That was all it took for her to lose it, screaming out his name as her tight little cunt contracted around his cock, squeezing him, milking him, until he exploded deep inside of her. He alternated between calling out her name in a guttural voice, and cursing loudly as he continued to spill himself. The bed shook almost violently, the headboard slamming against the wall and causing the priceless Benoit seascape mounted on the wall above the bed to tilt precariously.

They both collapsed in a sweaty, messy heap afterwards, Julia’s upper body somehow hanging half off the bed. Nathan gave his head a little scratch as he tried valiantly to figure out how that might have happened. He propped himself up on an elbow and grinned as he stared down at his beautiful girl.

She made quite a sight as she lay beneath him, their bodies still joined intimately. Her eyes were still tightly shut and her breathing raspy. Mascara was smudged beneath her eyes, and her lips looked bee-stung from the aggressive way he’d been kissing her. She had one boob in and one out of that sexy little bra, and her skin was moist with their combined perspiration. One of her legs was bent out at an angle, and somewhere along the way she’d lost a shoe. She looked incredibly sexy, impossibly gorgeous, and very, very well-fucked.

Julia blinked up at him, the look in her big green eyes more than a little dazed. “Hey, there,” she murmured teasingly. “Does this mean you missed me?”

He burst out laughing and carefully, regretfully, withdrew from her before rolling onto his side and tugging her into his arms. “Yeah, baby, you could definitely say that. Enough so that you’ll never again get me to agree to spending even one night apart, much less three. Girl getaways suck. And whoever thought up that idiotic term anyway?”

She grinned and slid her palm to his cheek. “Probably some girl who didn’t have the dirtiest talker in town waiting in her bed,” she quipped. “And I don’t plan to spend any other nights away from you, lover boy. Except –” she paused.

Nathan frowned. “What? Do
not
tell me you agreed to go on some crazy-ass adventure with your sister. I don’t care what bullshit she feeds you, Julia, you are
not
-”

“Hush.” She laid a palm over his mouth. “I’m not going anywhere with Lauren. Her idea and mine of a great vacation are light years apart. She’d be all about camping with the nomads in the Sahara Desert while I’d be getting a massage at a five star hotel in the French Riviera. No, when I started talking about spending a night apart I was referring to – well, the night before the wedding. It’s, um, sort of traditional, you know.”

He smiled at her indulgently. “I get it. And I agree – reluctantly, though. While I don’t like the idea one bit I realize your parents – especially your dad – will probably insist on it.”

Julia nodded. “Overall they’ve always been pretty modern and open-minded about stuff, but for something like this – well...”

He gave her a kiss. “I know. And so long as it’s just one night I’ll find a way to deal with it. Though it’ll be awfully lonely in that huge owner’s suite all by myself.”

She gave a little squeal of delight. “Ian’s giving us use of the owner’s suite for the wedding?”

“Yup. I was going to wait a little longer to tell you, have it be something of a surprise, but – well, I’m sort of lousy at keeping secrets,” he admitted.

Julia giggled. “No kidding. So when did Ian tell you all this?”

“Yesterday. We had a quick lunch, possibly the quickest lunch I’ve ever had with him. He’d just returned from a business trip the night before, seemed crazy busy. At least he kept checking his phone constantly and sending texts. Must have been something important because that just isn’t like Ian normally.”

“I agree.” Julia grinned impishly. “Betcha he’s finally got a woman in his life. And you know exactly who I’m betting that lucky girl is.”

Nathan sighed and began the very enjoyable task of undressing her. “Are we still on that?” he asked almost wearily, even as he unhooked her bra and tossed it on the floor.

“Mmm.” She let out a long sigh of bliss as his hands cupped her bare breasts. “Um, what – what were we talking about again?”

He chuckled as he unfastened her stockings and rolled them off her legs one at a time, before removing the garter belt. At some point during their frantic lovemaking she’d somehow managed to kick the tiny thong off her body.

“You’re easy to distract sometimes, aren’t you, baby?” he teased. “
You
were talking about this mystery woman Ian is supposedly dating and how you’re oh so sure it’s Tessa.”

“Oh, that.” She nodded confidently even as his hand caressed her ass. “All the signs are there, I swear. The next time we have a meeting at his office I’ll kick you under the table when I notice he’s watching her.”

Nathan winced at the thought. “Just don’t wear those pointy-toed things you had on earlier if you do that. Those suckers leave bruises.”

Julia snickered and then swiftly pushed him onto his back, straddling his hips. “Maybe by then I’ll be wearing my brand new Manolos. You know, the ones you’re going to buy me when I win our bet.”

“Shit. I did make that bet with you, didn’t I?” he recalled in exasperation. “Remind me again – or maybe not – how much those damned shoes cost.”

She began to kiss her way across his throat and down to his pecs, very intentionally rubbing her breasts against him as she did so. “Approximately eight fifty. If you’re lucky, Neiman Marcus might be having a sale right around then.”

Nathan’s breath began to hitch a little less steadily as her eager mouth continued its downward path. “Uh, you’re very, um, confident you’re going to win this, aren’t you?”

Julia’s eyes twinkled merrily as her hand began to stroke his rapidly hardening cock persuasively. “Honey, as far as I’m concerned the deal is sealed.”

He grit his teeth as she continued with her really amazing hand job. “Speaking of sealing things,” he croaked. “Why don’t you seal that dirty little mouth of yours around my dick?”

She gasped in mock outrage. “Ooh, that’s rather rude! Especially since I’m in the presence of the King of Dirty Mouths. Besides, I had something a little, um, different to try this time. Someone left the latest issue of
Cosmo
in the airplane seat pocket and the, ah, sexual position of the month was very intriguing.”

Nathan closed his eyes and cursed beneath his breath as she kept stroking his cock. “Did it involve my hand swatting your ass? Or me tying you to the bedpost? Because I’m going to do one or the other – maybe both – if my cock isn’t inside some part of your body within the next ninety seconds.”

“Tsk, tsk. You do have this sudden obsession with that particular time frame tonight,” she scolded teasingly. “Why don’t I just show you what I mean then?”

Julia swiftly turned in the opposite direction, facing away from him but still straddling his thighs. Then, with slow, tantalizing deliberation, she inserted the tip of his throbbing dick inside her pussy, where she was still slick and creamy from his earlier orgasm.

His hands clamped down on her hips as she began to ride him slowly up and down, lifting herself up until he was very nearly unsheathed and then lowering herself back onto his rigid cock with maddening slowness. With each provocative movement, his groans grew progressively louder.

And then, when he was already almost beside himself with pleasure, Julia began to bend her body backwards, still kneeling, and lowered herself until her back was pressed flat against his heaving chest.

“Jesus,” he murmured in awe. “How in hell can you do that? Never mind, this feels so fucking amazing that I’m not going to be stupid enough to question it.”

“God,” she gasped, struggling for breath with her body contorted into a position where he was about as deep inside of her as humanly possible. “Needless to say you’re going to have to take over from here. I’m not exactly in a position where I can move freely.”

Nathan gripped her chin and turned her head to meet his open-mouthed, demanding kiss. “I thought you’d never ask,” he growled and then began to thrust up hard.

By his rather hazy calculations, it took less than ninety seconds to get his very inventive fiancée off.

“And what size would you like to see this particular shoe in, madam?”

Julia smiled winningly at the saleswoman. “A six, please. Thank you so much.”

Nathan scowled as they took seats in the shoe department, waiting for the saleswoman to return with Julia’s much-coveted Manolo Blahniks.

“Okay. It’s official. No more bets with you. Of
any
sort. Whether I’m drunk or stone cold sober, horny as hell or just had the fuck screwed out of me. I fully admit I’m a lousy gambler, but you –” he pointed a finger at Julia accusingly, “take merciless advantage of my every weakness.”

She grinned and blew him a flirty little kiss. “Gosh, you’re so cute when you’re mad. But I bet I can get you in a good mood real quick.”

Nathan shook his head. “No more bets, remember?”

Julia rolled her eyes. “Not a literal bet, silly. That was just a figure of speech. Ooh, here’s my shoes.”

She almost crooned as the saleswoman carefully lifted the black T-strap stilettos out of their box, almost purred with pleasure as the shoe was buckled across her instep. When both shoes were in place, Julia stood and walked back and forth a short distance in them. She halted just in front of Nathan and did a slow 360° turn, glancing back at him with a cheeky smile.

“So what do you think?”

His gaze was fixated not on the ridiculously expensive pair of designer footwear but on the sexy back seam of her sheer stockings. His eyes traveled slowly upwards, lingering on the saucy curve of her butt so provocatively displayed by the snug fit of her dress.

“Um, what was the question again?” he asked in a very distracted tone.

Julia gave an impatient little huff. “The shoes, Nathan. What do you think of the shoes? Focus, please.”

The saleswoman had left, giving them some privacy, so Nathan didn’t hesitate to quip, “Oh, I’m focusing all right, baby. But not on the shoes. My focus is, um, a little higher up.”

She shook her head in exasperation and turned to face him. “Honestly, Nathan. You’ve got such a one-track mind at times.”

“Jesus, do you blame me?” he asked incredulously. “I mean, come on, Julia. Your entire wardrobe screams “Do Me, Big Guy.” I’m just answering the call, baby.”

She patted him on the cheek. “Well, you can answer the call later on this evening, hmm? And better make it count since we’ll have to be a little, er, discreet the next few nights.”

Tomorrow afternoon – Friday – they were driving down to Carmel to spend the three-day President’s Day weekend with Julia’s parents. On Saturday, thanks to the influence of their client and friend Ian Gregson, they had an appointment to meet with the wedding planner at the ultra-luxe Gregson Resort in Pebble Beach to discuss their impending nuptials.

Nathan scowled a bit at this reminder, for he was always extremely aware that Julia’s parents slept in the bedroom right next to her old room. “Is your nosy sister driving up for the weekend? I swear I’ve heard her right outside our bedroom door before, eavesdropping. This is why she seriously needs to get way more action than she currently does.”

Julia sat down and began to carefully unbuckle her new shoes. “She does
not
eavesdrop, okay? Lauren is a lot of things, but trust me, a voyeur isn’t one of them. And she definitely gets plenty of action, too. That day we all flew out of New York she kept talking about some hot date she had the next evening. Of course,” she mused as she put her own shoes back on, “she might have just said that to piss off Ben. I’ve still got this really strong hunch that there’s something going on there.”

Nathan gave her a mock glare as they walked towards the cashier. “Well, I’ve learned my lesson – a very expensive one, I might add – and wouldn’t dream of betting against you on that thought. It seems you’ve got pretty good instincts, baby. After all, you were definitely right about Ian and Tessa. Damn, I’ve known him for more than four years now and I have
never
seen him pissed off like he was today. Though of course,” he added sternly, “he was very deliberately provoked.”

Julia laughed in delight as the cashier rang up the purchase. “I thought he was going to choke – or choke
me
– when I made that little crack about fixing Tessa up with one of your friends. That’s when I knew for sure they were together.”

He couldn’t help grinning at her, even as he took the paper shopping bag containing her new shoes from the cashier. “I suppose I knew for sure when he warned me to keep you under wraps. And of course when he basically ordered me to get Jake away from his – uh –
employee
was what he referred to Tessa as. Though he wasn’t fooling me any longer at that point because I knew he really meant his woman.”

She linked her arm with his, resting her head on his shoulder. “Tessa is going to have her hands full with that man. In more ways than one. I hope she’s the type that likes being taken over, because Ian is definitely not the passive sort, is he?”

“Christ, you can say that again,” marveled Nathan. “But I’m guessing he’ll have his own hands full in a whole different way – keeping up with a girl that much younger than he is. Though if anyone is up for the challenge its Ian. He’s in fucking fantastic shape.”

Julia reached up on tiptoe and kissed his cheek. “He can’t possibly be in better shape than you are, honey. And I refuse to even consider that he’s got more stamina than you do. In the – well, you know,” her voice trailed off as she belatedly realized they were in the midst of a throng of after-work shoppers.

Nathan grinned and hugged her closer, an arm around her shoulders. “Yeah, I know. Let’s get dinner to go and we can eat it in the – you know – after we do some other stuff there first.”

She snuggled in closer as they reached the escalators. “How’s your stamina tonight?”

He dropped a kiss on top of her head. “Off the charts, baby. So on second thought, maybe we’d better eat first, because you’ll be burning off a whole lot of calories.”
