair from my face and kisses my forehead then holds me tightly against his broad warm chest again.

“Lexi, you’ve been asleep for a couple of days…not just a night.” Alex says sitting next to me.

“How many days are we talking about here?” I ask wearily.

“Just over two and a half weeks.” Talon says from behind me.

“What! What happened?” I ask them.

“Hey look! Her eyes are normal again.” Tyler says smiling at me and looking into my eyes.

They explain to me what happened, how they got Alex’s friend whose a witch to heal me and how my eyes turned a grey or silver sparkly colour, they also explain that my body needed to rest and heal and it took two weeks for it to do that.

After showering and dressing I walk downstairs in search for food.
I’m starved…
I find Alex preparing chicken in the kitchen with salads and different side dishes.

“What’re you making?” I startle Alex, she doesn’t see me come down from the stairs and she drops a plate on the floor. I rush around the table to see blood on the floor by her shoeless feet.

“Oh my god Alex, I’m so sorry!” I apologize to her but she says its fine and that she will heal quickly but I still panic.

“Let me look how bad it is.” I tell her as I bend down and move the glass that’s on the floor beside her feet. Her one foot has a long gash that’s bleeding.

As soon as my hand gently lifts her foot, I see a small silver orb-like light flickering from my fingers and it dances around my hand till it’s over the cut. I freeze and so does Alex, I look closer and Alex leans down to look too. It’s healing her wound until it’s just a small white scar on her tanned skin.

I suddenly drop her foot and move away from her, sliding my ass on the floor till my back is against the cabinets on the other side of the kitchen. Alex’s face is white as a ghost as she stares
back and forth from my hand to her foot. I’m in shock and confused, I don’t understand what just happened and where the light came from, I stare at the hand where the little silver orbs appeared from a minute ago.

“You ladies ready to barbe-?” Johnny walks in all cheerfully until he sees Alex’s face and me sitting on the floor looking at my hand.

He rushes to where I’m sitting and lifts me up sitting me on the counter and starts looking me over for injuries.

“What’s wrong Alex? Is she hurt? Are you hurt Angel? Can SOMEONE tell me what happened?” Johnny starts to yell.

“Sh…sh…she h..healed me…” Alex stammers still in shock.

I’m still staring at my hand in shock, I shake my head and put my hand down and they both just stare at me.

“How did I do that?” I whisper to myself but Johnny and Alex hear me.

“Jon it was the same silver light we saw when Noelle healed her!”

“Are you okay Angel?” Johnny asks me with concern.

“I’m fine...I'm feeling great actually. Just starving but I …don’t know…what…how THAT happened.” I say and look to where Alex is standing. Her colour is coming back to her face and she is now able to form whole sentences.

“Don’t worry Hun, I will phone Noelle now and find out what I can.” She says as she reaches for her phone and then mumbles softly to herself unaware we can hear her, “…that was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen…”

Johnny chuckles beside me, and takes my hand helping me off the counter.

“Let’s get you fed, what do you say?” Johnny says and my stomach growls in agreement and we both laugh at the good timing.

“Johnny, I don’t think we should tell anyone about what just happened.” I say as he puts the chicken on the grill outside.

“I was about to suggest the same thing to you baby girl, we need to find out all we can and what this means exactly.” he replies.

I see the boys throwing a ball down in the garden so I run down to meet them. I’m about five feet away from Tyler when I get a slicing pain in my right foot; I grab it and realize it’s the same foot I healed on Alex. I look at my foot but there’s no cut or nothing there, I can only feel the pain, the twins come running towards me all worried.

“What happened?” Talon yells trying to pick me up ignoring my objections.

“I’m fine! Calm yourselves down! I just tripped.” I lie, I can see how their body have taken strain over worrying about me these past few weeks and I’m not going to put them through anymore if I can help it.

“Okay okay!” Tyler and Talon put their hands up in defeat. I play ball with the boys and I can see they still a bit weary and handle me with care.

Alex, Johnny, the twins and I are all sitting by the table that is covered with food and we’re all digging in. Jacob would usually be with us but he is out on guard duty this afternoon.

“Angel?” I look up to see Johnny calling me, “Will you be able to tell us what happened that night we found you and where all your injuries came from.” He asks me with such sincerity in his voice. I can’t help but tell him the truth and all of it even though inside my heart is beating rapidly as all the memories of what happened come rushing in.

“Well, remember I told you I was in an accident? I wasn’t. I just got home and decided I would take a nap. Georgina walked into my room and we started having an argument about how my friends are too good for me.” As I say this I notice Alex’s face flaring with hatred at the mention of Georgina’s name.

“She made me angry and I said some really cruel things to her, she slapped me so hard I kinda flew across the room and fell into my bedside table. A frame that was on the table shattered and a large piece of glass cut me.”

Everyone at the table has looks of hate and disgust on their faces but I know it’s not aimed at me, even though it makes me uneasy I continue. I notice the twins holding their arm rests of the chairs so tight their knuckles are white. I’ve never seen Talon look so angry before but I continue.

“Somehow my friends found me and took me to a doctor, they cleaned me up and their whole family took good care of me.” Their faces start to relax.

“I have three best friends; Jax and Ronny and then my boyfriend Drake.” I hear the boys beside me growl and I pat both of their hands calming them.

“They are basically my family back home like you guys are here. So on Friday night we were watching movies when Jax and Drake got into a fight.” I’m not mentioning the fact that it was about me because I know if I do they will never let me see them again.

“All of a sudden Jax turns into the huge black wolf and then Drake, followed by Ronny’s smaller wolf. I didn’t know what to do it was so scary because they were all fighting and growling. I could hear teeth snapping, I was so frightened and I think I was in shock. I don’t know why but I just had to get out of there, I needed to get somewhere safe, I was just so afraid. I’m not sure why I reacted the way I did because I knew wolves existed since all of you but I couldn’t believe that THEY were keeping it from me, it felt like I didn’t know them and couldn’t trust them so I ran and ran until I couldn’t force my body to push forward any longer.”

Alex has tears running down her face at this point, she is an emotional woman and Johnny comes over to me and pulls me into a hug. They don’t say anything for a while until Johnny says.

“You know you ran pretty far, you were a few kilometers from our territory's border. That’s unusual for a human to run that fast or to have even gotten that far in the state you were in. You definitely have our blood in you. I’ve got a feeling that you are going to turn on your eighteenth birthday and you are going to be one very strong she-wolf!” he says proudly.

“I agree, she is already such a strong human, imagine her as a wolf! You are going to be very powerful my love!” Alex says.

Another week has passed and Alex and Johnny convinced me to stay with them in the meantime, until I figured what I wanted to do about my friends and the situation that occurred a few weeks back. Johnny organized with the local High School that I would be able to be home schooled. Since Alex is a teacher there she helps me with a few of my subjects. The High School has also agreed that when it’s time to write my exams, I will do them at the school.

Every day has been hard for me, even though I miss my friends I have been so confused. I’ve lost a lot of weight since that night due to all the training I have been doing with the boys. Although I do feel stronger every single day, I’m still pretty week against them since they are full blooded wolves
but I’m stronger than I was before. They can’t seem to understand how and why I can run so fast and keep my stamina up, after all I’m only a human. However they do think that it’s because I have wolf genes and they’re probably right.

Alex told me that Noelle is trying to find out what’s happening to me, she says that
she thinks I could’ve taken some of the power of her ancestors when she channeled them to heal me but she only deals with black magic and she says that the magic that I’m dealing with sounds like pure magic…White Magic.

I haven’t healed anything since Alex, and I haven’t mentioned the fact that once
I heal someone I take on the pain that I took from them.

Another two weeks have gone by and I’m starting to miss my friends and worry about Georgina. I want to see them, I miss them terribly. I’ve been thinking lately about how I reacted when I found out they were wolves, I shouldn’t have fled like I did, I know they must be worried about me.

I told Johnny that I was thinking of going back while we have school break coming up so I can clear things at home. He says that he wants to train me to defend myself against wolves, so he will feel more comfortable with leaving me around my friends.

I agree and for another week and a half, he trains me fighting against wolves. I get to see Johnny’s wolf, Turner, he is massive and black
just like Jax was apart from the white stripe on his chest. I also see Alex’s wolf form, Sky, who’s smaller than Turner but she is a dark brown, almost black, when you look at her under the sun you see she’s just a dark brown with white paws. They both are absolutely beautiful.

Talon and Tyler’s wolves are also gorgeous with white fur they both are identical and the only way I can tell the difference is looking into their eyes.

It’s a Friday morning and today is my last training session, around lunch time I will go back to Point Bright and face the people I cowardly ran away from.

“Angel don’t you wanna come here a sec, we wanna show you something.” The twins yell finishing the others sentence.

I walk to the lounge. All four of them are standing by the door with huge smiles on their faces.

“Come here and close your eyes, we have a surprise for you.” Johnny says as he puts his large rough hands over my eyes and everything goes black. I hear them open the door and guide me outside then I hear them snickering around me.

“We thought that since you worked so hard with training and especially how well you have been doing, we wanted to show you how proud we are of you. So we bought you a little something.” Johnny says as he removes his hands from my face to reveal a brand new shiny white Audi A5 parked right in front of their house.

I gasp and widen my eyes in shock, “You bought me....a CAR?” I squeal and jump up and down like a total girl and hug them while they laugh at my reaction.

“Yip, you need one to get back and forth don’t you? Go have a look!” Alex smiles.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I jump up and down and clap my hands like tool but I don't care. I run to have a closer look at my new baby. It’s brand new and perfect. Johnny and Alex also have the same car but Johnny’s is Black and Alex’s is silver.

“I remember that day we went to get take out in my car and you told me that it was your favorite, that one day you are going to get yourself a white one. Well baby girl today is THAT day.” Johnny tells me as he leans on the driver’s door looking down at me in the driver’s seat.

I jump up and give him a big hug. “I love you guys so much, thank you for everything you guys have done for me. You will never know how much I appreciate it.” I speak into Johnny’s chest.

“Angel we love you too, we just want to make sure you’re safe and happy.” Johnny says.

We say our goodbyes after lunch and I promise them that I will contact them as soon as I get to Georgina’s. My phone was ruined by the blood and it wouldn’t switch on, Alex wanted to buy me a new one but I refused, they have already given me so much and I can afford to buy my own cellphone.

I put a bag of clothes into my new car and drive off. I don’t look into the rear view mirror because I might just turn around and go back. I stop off and get a new phone on the way home, making my way into the park where Georgina stays, the nerves of seeing her slowly takes hold of my body.

CHAPTER 25:

I park my car next to hers and pick up my bag from the backseat. I walk up to the porch and use the key from the pot plant sitting next to the door to unlock it. The house is a complete mess beer bottles and dishes lying everywhere, I notice her bag is missing so she must be out.
