Chapter 10

Leaning against the wall of the locker room, I waited not so patiently for Ethan to come out. He played great and pulled in the win for the Bulldogs. As always.

I didn’t mean to sound cocky but my boyfriend kicked ass on the football field.

Hearing voices, I pushed myself off the way and fixed my shorts and Bulldogs shirt, the one Ethan gave me. I was disappointed when I saw Jared Houser and Mike Benson exiting and not Ethan.

“Hey, Grace. You waiting on your boy?” Jared said, smiling.

Jared was a total sweetheart and one of Ethan’s friends, so I felt comfortable talking to him. To be completely honest half of the guys on the team were total douchebags.

“Yep, do you have any idea what he’s doing?” I asked annoyed.

“He’s in the shower. There’s no one in there if you wanna go in,” he said, pointing to the entrance of the locker room.

“Yeah, thanks,” I told him, waving and walking inside.

The locker room smelled like men’s body spray and soap. I had to admit it was a lot more pleasant than what I had imagine.

Hearing the stream of water pound against the floor, I stopped in front of the shower stall he was in and pulled it back. I watched as he rubbed the soap on his chest and water rinsed it away.

“Like what you see?” he inquired, making me realize that I was staring.

“Y-yes,” I stuttered, not bothering to move my eyes away from him.

“Want to join me?”

Without even thinking, I got rid of all my clothes and walked into his waiting arms. As the hot water trickled down my skin, so did Ethan’s lips.

“Can we get in trouble for this?” I moaned.

“I really don’t care,” he said, his fingers gripping my ass.

“Yeah, me either. I was just asking,” I said, trying to sound cool and collected.

I was anything but. I mean how could I have been?

“I don’t have any condoms with me, so I’ll just use my fingers,” he said, slipping one finger inside of me.

Biting my lip, I gripped the walls of the shower. I was pushing on them so hard I was shocked they didn’t crumble to the ground.

“Does that feel good?”

Nodding, I felt my knees buckle as his finger pumped in in out of me. The pleasure made my body feel like it was going to break in two and I liked it. I had been craving the feeling since the night we had sex.

“Is anyone in here?” a man’s voice echoed through the locker room.

“Yeah, coach. It’s Ethan.” Ethan answered, continuing to swirl his finger around inside of me.

Biting my lip, I tried my hardest not to make any sounds to give us away.

“What are you doing boy?” I heard Coach Taylor ask.

“Showering, coach. I’m almost done.”

Yes, he was.

“I wanted to give you props on that play tonight. You saved the game.”

“Thank you, Coach,” he said, slipping another finger in me adding to the pleasure.

“And Ethan?”

“Yeah, Coach?”

“That girl of yours she’s a keeper.”

“Oh, I know.”

Smiling at him, I placed a kiss on his neck.

“See you at practice tomorrow,” Coach Taylor said his voice getting farther away.

“See you there,” Ethan said, pumping his fingers into me one last time.

Feeling my body quiver, I let out a scream. It felt so good I didn’t care if Coach Taylor heard it. Hell, I didn’t care if the whole school heard it.

“Let’s get cleaned up and get out of here,” Ethan said, placing a sweet kiss on my lips.

“Where are we going?” I asked, letting the water rinse me off.

“On a date,” he answered, getting out and grabbing us two towels.

Walking toward me, he wrapped the towel around my bare shoulders.

“Like our first real date? Seriously?” I asked, drying off and quickly getting dressed.

“I think it’s long overdue don’t you?”

“Way overdue, Baby.”

I had dreamed of my first date with Ethan for as long as I could remember and it was finally happening. I just hoped the expectations didn’t ruin it for me. And I couldn’t help but wonder if everything was too good to be true.

I sure hoped it wasn’t because I was happy being happy. And I wanted it to stay that way.

Walking out of the locker room hand in hand, Ethan pulled me toward the football field and not the parking lot.

“Baby, your car is that way. Did you take a football to the head?” I joked, pointing to the left of us.

“Babe, for once let’s do things my way,” he said, squeezing my hand, “And that entails me being the boss and not you. Just for tonight.”

Nodding, I let him lead me to the dark field. I had no clue what was going on but I loved surprises, so I was over the moon. I had been since we made it official.

Standing in the middle of the field, I saw all of the lights turn on and a small table sitting waiting on us complete with dinner.

“Baby, is this for us?”

“Yeah, do you like it? Is it too much?”

“I love it. How did you get it done so quickly?”

“Holland, Maddie, and Emma helped me plan it. Roman and West set everything up. That’s why I was taking so long in the shower,” he told me, pulling out my chair for me to sit down.

“I can’t believe West kept his mouth shut, I guess miracles happen every day.”

Laughing, he sat down on the chair across from me.

“I know we haven’t went on an actual date, so I wanted to do something special for you. For us,” he said, looking at me with a huge smile.

“I wish I would have gotten dressed up more,” I said, glancing down at my casual t shirt and cutoffs.

“This is I prefer you, Babe. Not all made up.”

That was the most perfect thing he could have said to me in that moment because the girl sitting in front of him was who I was. I wasn’t wild, outgoing Grace. I loved make up but I didn’t want to wear it every day and some days all I wanted to wear was yoga pants and an oversized shirt.

I was the love-struck girl that would do anything for him. Always had been.

“You’re making me blush,” I said playfully turning away.

“If what just happened in there didn’t make you blush than a few words couldn’t,” he said, nodding his head toward the locker room.

He had a point, what had just happened was definitely blush worthy. But vixens didn’t blush when they did naughty things and that’s just what Ethan turned me into, a vixen.

And I liked it. I liked it a lot.

Chapter 11

Sunlight crept through the blinds and lit up my room waking me up in the process. Looking over, I saw Ethan sleeping. He looked so cute with his messy hair and mouth slightly open but I couldn’t help but blush when I thought of how sexy he was the previous night.

Ethan done things to my body that should have been illegal in every state and I loved every minute of it. Getting out of bed very carefully, I tried not to wake him up. Grabbing my clothes off the floor, I slipped them on and then tiptoed toward the door.

“I’m starting to think you only want me for my body,” Ethan’s sleepy voice said from behind me.

“I was going to get some coffee and I think Holland is making breakfast. You wanna join me?”

“Yeah, babe. Let me grab my clothes and I’ll be right out,” he said, throwing the blanket back and revealing his morning wood.

“You do that because I think Holland would have a heart attack,” I told him, slipping out of the door before anything happened.

Smelling the greasy bacon, I stopped to inhale it. Holland always made bacon and omelets and it was my job to make French toast and pancakes. She hated them.

But this morning I didn’t have the strength to make them because my body had been through a hell of a work out the night before. So, it looked like I was eating omelets.

“Good Morning, Holl,” I greeted her, walking into the kitchen.

“Morning,” she sung, putting the three omelets on plates.

“You’re happy this morning,” I said, narrowing my eyes at her.

“I woke up in a good mood, kill me,” she said, laughing.

Hearing a door shut, I turned around and saw Ethan making his way to me.

“My two favorite Emerson’s,” said, wrapping his arm around my waist and kissing me sweetly.

“You guys hungry?” Holland asked, sitting the food on the table.

“Starving,” Ethan said, sitting down at one of the chairs and gesturing for me to take the one next to him, “We worked up an appetite last night.”

“Too much information,” Holland said, making an over exaggerated disgusted look.

But I saw the smile begging to come out.

Sitting down, I cut into my omelet and took a huge bite. Holland’s phone started ringing and when she looked down at it I saw the happy expression she had been wearing completely disappear.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her, sitting my fork down.

“It’s Trent, he won’t quit calling me and leaving voicemails,” she said, stabbing her food with her fork.

“Do you want me to talk to him?” Ethan asked, looking concerned.

“No, it’s best to not provoke him,” she told him, looking fearful and panicked.

“What do you mean provoke him? Is he the tool who put his hands on you?” he asked, getting angry.

She didn’t answer, she only nodded. It was as if she was embarrassed about the fact that he hit her.

“Why are you embarrassed? He should be embarrassed,” Ethan told her, getting up and draping his arm around her shoulders.

He was right and he kept proving to me that he the guy for me, over and over again. He didn’t have to care about her because she was my cousin but he did. In that moment I realized that I was falling in love with Ethan Charles and I hoped he was feeling the same way.

“Thank you,” Holland whispered still not lifting her head.

“You’re welcome,” he said, smiling, “I’ve got to get going, I have football practice.”

“Already?” I whined, getting up from my seat and walking until I was in his arms.

“Yeah, Babe, already,” he said, pressing his nose to mine, “But I’ll be by at seven to pick you up for the party and you too, Holland, if you want to go.”

“Yeah, that would be great,” she said, getting up and walking to the sink to clean her plate.

I knew she was giving us some privacy. Best roommate ever.

“I’ll miss you,” he said, burying his face in the crook of my neck.

“I’ll miss you more, babe. See you tonight,” he said, kissing my lips.

Watching him walk out the door, I placed my fingers on my lips because even though he was gone I could still feel them tingling with desire. I missed him already and he hadn’t been gone a few seconds.

“You’ve got it bad,” Holland said, blocking my view of the door.

“I know,” I replied smiling like an idiot.

“I’m going to get in the shower and get dressed. Quit staring at the door, he’s gone,” she said, looking at me as if I had really lost it.

I will admit I was going crazy and Ethan was to blame because I was crazy over him.

After I cleaned the apartment and got ready for the party I sat on the couch and waited on Ethan to come pick me up. It was half past seven and he was a no show. I was starting to get extremely worried.

Looking at the phone in my hand, I dialed Ethan’s number and placed it to my ear. The endless ringing seemed to taunt me. Why wasn’t he answering his phone?

“Hey, baby, it’s me. I’m starting to get worried. Call me,” I said, leaving a voicemail.

“He still hasn’t showed?” Holland inquired, sitting beside me on the couch.

“Nope, I’m going to call Roman and see if he knows what’s going on,” I told her, dialing Roman’s number.

“Hello?” Roman said into the phone after picking up on the third ring.

“Roman, its Grace.”

“I know, Grace. I have you stored in my phone,” he said, chuckling, “What’s up?”

“Have you seen Ethan or happened to talk to him?” I asked, trying to keep my voice from sounding desperate.

I was failing.

“Not since lunchtime. Why is something wrong? You sound kind of strange.”

I had to smooth that over. I didn’t need Roman worrying and tearing up the town. He was not the best choice to have with you in worrisome situations. Plus I didn’t want him telling his mother that I couldn’t get Ethan on the phone.

“No, not at all. I’m just being one of those crazy girlfriends,” I said, laughing nervously and hoping he didn’t notice anything,

“If I see him I’ll let him know to give you a call.”

“Okay, thanks,” I said, ending the call.

That wasn’t like Ethan, not to show up without even calling to explain. I had the feeling that he was okay but for some reason I couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that something was up.

I had the breakup feeling. It was like a cloud over my head.

And it felt the weatherman had called for a 100% chance of downpours and I didn’t see an umbrella in sight.
