car parked a few feet away. While they were arguing
neither of them had heard the car pull up.
Anthony walked out of the shadows.
Ned lit up like a Christmas tree. "Even better.
Where are your guards, alpha mate? I didn't think your
master let you outside without them," he sneered. "Doesn't
matter. I'll fuck you first and then take the pretty one with
me."
"I don't think so." Anthony's voice was as calm as if
they were discussing the weather. Ben watched in
amazement as the slim man picked lint off of his jacket,
ignoring the approach of the large werewolf. "I think you're
going to get into that disgusting truck of yours and leave
town. I can't let you harm a pack member. It would upset
my mate."
Lying on the ground, Ben felt a stirring in the air.
The little hair he had on his body rose from a sudden
increase in static electricity while the smell of ozone filled
the air.
He had a very bad feeling about this.
This wasn't going to end well. Struggling to his feet,
he was too late to stop the sequence of events unfolding.
Ned let out a roar of laughter. Without warning he
lunged at Anthony with his knife. Ben's instinct was to
jump in the way but for some reason his feet wouldn't

move. He was paralyzed.
His shock couldn't be any stronger than Ned's.
Before the vicious werewolf reached Anthony, a bolt of
lightning ripped from the sky and fried the bastard where
he stood. The werewolf's expression of shock froze on his
face. His entire body was completely still as if he were
turned into stone.
With one neatly manicured nail, Anthony tapped the
body. A crackling sound filled the air and Ned shattered
into a million pieces like a cartoon character, but ten times
more horrifying. Ben was released from his stasis and
rushed over to Anthony, but now he didn't know if he
wanted to hug the guy or run away screaming.
Anthony's gold eyes locked onto his. He half
expected to see a storm brewing in them but they were
calm and clear. "I always tell Silver I can take care of
myself."
Ben nodded. "What did you say that other quarter of
your heritage was?"
"My grandfather is Zeus."
"Huh." He could see why Silver might not want that
advertized. You want your pack to know you can protect
them, not scare off your members.
The outer door burst open and his two worried
mates rushed to Ben's side.

"Are you all right, sweetheart?" Thomas ran
forward followed closely by Dillon.
"We heard you calling but we didn't know where
you were. Dare told us you'd gone outside." Dillon's eyes
searched him closely, looking for injuries.
Ben watched as his savior walked carefully around
the shattered corpse and sauntered up to the alpha standing
in the doorway.
"Hello, honey. Sorry I'm late. There was an accident
on the way home."
"Where are your bodyguards?" The alpha's tone
indicated there would be a reckoning, but Ben knew
Anthony would enjoy the process.
Anthony looked around the parking lot. "Hmmm. I
guess I must have lost them."
"Get your ass inside, we're going to have a
discussion about how dangerous it is to travel without your
bodyguards." Silver's voice was low and mean. The alpha
looked over at them. "Anything I need to worry about?"
"No sir," Ben said. There was no way he was going
to rat Anthony out even if it was to his mate. If the other
man wanted his mate to know he'd tell him. He relaxed
when the alpha gave him a wink.
"By the way, Dillon, in case my mate didn't tell
you, welcome to the pack."

Dillon gave a short bow, tilting his head in
deference, holding the pose until the alpha stomped after
his mate.
"Fuck they're crazy," he commented.
"Yeah, but they're ours," Ben said, chuckling. "Let's
go to bed. I need reassurance from my mates."
Dillon's hands ran up and down Ben's body. "What
happened out here?"
He watched as Thomas nudged the ash pile with his
foot, the flash of the silver knife shone in the pile. "Is that
what I think it is?"
Ben jerked away from Dillon and threw up on the
asphalt. The fear of moments ago came back threefold as
terror made his hands shake. If Anthony hadn't intervened
he might not have survived the evening.
In shaky tones he told his mates what transpired.
The three of them stared at the pile of ash with fascination
and horror.
"We owe him a debt," Thomas said, swallowing
hard.
"Don't worry. With as much trouble as he gets in
I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunities to repay it,"
Dillon said, dryly.
Ben didn't want to think about the body in the
parking lot. It would probably be carried away by the wind

anyway. Until five minutes ago he would've sworn what he
saw was impossible. Apparently, with the Moon pack
nothing was unbelievable. After all, if a pack could have a
tri-mate, why couldn't they have a man who was part god,
part fae, part witch and all kinds of trouble?

Jaynell's Wolf
5
Nymphs!
Jaynell Marley arrives at Mayell Wizard Academy
to complete his training. Jay had already had years of
advanced private tutoring, therefore his school enrollment
is more to honor his father's wishes. Joining his new dorm
roommates for pizza, Jay literally bumps into werekin
Thomas Sparks. A sniff at Jay's neck has Thomas
proclaiming that Jay is his mate.
Jaynell's Wolf
is the first book in the
Wizard's
Touch
series. The plot is well written plus vastly
entertaining. The main characters are impressive, along
with amusing secondary characters. Jaynell is a powerful
wizard who wonders why his father insisted that Jay attend
a school when it is clear Jay surpasses everyone in magical
skills. However, Jay has an unpretentious personality.
Thomas is a considerate protector, as long as others keep a
respectful distance from Jay. The secondary characters
include Gnomes, dragons, half elf, wolf pack in addition to
a variety of wizards in training. I thoroughly enjoyed
Jaynell's Wolf
. Amber Kell has created a fantastic flight of
the imagination that is laugh-out-loud hilarious, interwoven
with heartwarming moments as well as rousing scenes of
intimate passion. I look forward to the next addition to the
Wizard's Touch
series.
