Laughing, Tess walked down the aisle.

Then Cade was there, standing before her, vowing to love her every day for the rest of their lives. He was handsome as ever, and his deep voice soothed her remaining nerves. There was nothing scary about this. Today, there was only love, family, and the promise of forever.

She should never have been afraid of getting married—today was perfect.

Once she said her vows, Tess cried, and hard, but Cade was there to dry her tears. She smiled at him.

“I’ll always be here,” he whispered.

“So will I.”

At last, they kissed, and she was finally Cade’s.

A
RE YOU SURE
you don’t mind me taking this many photos on our honeymoon?” Tess asked, leaning out the passenger window.

Cade kept a steady hand on the wheel. “You take as many as you want.” He grinned as the shutter clicked through his sentence. He loved how much she loved Yellowstone.

“I’ll make it up to you tonight,” Tess said, “I promise.”

He put a hand around her waist to keep her from falling out of the car. “You don’t have to make anything up to me.”

“But I’m going to anyway.” She pointed. “Cade, look! The herd’s on the move.”

There was a loud lowing as a group of bison trotted onto the road, blocking it entirely. Tess let out a squeal of delight, holding down the shutter. “This is amazing, Cade! It’s like a North American safari!”

Cade smiled. He was glad he could make her happy with his miniscule budget.

Luckily, with the proceeds from a couple Bearview weddings, Cade had been able to spring her lens from the permit office before they left. He felt much better knowing that they’d paid for the lift’s permits outright, and that her lens was no longer collateral.

It took about fifteen minutes for the bison to disperse, but Tess’s excitement kept him entertained. Slowly, they made their way back to their cabin in Mammoth. The day was starting to heat up, and the wildlife wouldn’t be as active.

Cade parked, then followed Tess into their cozy cabin. She sat on the couch, already engrossed in the photos on her camera.

He slipped into the bedroom. Taking her laptop out of her bag, he opened a few sites. Cade looked up once to make sure Tess was still distracted. Positioning the screen so that it faced away from the door, he typed in some details. The results were enough to keep him busy for days.

“Put that thing away.” Tess stood in the doorway, in nothing but lingerie. “What are you looking at, anyway?”

“Nothing.” Quickly, Cade shut the laptop.

“Come on, then.” Tess curled a finger, beckoning him toward her. “I need you in the living room.”

Cade put the laptop aside. He’d have to get on it again before she did, so she wouldn’t see what he was looking at. The travel site still displayed the ticket prices from Jackson Hole Airport to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. And he’d buy them for her, someday. Someday…

But now, he needed to tend to his wife.

Slipping into the living room, Cade went to claim her.
