Annie’s the name,

Solving’ mysteries is the game.

I’m sly and fast and my feet are quick,

There isn’t a safe that I can’t pick.

I’ll defeat monsters and lock them away,

There are so many mysteries to solve, every single day.

It is zero seven hundred hours, and the mission starts right now.

I’ve got to get past the monster on the couch somehow.

My sweet doll went missing days ago, and I must find her soon,

If I cannot locate her, then my mission will be doomed.

The monster
is large and snoring loudly with a pillow under his head,

If I did not know better, I’d think that he was dead!

I rolled behind the couch and peeked my head behind,

Then the monster started moving and I was not sure what I’d find.

He raised his arms above his head and stretched them to the sky,

He groaned and moaned and smacked his lips as I went running by.

I ducked under the table and stared up at the beast,

This monster was a scary one with scary monster feet.

He stomped across the room and opened the refrigerator door,

The monster drank a sip of milk, and then he drank some more.

I did not see my doll by the couch, or lying on the floor.

So I must sneak into the wizard’s den and then I’ll look some more.

The wizard’s den was dark and deep, upon the door two signs were there.

The first one said “NO GIRLS ALLOWED” the second said “BEWARE.”

My dearest doll would be terrified if in this den she was,

I did not want to enter in, but knew I must because

My doll must be saved no matter the cost, however creepy this could be,

If she was in there scared to death, she’d surely be looking for me.

The door creaked open and I entered in, crawling on my knees.

This wizard’s den was so dusty, my nose began to sneeze.

I crouched down low, to not be seen, and sniffed my itchy nose,

When I saw the wizard reading a book of spells,
I began to walk on my toes.
