BEING THE FATHER OF
a coming-of-age daughter is a daunting role that requires infinite love, understanding, and the acceptance that “daddy’s little girl” is becoming a woman. To my husband, Brad, for embarking on (if not embracing) this emotional roller coaster and, as a result, for inspiring all Eric Bromleigh’s inner conflict as Noelle comes into her own.
Being the teenage daughter of a devoted, protective father is equally difficult. To my daughter, Wendi, for having the wisdom and the love to make her dad’s (and my) growing up that much easier—
and
for inspiring a wealth of characterization in the process.
Being the parents of an obsessive writer is also not easy. Thanks to Mom and Dad for always incorporating my life into theirs. And thanks, Mom, for coming up with the perfect title for Noelle’s book.
