Your bed is too small,”
he complained.

Amusement twinkled in her eyes.
“I’m sorry.”

It doesn’t matter. I
plan to spend most of my time in it on top of you or with you on top
of me. If that doesn’t work, then I will take you from behind
while we lie on our sides. I’m willing to explore all options.”

Don’t let me stop
you.” The breathless quality to her voice led his attention to
her lips. When had he kissed them last?

Renzo slanted his mouth over
hers, enjoying the feel of her wriggling in pleasure under him. Her
scent had intoxicated him from day one, but the taste of her lips
went beyond all else. He threaded his tongue into her mouth and swept
the warm, moist inside. She moaned, and the vibrations enticed every
nerve ending awake. Egged on, he laid a hand at her waist and hauled
her up to him. He arched against her pussy and kneed her legs farther
apart. A thumb flicked between them brought the evidence he’d
hoped for. She was wet, dripping wet, and ready for his entrance.

Still, Renzo held off taking her.
He broke their kiss and peered into her eyes. The feverish glow told
him she couldn’t take a delay much longer, but he wanted to
tease her body until she lay near bursting. He craved to hear her
screaming his name, her senses twined so tight, she shook from head
to toe. He had found many hours of pleasure in Venice and California,
bringing her to the edge like this, and tonight would be no
different.

Renzo leaned back farther and ran
a hand over her belly. He stopped just above her soft mound and eyed
her swollen clit. The tiny bud seemed to strain toward him. He ran
the tip of his finger across it, and Jada gasped, raising her hips
toward him.

Did you miss me,
cara
?”
he demanded while watching her face.

Y-yes.” She licked
her lips. His cock twitched. “Yes, you know I did.”

He strummed a thumb across her
clit again and then pressed down on it. “You need to come.”

Damn you, Renzo, if you
stop playing with me, maybe I will.”

A chuckle rumbled in his chest.
He couldn’t help himself for how much he loved her bite.
Bite.
That’s a good idea.
He scooted down the bed, and for a moment was distracted by the
pretty roundness of her belly. The next instant, he moved on and took
her clit between his teeth. Jada squeaked, alarmed, but he had no
intention of hurting her. After teasing her a little more, putting a
small bit of pressure on her clit, he pulled the bud between his lips
and sucked hard. She screamed, and a shudder passed through her body.
When she tried closing her legs, Renzo halted the movement with his
hands, holding her thighs apart. He alternated between licking and
sucking her clit. She writhed and cried out, her nails clawing at his
arms. When she screamed again, he dove lower to catch the thick,
white cream running from her channel. He ate to his heart’s
content, scooping up every drop on the curve of his tongue. When he
finished, he sat up and braced himself between her thighs.

I went faster than I
wanted to,” he admitted. “You’re so beautiful,
Jada, and your pussy is delicious. I did say I would eat you, didn’t
I?”

Through slitted eyes, she watched
him, but he didn’t think she had the energy to answer. Renzo
shifted his hips forward. His erection extended across her mound, and
he pushed back and forth over her clit. Just as he knew would happen,
her muscles began to wind up again. He could scarcely stand not to
invade her heat, but he held on with rigid control. Letting the head
push against her entrance but not go in, he flicked a gaze over her
sexy form. His balls were at the point of aching.

Let me suck you, baby,”
she offered.

He shook his head. “It’s
too late for that. I want you to play with your nipples for me. Yes,
like that. Rub them in a circle. Squeeze your breasts.” He
clenched his jaw to cut off the swear word that rose to his lips and
plunged his dick deep into her pussy. Hands at her hips, he raised
her up to meet his thrusts, and he pumped faster. Hot and wet, her
walls closed in on his shaft, making him never wish to be free again.

Cara mia
,
you’re so tight!”

Renzo, please don’t
stop.”

I have no intention of
it.” Renzo pulled out until only the tip of his shaft remained
inside. He locked gazes with her and raised her hips even higher.
Pumping deep in and out, he took what was his, ravishing her amazing
body. He watched her full breasts bounce, and when she held onto them
and squeezed gently, she sent him over the edge. His control
shattered, and he grunted his pleasure as he came. Holding himself
buried to the hilt in her pussy, he enjoyed the feeling of emptying
his seed inside her.

This was what he’d done to
get her pregnant. That last time he’d been careless, but now it
was deliberate. He reclaimed Jada, let her know who she belonged to,
and whenever she needed reminding—and even if she didn’t—he
would do it again.

He pulled out and dropped down to
the bed at her side. When he drew her into his arms, she came without
complaint and settled her head on his chest. He ran his fingers
through her hair and listened to her heavy breathing. Worry made him
furrow his brow, and all the bravado he’d displayed a moment
before disappeared. “I wasn’t too rough, was I? You’re
okay? The baby?”

She chuckled and then sighed in
contentment. “Yes, we’re fine, but I’m thinking I
could come two or three more times.”

He tapped her ass with the flat
of his palm. “Rest now. I’ll consider more sex later.”

Not surprising him at all, she
raised her head and glared before rolling away with her back to him.
He examined that curvy ass and those widening hips, and his cock
began to stir anew. Now a sigh escaped him. The next few months would
be hell and more.

Chapter
Nine

Five months later…

Jada took a tentative bit of food
onto her fork and raised it to her mouth. As she did so, Renzo
frowned at her. She did her best to hide the smile. “What? You
never know. You’re still new at this.”

He folded his arms over his
chest, and she admired the expansion of muscle. “I’ve
been doing a good job of it for months now, and you haven’t
fallen over yet.”

Please, it’s not
like you cook every day. While you have been flying over here often,
you hardly ever cook. Once or twice a month, I’ll give you.
Still, you’ve been doing a great job, baby. Thanks.”

That brought her to the decision
she’d made days ago, but she had waited until he returned to
Charlotte to bring it up with him. Jada had to give Renzo credit.
He’d been patient with her—patient with
her,
not himself, as far as learning how to do things the way common folk
did it. She had some good laughs, though, taking him into Walmart,
shopping for groceries, cooking, and cleaning. Only seeing all the
various tasks through his eyes did she realize how much she took for
granted—in a sort of reverse way than he did having servants to
do his bidding. She didn’t resent Renzo for his money, though.
He was a good man, a humble and hard-working one. She’d learned
that most of all, which was why she’d come to her decision.

I was thinking,” she
began and laid down her fork.

Yes?” The way his
lips compressed she knew he thought she would criticize his cooking
again.

I’d like to be your
wife. I mean if the offer is still on the table.” Embarrassment
brought heat to her face, and her scalp tingled.

Renzo’s expression
softened, and he approached her. Her tiny kitchen always seemed
smaller with him in it, but it felt less lonely too. “The offer
never left the table. Are you sure?”

Yes, I am. In fact, I
already gave my notice at work, and I’m going to have my friend
wrap up things here. I shouldn’t have waited so long.”
She ran a hand over her broad belly. Not once in the past few months
had she believed Renzo wasn’t attracted to her. Even at eight
months, she saw the glow of desire in his eyes. “I guess we can
find an airline that will let me fly if my doctor says it’s
fine.”

Amusement brightened Renzo’s
gaze.

What?”

I don’t know how to
tell you this.”

She frowned. “Just come out
and say it, Renzo. If we’re going to be married, we should be
able to tell each other anything.”

He ran a hand over his dark hair,
giving her a desire to do the same to feel the silky smoothness
beneath her fingertips. Damn it, she loved this man too much. If he
only knew how much he meant to her.

I own a jet.”

Jada blinked at him.

It’s nothing
special, small, not the latest model.” He cleared his throat.

You don’t fly it, do
you?”

I have a full-time pilot.”

Should have known!”
She scraped back her chair. “How am I going to handle this? I
don’t know. I can’t—”

Renzo swept her into his arms and
held her as close as he could without hurting her stomach. He seized
her chin and made her focus on him. His dark gaze mesmerized, and she
lost herself in its depths. “There’s only you and me,
cara mia
,
a man and a woman who love each other more than life itself.”

She gasped when he reached inside
his pants pocket and pulled out the tiny box. “You carry that
around?”

Always, in hope.”

Tears filled Jada’s eyes
and spilled down her cheeks. She allowed him to slide the diamond
ring up her finger and wasn’t surprised when it fit to
perfection.

I love you,” he told
her in earnest. “With all of my being. If having you at my side
meant giving up everything, I would have in a heartbeat.”

She knew they weren’t just
words. Renzo living simply with her over the last few months was a
testament to how he felt. In some ways his devotion scared her, but
she would never let him get away because of that. He had moved past
his comfort zone to win her, and she would do the same to stay with
him.

I’m ready,”
she murmured, and Renzo kissed her until she let all else go but him.

* * * *

Jada sat on the side of the bed
she shared with Renzo. Footsteps sounded outside the bedroom door,
and she knew Marie would be in soon with a pre-breakfast treat. While
she no longer suffered morning sickness, Renzo hadn’t allowed
her spoiling to go by the wayside. She didn’t mind it so much
as all the rest of the crazy in this household. Zita still wanted to
use her to get Renzo to lighten up. Ettore still kept his distance
but smiled as if they were old friends. Renzo’s mother spoke to
her in nothing but Italian, and Uncle Gianni…well she expected
a check any day now to bribe her to get lost. Then again, he did seem
to fear Renzo’s anger even if he was the elder.

She smiled, thinking of her
soon-to-be husband, but then winced as the pain that had awakened her
earlier than usual rolled across her belly. Unless she missed her
guess, she was going into labor. Fear tightened the muscles in her
throat, and she swallowed compulsively.

Good morning, Miss Jada.
Did you sleep well?” Marie asked.

Fine, thanks.” Since
the contractions were so far apart, she decided not to mention them
just yet. “Renzo left already?”

He has, ma’am. He
told me to tell you he will be back at lunchtime to eat with you.”

Warmth spread over Jada’s
being. He’d kept his word on that subject as well, making sure
not to work so much that he didn’t have time for her. She
ignored the plate Marie left and drank the fruit juice. After
showering and dressing, she checked that the bag for the hospital was
ready and walked downstairs. Meeting Mrs. Mariani, she greeted the
older woman.

Buon giorno,
Mamma
.”

The woman narrowed intelligent
eyes on Jada and looked her up and down. Jada felt her back getting
up at the scrutiny. If she was going to act like that, they were
going to have a problem. To her surprise, the old woman smiled and
laid a hand on Jada’s belly. “
Bambino.

She uttered some other words Jada
couldn’t interpret and then called for Marie. The maid appeared
in seconds as if she’d been lurking just around the corner.
After Renzo’s mother spoke to her in rapid Italian, Marie’s
eyes widened in alarm. Annoyed that she didn’t get what they
were saying but knowing it was about her, Jada put a protective hand
over her belly and opened her mouth to give them both a piece of her
mind. Later, she and Renzo would need to have a conversation about
his family.

Before she could say two words,
Marie cut her off. “Ms. Jada, I’ll call Mr. Renzo right
away.”

Jada stared at her. “Why?”

The maid’s expression told
her she thought Jada had already taken leave of her senses. “Because,
Mrs. Mariani says you’re having the baby today!”
