“Mikhail…” Sasha punched him in the arm. “I’ll go run her a bath, and you get her ready, and remember that she is injured, will ya?” He laughed and headed off to the bathroom.

“Oh, little one”—he smiled up at her—“if you weren’t so bruised and sore, I would have already been inside you and you would be riding me until you screamed.”

Sasha leaned against the doorframe, watching the interaction between his brother and their woman. It not only warmed his heart but made his cock as hard as a rock. He could feel the love that Mikhail was feeling, but he could also sense the hesitation. He knew what Mikhail’s concerns were. He was worried that she wouldn’t be able to go back to being their submissive because of the attack.

His brother turned his head the minute he felt his anger hit him. Shit, they were going to have to do something about Eric. They had found out that Eric was released on bond because he had no “serious” criminal history. He’d been detained a few times, according to Mikhail’s source, but had always managed to get out of whatever jam he had gotten himself into. Usually, it seemed, that was by having his wife vouch for his whereabouts at any given time. Sienna had been so scared of Eric by that point that she would have probably said whatever he wanted her to. Otherwise, she’d risk a beating.

Looking up at the small woman sitting on top of him, Mikhail made a vow to both himself and his brother that she would never again be hurt by anyone. Failing in this, the person or persons who caused her pain would never see another sunrise.

Mikhail gently sat up and wrapped his arms around Sienna and just held her, breathing in her scent, trying to calm to rage that both of the men felt.

“Mikhail, what is it?” she asked, pushing his hair back from his face and leaning back to look into his eyes.

Kissing her tenderly, he slowly rose from the bed, carrying her gently to the warm bath that awaited her.

“Mikhail? Sasha?” She looked at them questioningly. “Something’s not right. You’re not telling me something, and it’s starting to scare me.”

Mikhail quickly left the room, leaving Sasha the task to calm Sienna. He’d apologize later to them both, but his rage was about to overwhelm him so right now the heavy bag in the corner of his office upstairs was calling. He could go there, pretend that it was that bastard ex-husband of hers, and beat the shit out of it. He didn’t want to scare her by letting her see just how angry he was. He’d always prided himself on being able to control his temper, but in this particular situation, he was having a lot of difficulties. He knew that his brother could sense his rage and felt bad leaving them like he did. But it was better this way. He knew Sasha was feeling the same emotions, he just hoped he’d be able to keep it together long enough to care for Sienna.

“Baby…Mikhail and I are just having a hard time seeing you so hurt. You know that we feel the same emotions. Well, sometimes when the emotion is strong enough in us individually, it can overwhelm one or both of us. That’s why Mikhail left the room.”

Kneeling down beside the tub, he picked up the bath sponge they had bought for her, poured her favorite body soap on it, and started washing her.

“He looked so angry, Sasha, like he was ready to hurt someone,” she quietly said.

Lifting her arm out of the water, he continued to bathe her, smoothing the sponge down her arm and back up again, trying to focus on anything other than the fact that she was naked and gorgeous.

“We found out that Eric was granted bail yesterday, sweetheart.” He watched closely to see her reaction but was surprised not to see fear in her eyes but anger.

“Of course he was,” she snapped. “The bastard’s family probably bribed a judge to give it to him. Actually, I’m surprised that the Crown Counsel is even going forward with the charges. The last time all I got was a ‘well, dear, he’s apologized profusely and promises to attend anger management classes.’” Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

Stunned, Sasha leaned back and just stared at her. “What do you mean the last time?”

Sighing, she realized that she had just said something that neither of the men knew of.

“About three months before I started to work for you guys, Eric had decided that he wasn’t going to go along with the divorce decree and showed up at my apartment drunk.

“He pushed his way in and immediately started hitting me. Luckily, my neighbor called 911 right away, and I was able to lock myself in the bedroom until they got there.

“When the cops came in, they arrested him and told me that I needed to go to the hospital and have myself checked out.

“While at the hospital, they took pictures of my bruises and swabs from under my fingernails. In the initial struggle, I had scratched him across his face.

“After not hearing from the police or the Crown Counsel for two weeks, I called his office only to get the spiel about how sorry Eric was and that the evidence wasn’t sufficient to file charges.”

After telling Sasha everything, she could see from the look on his face he was going to need to leave the room now. Slowly, he got up. “Mikhail will be down in a minute, sweet pea. You stay there until he gets here. Don’t try and get out on your own,” he said through clenched teeth and left, careful not to slam the door behind him.

Entering Mikhail’s office, he could see that his brother had been working out pretty hard. Sweat dripped down his chest, and he was chugging down a bottle of water when Sasha slammed open the door and just stood there.

“Jesus, Sasha, I’m trying to calm down, but you’re not helping. I thought I had it under control, but it spiked again. What the hell happened?”

“Not now, Mikhail, please. Just go down and help Sienna out of her bath and into bed. I need to work some of this off now. We’ll discuss it when I come down.”

“That bad, Sasha…?” Mikhail questioned.

“You have no idea, bro. But I can’t get it out right now. Just go to Sienna. One of us needs to be with her.”

“Okay, buddy...it’s your turn to beat the shit out of the bag.” After quickly jumping in the shower, Mikhail headed down to the bathroom that Sienna was in, feeling a little calmer by the time he got there.

Sasha must have been really pounding on the bag for him to be so much calmer this quickly.

Chapter 5

Opening the door, Mikhail stopped and stared at the woman asleep in the tub. Poor baby, she was exhausted. Bending down, he lifted her from the bath, not caring that he was getting wet. The feel of her naked body against him was worth anything.

Sienna snuggled against his chest like a little kitten. He grabbed a towel from the counter and headed into the bedroom.

“Little one, I need you to stand up just for a minute so I can dry you. I promise as soon as you’re dry I’ll tuck you in and you can sleep for as long as you want.”

He set her feet down beside the bed and proceeded to carefully dry her with the towel. He frowned at every bruise that covered her body.

Making sure her hair was at least somewhat dry, he ran his fingers through it, trying to get as many knots out as he could. Her long spiral hairs wrapped around his fingers as if they wanted nothing more than to hold onto him.

“Mikhail, I’m tired. I need to lie down,” she said quietly.

Picking her up again, he placed her gently in the center of the bed and pulled the sheet up over her. Cleaning up the bathroom and such could wait for awhile as he stripped down to his boxers and climbed in beside her.

She immediately curled into him and fell asleep.

Mikhail lay there, his arm around her, his cock screaming at him to slip inside her. He needed to feel her warmth surrounding him, but he knew that she had to get some rest and to heal some more before he could even attempt anything like that.

Sighing, he smiled and leaned his head down on the top of hers and drifted off.

In the office, Sasha could feel that Mikhail had fallen asleep upstairs with Sienna, so after another twenty minutes of taking his anger out on the bag, he jumped in the shower downstairs. He had a few phone calls to make when he got out, so he didn’t want to take too long.

Somebody screwed up somewhere along the way. Or else Eric had a lot more pull than either he or Mikhail knew about.

When Sienna had first started working for them and was still having problems with Eric, they had helped get her a restraining order, and that seemed to end things. They hadn’t known about the first attack three months prior, or else Eric would have been already dead.

He knew just the person that could get him the information he needed, quickly.

Ryder Kinsey was a tough son of a bitch who could get a rock to give him information if he thought it had what he needed.

“Ryder, it’s Sasha. I need you to get some information for me quietly, and I need it as soon as possible.”

Ryder, never one to take a job without covering his ass, asked, “What kind of information, and will I need to put my lawyer on speed dial again to bail me out?” He snorted.

Sasha laughed, telling him exactly what he needed and why. He would never ask his friends to do something to endanger them. Ryder and his two brothers, triplets actually, had always been there for him and his brother since they were kids. Friendships like that they didn’t take lightly and protected at all cost. It also helped they were their cousins.

“So you want me to dig up as much as I can on the first case against Eric Peters? Isn’t he the one who beat Sienna pretty badly? How come he’s out? I thought for sure that they would keep him locked up until his trial!”

“Well apparently he’s got a little more juice than we thought. He’s out on bail, but that’s not why I want the information. I just found out that Eric had done this before and that somehow he had got the charges dropped. I want to know everything you can find out about the Crown Counsel at the time and the judge handling the case. According to Sienna, the Crown told her that since Eric ‘promised’”—Sasha sneered—“that he’d take anger management classes, they never went ahead with any charges.”

“You have got to be kidding me,” Ryder said. “This sounds familiar to me. Remember Amy, that young girl that works as our receptionist at the club? She had the same problem not long ago with her then-boyfriend. The Crown Counsel at the time told her the same thing.”

Sasha could hear paper rustling on the other end of the phone. “Ryder, what do you know about this guy?”

“Just a second. I have a file here on him. Yea, here it is. Roderick Felton, that was the Crown Counsel at the time of Amy’s case. I think he is still in office, if I’m not mistaken. Let me talk to a few of my people, and I’ll come up to the house tonight and give you as much as I can.”

“Thanks, Ryder, I really appreciate the rush on this.”

“Hey, Sasha, if there is a problem in the Crown Counsel’s office, then we need to deal with it. Women in this town have always felt safe, and if someone is letting these assholes get away with beating up on women, then they aren’t welcome around here. Talk to you later, bud, and tell Mikhail that the little redhead was looking for him. I told her that I was pretty sure that you both were off the market now. I hope I didn’t overstep.”

Thinking about the beautiful woman upstairs, he smiled. “No problem, Ryder. We’ve found the one for us, and we plan on keeping her. I’ll see you tonight.”

The sun was setting when Sasha came into the room with a tray of food and coffee. As he set it down on the table near the end of the bed, Mikhail opened his eyes. “What time is it?” he asked through a yawn.

Smiling, Sasha came around to the other side of the bed and climbed in. “It’s only about six, but Ryder is coming over tonight with some information for us.”

Gently leaving the bed, Mikhail walked over, grabbed a half a sandwich and a cup of coffee, and headed for the bathroom. “I’ll have a shower while you wake our girl up. She needs to eat and take her pain meds, and then if she’s not too bad, we can bring her down to the living room with us.” Sasha lay beside Sienna with his face nestled in the side of her neck. Moving her long hair aside, he gently kissed her cheek. “Little one, it’s time to wake up and get some nourishment into you.”

“Mmm…” She rolled over onto her back and opened her eyes, smiling. “I like how you wake me up.” Putting her hand behind his head, she brought his mouth down for a kiss. Not just a little one either, a knock his socks off kind of kiss.

Dragging his mouth away, Sasha rolled off and stood beside the bed. “You would test the patience of a saint, sweetheart! Now let’s get you up and dressed before I forget that you aren’t supposed to be very active and drive my cock so hard into your pussy you won’t soon forget who you belong to.”

He heard her gasp at his graphic description and smiled.

She loved the words both men used to drive her crazy with desire. She loved when they talked dirty to her. It seemed to be one of her favorite things.

“But, Sasha, I’m feeling much better. You really should come back here and cuddle with me a little.” She smiled coyly at him.

“Oh no, you little imp, up you get.” And he picked her up and set her on her feet beside the bed.
