Overlapping/Coexisting Domains
When I first described the heavens as they currently are, I briefly mentioned the concept of the multidimensional planets in a multidimensional universe. According to scripture, Earth houses more than one level of existence, and these levels of existence vary in their degree of glory.
1. The Prisons in the Lower Regions of the Earth
Scripture mentions the existence of at least four regions within the Earth:
• Hell, the two places of departed spirits: “Hades” in Greek and “Sheol” in Hebrew, both of which are translated as “hell” and consisted of two regions, a place of torment (Matthew 16:18; Luke 16:19-31) and a place called paradise, or Abraham’s bosom (Luke 16:19-31; 23:43).
• Tartarus, where fallen angels who sinned in Genesis 6 are held (1 Peter 3:19; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 6-7).
• The Abyss, referred to as “the deep” (Luke 8:26-31; Romans 10:7), and “bottomless pit” (Revelation 9:1-3, 9:11, 11:7, 17:8; 20:1-10).
Scripture also mentions a place of eternal destruction, called the lake of fire, which the above four mentioned places are thrown into after Judgment Day (Revelation 20:14). It could be that the lake of fire is in the center of Earth, but I’m doubtful of this, since it is never mentioned in reference to the center of Earth. Other parts of scripture suggest that the lake of fire will not be located within Earth; I will disclose more information on this in successive chapters.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
1.1. Hell—the Places of Departed Human Spirits
Prior to the resurrection of Christ, there was a place in the center of Earth called hell (“Hades” in Greek, “Sheol” in Hebrew). It’s still there, but its structure is most likely different now than it was before the resurrection of Christ. In the Old Testament times, Hades/Sheol was a prison for
all
departed human spirits. One part of it was known as Abraham’s Bosom; it was also called Paradise. It was a blissful place of peace, reserved for the saints of the Old Testament times, but it was still a prison separating them from God. The other part of Hades/Sheol was a place of burning fire, with varying degrees of torment. A chasm separated the paradise portion of hell from the torment region. This structure of Hades/Sheol was altered after Christ died on the cross. When he entered the paradise portion of hell, he freed all the spirits trapped there (Luke 23:42—43; 2 Corinthians 5:8).

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today you will be with me in paradise.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
*Being in the presence of the Lord while apart from the body is a blessing that the Old Testament prophets Abraham and Samuel did not enjoy until Christ fulfilled his mission on the cross (Luke 16:25; 1 Samuel 28:11—15).
Now, in New Testament times, all departed spirits faithful to God get to go to the highest heaven to be with God (2 Corinthians 5:8) and await a reunification with their physical bodies. The structure of Hades/Sheol was therefore altered after the crucifixion of Christ. If the paradise portion of hell still exists, it’s either empty, or it was taken over by beings from the torment region of hell or fallen angels who still inhabit the first and/or second heavens. I personally lean in favor of the idea that it was taken over by fallen angels in the first and/or second heaven. If beings from the torment region of hell could have traversed the chasm to get there, they would’ve done so long before Christ entered the area, and the place known as Abraham’s Bosom wouldn’t have been such a delightful place to be. In any case, if this place still exists, and evil beings have taken it over, it would explain why non-Christians who have had near-death experiences frequently describe a place of paradise, which motivates them to perpetuate the false doctrine of the nonexistence of a place of burning torment after death. Noted physician, lecturer, and authority on near-death experiences, Raymond Moody, Jr., Ph.D., MD, documents in his research, over 100 cases of near-death experiences,
all
of which were extremely positive. I find it more likely to suggest some kind of deception is at work here, rather than postulate that
all
of the near-death cases he documented just happened to be Christians.
1.2. Tartarus and the Abyss—the Places of Nonhuman Spirits
Scripture mentions a place known as Tartarus, which is described as a place specifically designed to hold the spirits of the fallen angels who sinned before and after the flood of Noah; scripture has no record of humans or demons ever going to this place of torment (note that demons are not the same as fallen angels). Scripture also holds no record of humans going to a place referred to as the Abyss; the Abyss is also called the bottomless pit. The Abyss is like Tartarus in that it was designed for fallen angels (Revelation 9:3-11), but unlike Tartarus, it also contains disincarnate pre-Adamite spirits as well. Both the Nephilim (only half- human—Genesis 6) and other beings of an earlier creation (inhabitants of the pre-Adamite civilization), are held there as well, and these beings will be discussed later in this book.

And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the Earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the Earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the Earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he strikes a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
They had a king over them, who is the angel from the bottomless pit.
His name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
1.3. The Lake of Fire
The most terrible place of all is the lake of fire. There are currently no spirits in this particular place because scripture states that they will be cast there in the future. The first beings thrown there will be the false prophet and the Anti- christ—who is referred to as the beast (Revelation 19:20). Then, on the Day of Judgment following the thousand-year reign of Christ, Satan and everyone else who never believed or accepted God’s invitation to salvation will be thrown there (Revelation 20:10—15).
While Hades/Sheol, Tartarus, and the Abyss are all temporary regions in inner Earth that will one day pass away, the lake of fire will exist forever. The lake of fire is the final location of torment for all unfaithful spirits, both human and non- human (Revelation 20:10—15).
2. The First Heaven
Aside from the various realms existing within Earth, scripture also mentions the existence of a realm in the immediate sky surrounding Earth. This place, which geographically is the upper atmosphere of Earth, is referred to indirectly as the first heaven. Simply look up the word “heaven” in
Strong’s Enhanced Lexicon,
and you will find “sky” as one of the definitions.

Many scriptures that refer to heaven are clearly speaking of the sky. People were looking into the sky when the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus as a dove (Mark 1:10 and others); Jesus was physically taken up into the sky in a cloud, which the angels referred to as heaven (Acts 1:9—11); and New Jerusalem will descend from the sky, which is called heaven (Revelation 21:2). Many other scriptures refer to the clouds as heaven (Genesis 7:23, 8:2; Jeremiah 51:16, and others).

And straightway coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Acts 1:9-11
And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfast toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Revelation 21:2
And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things,
and the fowl of the heaven;
and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
The first heaven is not to be confused with the second heaven. Second heaven is outer space (another definition given in
Strong’s Enhanced Lexicon,
clearly derived from the context of celestial spheres—Genesis 1:15-20, 22:17; Deuteronomy 4:19; Isaiah 14:12-14; Psalms 8:3, 148:3-4; Ezekiel 32:8).

The first heaven shouldn’t be confused with the third heaven either. The third heaven is also called the highest heaven (Deuteronomy 10:14; 1 Kings 8:27; 2 Chronicles 2:6, 6:18; Nehemiah 9:6; Psalms 115:6; 2 Corinthians 12:2; Revelation 8:10 and many others). The third heaven is the glorified planet where God’s throne is, located in the northern hemisphere of the universe (Isaiah 14:12-14; Psalms 75:6-7).
Concerning the first heaven, scripture states that Satan is currently in charge of this region of Earth (with God-imposed limitations). Satan is known as the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4), the prince of the power of the air (Ephe- sians 2:1-3), and the prince of this world (John 12:31). I consider this fact alone to be sufficient evidence suggesting that many alien abductions are conducted by fallen angels who are in the first heaven—right here on Earth.
Delving farther into this realm, the book of Daniel mentions a being known as the “prince of Persia,” a fallen angel who hindered the archangel Gabriel for twenty-one days when Gabriel set out on his mission to deliver a message to the prophet Daniel (Daniel 10:5-21). One can even picture the event: Gabriel traveled from the third heaven (the planet of God’s throne), through the second heaven (outer space), passing through various dimensions of glory as he went, then encountered resistance once reaching the first heaven (the outer atmosphere of Earth). The archangel Michael (“Daniel’s prince,” and therefore the prince of Israel—Daniel 10:21) assisted him against this resistance, leading an angelic procession from the region in the first heaven located over Israel, where he rules, into the region over Persia, where Daniel was located. Michael battled against the prince of Persia and other satanic beings in authority over the region of Persia in order to penetrate the first heaven to get to Daniel. By the time the archangel Gabriel was finally able to breach the enemy’s blockade and enter our current dimension, twenty-one days had passed. (This sounds sort of like
Star Wars;
those who wonder why prayers take a little while to be answered sometimes can find a clue from these passages.)

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set your heart to understand and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. How can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? For as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, and said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me. Then said he, Do you know wherefore I come unto thee? And now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will show thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
