Chelsea’s eyes filled with tears that had nothing to do with the cold Afghan weather. “You’re sure? You’re really sure that he wants you here?

Gerald laughed. “Not only does he want me here he made me promise that this is the only place that I would apply to. He told me that he would find me and kick my bad leg if I did him wrong.”

Chelsea laughed more joyfully than Chaplain Dalrymple’s joke deserved. But she was laughing in response to her inner joy. Her joy was only made complete by Gerald’s next words.

“I love you Chelsea Bannister. I love you and I always will.”

ANGEL OF THE NIGHT

Book Two of the “Angels in the Sand” Series

The bloodshed and tragedy of a nation bloodied by a war that never seems to end is the backdrop for Jackie McCallister’s latest inspirational romance novel.  Ms. McCallister introduced us to Wendy Shafer in “Angel of Mercy.”  Follow Wendy as she battles to save lives and control her own personal demons in Book Two of the “Angels in the Sand” series, titled, “Angel of the Night.”

Wendy has all that she can do to keep up with the grueling demands of her job as a nurse in war-torn Afghanistan.  Making life that much more difficult for Wendy and the heroic medical team at Kabul Air Base is an unexplained shooting on the base.  What happened to the brigadier general?  And why?  Who is responsible? And perhaps more importantly, is anyone else in danger?

You’ll thrill to the mystery and be uplifted by the inspiration as Wendy tries, with God’s help, to overcome personal struggles and be the healing agent that she feels called to be.

“It’s not a novel if the heart isn’t in play” is Ms. McCallister’s motto, and you’ll love reading about Wendy’s heart as it opens to the idea of love and romance.

You’ll find all of this and more in…”Angel of the Night.”
