I slipped on some jeans and paced my room, not
sure if I should just call security or go intervene myself. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard one word.  The fucker said “Linds.” I couldn’t make out what else he was saying, but if there was even a chance someone was hurting her, I had to stop it.

I slipped on my boots in case I had to kick the door open but I didn’t bother with a shirt and stor
med out of my room. I paused for a second in the hallway and listened to make sure it was the room next door and not above me. I heard another sob and that was all I needed to spur me into action.

I pou
nded on the door next to mine. “What’s going on in there?  Lindsey, are you in there? Are you ok?”

There was a pause.
“Go away, Cane,” a female voice said feebly. It sounded like she had been crying.  What had that asshole done to her? Was I too late?

“I’m not going a
way until you answer the door. I have the room next door and I heard crying.  Let me see that you’re ok.” I wanted to break the door down but I didn’t want whoever was in there with her to hurt her even worse.

“Please,” she pleaded, unable
to stop the sob that escaped. “Go away.”

I sent a quick text to Drew to get hotel s
ecurity to Lindsey’s room ASAP. I shoved my phone back into my pocket and took a deep breath. I scrubbed my hand with my face. This was it; I was going in.

I stepped back from the door
and kicked my foot against it. I didn’t even give them a warning. It gave a little on the first kick but didn’t open completely, so I kicked it again. This time it flew open and my jaw dropped when I found Lindsey on the floor with her robe up around her waist. That dude I saw her talking to earlier in the lobby was behind her on his knees with his pants down. What the fuck?

“What the hell man?
Get out of here,” Shaun said, standing up and pulling his pants up. He fastened them and came at me, his fist raised.

I wanted to help Lindsey, but I had to take
care of this jack-wagon first. I punched him in the gut and kneed him in the balls before punching him right in the nose. He tumbled to the floor with a groan. I stood over him and put my boot right on his crotch. I applied pressure and he moaned again.

“You don’t even deserve to have a dick, you sick fuck,” I said an
d pressed harder with my boot. He squealed like a little girl, mumbling incoherently; I could only guess he was begging me to stop.

I glanced over at Lindsey.
Tears were running down her face and she had adjusted her robe to cover her again. I wanted to reach out and touch her - comfort her and promise this jerk would never get near her again.

Hotel security showed up and I removed my foot from between his legs
. I stayed near him in case he tried to run.

“What’s going on here?” One of the security guards asked.

“He attacked me,” Lindsey sniffled. “He forced himself into my room.” She shivered and hugged herself. “Then he tried to force himself on me. If Cane hadn’t come in when he did, I’m not sure what would have happened.” Her eyes filled with tears and I went over to her, putting my arm around her.

The other guard got out some handcuffs and put them
on Shaun. “We’ll have to call the police and report this. We can keep him until they arrive. They’ll take him but you will have to go down to the station to make a statement.”

Sh
e nodded and snuggled into me. I rubbed her arm and pulled her close. They pulled Shaun off of the floor and his face was all bloody from where I punched his nose. He’s lucky that’s all he got.

“We’re not done,
Linds. Eventually I’ll find you and next time you won’t get away,” he threatened her, his eyelids hooded.

She whimpe
red and I started towards him. “You fucking asshole! You leave her alone!” I was about to punch him again, but the guard pulled him back.

“Easy now,” he said.
“We will get him out of here.  The hotel will get you another room and we’ll call you there when we need you.”

She looked around and chewed on her
lip. Her eyes were wide with panic. There was no way I was going to let her stay alone tonight. “You can call my room. I’m next door. She will be with me.”

She glanced over at me, her green eyes full of surprise, but then a look of relief pass
ed over her face.

The guard looked to her fo
r confirmation and she nodded. “Ok, then. Sorry about this ma’am. Someone will call you soon.”

They turned to drag that asshole
out the door when Drew came in. “What the hell happened here?” He asked, looking around the room.

“Hold on a sec,” I told
him before turning to Lindsey. “Get your stuff. You’re staying with me.” There went my plans for a sex-filled Vegas stay, but I didn’t care. I would live for a few days.

“Thank you,” she whispered and went into the bathroom.

“Is she ok? Why was Shaun being dragged out of here in cuffs?” Drew asked me again.

I shook my
head and sat down on the bed. “That sick fuck broke into her room and was going to rape her.”

“Holy shit!” He rubbed the back of his neck and sat nex
t to me. “What happened?”

“I got out of my shower and could hear
someone making a lot of noise. At first I thought it was two people going at it, but I soon realized one person wasn’t into it. I heard him call her Linds so I came right over. I had to kick down the door.” I ran my hand through my hair. “He had her on her knees and had dropped his pants behind her. If I was another minute longer…” I shuddered.

“Fuck,” he said.
“Good thing you were next door.”

“Yeah.
I’m keeping her with me while we are here. I don’t trust the cops to keep him from attacking her again.” I looked over to the bathroom door wondering if she was ok in there. I would give her another minute or two.

“Ok.”
He stood up and got out his phone. “I’ll take care of this. You just take care of her.”

She came out of the bathroom in yoga pants and a t-shirt, carrying her
make-up bag. She threw a few things in her suitcase and zipped it up. “I’m all set.”

“Lindsey,” Drew said. “I’m so sorry.
I will take care of everything. You just rest.”

“Thanks, Drew,” she said and attempted to give him a smile.

I got up off the bed and grabbed her suitcase. “Let’s go to my room. You can shower if you want and we can get room service.”

She bit her lip and nodded.
She looked so damn vulnerable right now with no make-up on and her hair hanging undone around her face. A bruise was forming where Shaun had hit her. It made my blood boil every time I thought about his hands on her.

Usually when I saw her she was such a badass with her fiery
red hair and I wanted to fuck her silly. Right now all I wanted to do was protect her.

“See you later, Drew.
Call me if you need something.” I walked out into the hallway and turned to make sure she was following me. I unlocked the door to my room and held the door for her. Once she was inside I put out the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign and dead bolted the door.

She put her laptop bag on the table and sat down on the edge of th
e bed.  I sat down next to her. “Are you okay, Lindsey?” I asked softly.

She didn’t answer me a
t first - she didn’t even move. “Yes,” she finally mumbled. “I’m going to shower.” She went over to her suitcase and got out a few things before going into the bathroom.

I s
ighed and kicked off my boots. I sat further up on the bed and turned on the TV. Now that I had her here, I wasn’t sure what to do with her. I picked up the room service menu from the night stand. Maybe we should eat. I called and ordered a pizza and some other things, along with some beer.

She came out of the ba
throom as I hung up the phone. She was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I couldn’t help but grin when I saw it was a Hookers and Hand Grenades t-shirt.

“Nice shirt,” I teased.

She looked down and laughed. “Thanks.”

“I ordered some food.”

“Thanks.” She stood there and looked around like she didn’t know where she should sit.

“You can sit by me up here. I don’t bite.” I patted the bed next to me.
“Well, unless you want me to.”

She rolled her eyes but I co
uld see the smile on her face. She climbed up on the bed and sat next to me.  he took a pillow and hugged it against her. “Thank you,” she whispered. “If you hadn’t come when you did…”

Shhh,” I said and put a finger to her lips. “I did get there, so let’s not think about it, ok?”

She nodded.
“Ok.”

“Good.”
I sat back and tried to watch TV but the smell of her shampoo was distracting me. It smelled like a garden full of flowers in the spring. She crossed her long legs and I had to adjust to make room for the bulge forming in my pants.

There was a knock on the
door and I sprung off the bed. Thank God room service was here. I wouldn’t have to worry about talking while we ate.

I tipped the guy and rolle
d the cart back into the room. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw her. She was on her knees in the middle of the bed without any clothes on. Holy shit.

“Cane,” she said.
“I want you.”

“Are you sure?
After what happened?” I walked around to the foot of the bed.

She crawled over to me an
d reached for my belt buckle.  he looked up at me and nodded. “Yes, I’m very sure.”

She undid my jeans
and freed my semi-erect cock. She put it in her warm, wet mouth and I tipped my head back with a groan. Maybe I would get laid here in Vegas after all.

Chapter
Ten

Lindsey

I took Cane deep into my mouth and teased the underside of his cock with the tip of my tongue, el
iciting a groan from his lips. I brought my hand between his legs and cupped his heavy balls, massaging them with my fingers.

What occurred this afternoon was probably the worst t
hing that ever happened to me. I've messed around with a lot of guys, but I've never been in a situation where they didn't stop when I said no. My mother always told me one day one of these "deviant boys" would make me regret my career choice and today she was almost right.

But Cane saved me.
The last person in the world I ever expected, came to my rescue when I needed him most. He wasn't a total dick head like he wanted everyone to believe.

Maybe it was the adrenaline running through my veins, but I was never more at
tracted to him than I was now. It probably wasn’t a good idea to sleep with him after Shaun attacked me, but I needed him. I wanted to take back my sexuality in some way.

He buried his hands in my hair and guided my mouth up and down his
erection. I could feel him swell in my mouth and from his quick shallow breaths, I knew he was getting close. I looked up at him and tried to show him with my eyes I wanted him to come in my mouth. I wanted to taste him like he had done to me the night before.

He threw his head back and moaned my name, his body tensing
as he released down my throat. I swallowed every last drop eagerly and sucked him dry until he was semi-erect in my mouth.

He grabbed my arm
s and pulled me up against him. "That was fucking sexy," he mumbled, pressing his forehead against mine and wrapping his arms around my waist.

I sm
iled and leaned in for a kiss. My arms snaked around his neck while his lips explored mine. His tongue made its way into my mouth, teasing mine, before the kiss deepened.

"Fuck me, Cane," I mumbled against
his lips when the kiss ended. Despite having come in my mouth minutes earlier, he was hard again, his cock rubbing against my thigh.

"I can't resist a girl
who talks dirty," he groaned and slid his hands down to cup my ass.

"Then don't," I whispered, moving back
. My eyes never left his as I pulled it over my head and tossed it on the floor.

"Maybe I wanted to fuck you in my band t-shirt," he said with a crooked smile on his face.

"Later," I replied as I shimmied out of my shorts. I spread my legs slightly, letting him have a glimpse of how wet I was. Going down had turned me on even more than I already was and I wanted him to see how much.

He glanced between my legs and bit his lips, his body sh
uddering. He pushed his jeans the rest of the way down before kicking them off and moving on top of me.
