“Yes! Dump your come in me! Get me pregnant!”

Josh raises his eyebrow, a warning that he’s going to come, and I nod, wrapping my legs around him tighter. He groans in my ear before bottoming out, his cock pumping, and the force of his blasts are so strong that they send me over the edge, holding me tighter as I milk his cock.

“Ohhhh! The lady whimpers. “Fill me up! Don’t let any get out!”

They breathe and moan until we eventually hear nothing.

“I think that did it,” The lady pants, and I already hear the man opening the door. “There’s no way that didn’t get me pregnant.”

I don’t open my eyes until I hear the door shut.

Josh helps me up as we smooth out our clothes.

“Well that was weird,” he laughs. “I hope neither of them were our servers.”

“You're usually good about not coming in me,” I question, because not only just did he, but with the people talking about pregnancy, maybe this is the right time for me to tell him the news.

“Only sometimes,” he smiles. “Why? You want me to do it more?”

“You’d want that?” My heart is racing.

“Of course! It’s the best feeling in the world.”

“Aren’t you nervous I’ll get pregnant?”

“It’s very rare to on the pill,” he gives me a look, and I freeze.

Shit, he thinks I went back on the pill. Why would he think that? Last I told him I didn’t go to the doctor yet.

“Come,” he places his arm around me. “Let’s get back to the party before anyone notices we’re missing.”

I don’t move.

“We can try and guess which servers those were and switch tables if we need to,” he laughs.

“I’m not on the pill.”

“What?” He stops, confused.

“I never went back on it. I’m sorry. I thought you knew.”

“Shit,” he runs his fingers through his hair. “Well, we can get the morning after pill again. Guess we’ve lucked those other few times, huh?”

I nod slowly.

~*~*~*~*~

Matt and Deb wait to take their honeymoon until the summer, but still take a couple of days to go away immediately after the wedding. It’s a little hard to keep up with them, since technically their wedding and honeymoon were both already in France last month.

On Tuesday, Josh stays after school for two meetings, and then goes to grab Matt and Deb’s mail. He says he won’t be back until late, but makes me promise I’d still come over.

As soon as I open his door, the entire apartment is illuminated with candles. Not a single surface is left untouched. I’m confused, thinking he wouldn’t be here, yet I can just make out his dim face under all the flickering lights.

“What’s all this?”

“It’ll always be you,” He smiles. “My personal light, shining brighter than the sun. Changing my life, guiding me, loving me.”

I cock my head to the side, listening to his words.

“Our love has survived the darkest of times, yet never dwindled or dimmed. My light for you simply never goes out,” he shrugs. “You mean the world to me, and I want you to know that no matter what, my sails will only fly white for you. No matter what, I will always come to you.”

My eyes widen, shocked. Surely this is happening because he knows.

He knows.

How?

“Marry me.” He reaches into his pocket.

“You know.” The keys fall out of my gasp, hitting the floor with a loud clank, and we both flinch.

“What?”

“You’re asking to marry me because you know.” My eyes start to water. “How did you find out?”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“You’re not mad at me for not telling you?” I walk up to him, anxious. “You’ve made your feelings about it perfectly clear, and you don’t have to marry me for my sake. It’s gallant of you, but unnecessary.”

“Luci, I’m asking to marry you because I want to spend the rest of my life with you as my wife. What are
you
talking about?”

“You don’t know?” I fathom. “You’re asking me because-”

I can’t believe he’s actually asking me to marry him out of the blue, and not because I’m pregnant. He doesn’t know.

“What is going on?” He swallows nervously, and I do the same.

“Luci?”

“I’m pregnant.”

The color drains from his face.

“But- How-? My sister’s wedding was only last week!”

“It happened in France,” I explain. “There was no access to any day after precautions where we were, and I didn’t freak out because I thought I had my period timed right.”

“You never went back on the pill!” He accuses. “You let this happen on purpose!”

I take a step back, my head tingling, my eyes watering, and my heart pounding.

“It was an accident, I swear!” Wetness slides down my cheeks.

“You know my past!” He shouts. “What a toll it took on both of us. You know my fears, and yet you let this happen!”

“Stop staying that!” I cry.

“Is it mine?”

“I can’t believe you just asked that!”

He turns around, throwing his hands up before covering his face, and I can no longer see through my tears. The next thing I hear is the slamming of a door in the distance.

I grab my purse, pausing, as a new set of waterworks begins. I fall against the wall, sliding down, waiting for them to stop.

When they do, and I can finally see without blurriness, I search through my purse and fish out my phone. I have to have Gracie pick me up.

I sniff, wiping my nose with my sleeve while my body shakes with each deep breath I take and button I press. A few tears drop on the screen, the wetness splashing and rolling under my fingers. I’m startled when the door opens.

“Go away,” my lips tremble.

“I am
so sorry
.” He falls on the floor next to me, and I give him a dirty look.

“I’m scum.”

I’m silent.

“I’m- I’m-” he sighs. “Clearly at a loss for words. I don’t know what came over me other than shock.” He exhales. “I can see why you didn’t tell me sooner.”

I’m shaking uncontrollably as I stand up, and he gets up too. My upset and sadness turns to anger, and out of nowhere I lift my hand and slap him right across the face. “I am not
her
, and how
dare you
fucking say that to me!”

His hand rushes to his cheek, grabbing it.

“I deserve that,” he swallows, stretching his jaw as his hand covers an already very reddening cheek.

I can’t believe I did that.

“Oh my gosh!” I grab my forehead. “I’m so sor-”

“No,” he swallows, obviously in pain. “You don’t apologize, not tonight, not ever.
I
was completely unwarranted.”

Tears stream down my cheeks.

“Oh, Luci,” he pulls me into his arms.

“I’m scared.”

“I’m so sorry.”

“I didn’t mean for this!” I wail.

“I know,” he soothes. “I know. I didn’t mean what I said, I swear.”

We’re quiet, standing in a room full of romantic candlelight, having a moment that is anything but what the atmosphere portrays.

“You weren’t feeling well,” he sighs. “I should have known.”

“You had no way of knowing,” I shake my head.

“I wasn’t around with Holly for anything,” he explains. “I didn’t know the signs,” he pauses. “Oh Luci, I know you’re not her. I’m so sorry. Did you go to the doctor?”

“No,” I wipe my eyes. “I’m not sure if I want to keep it.”

“Because of me?” His face scrunches, pained.

“Because of a lot of things.”

He nods. “Like what?”

“First of all you,” I look at him. “In the mall, you said you never want kids. You were
very
clear.”

He starts to protest, but I stop him.

“But also because it’s too soon in for me. I keep thinking about how my life is going to change drastically. Then of course, there’s my parents! How the hell do I even begin to tell them?”

I sigh loudly.

“But other times, I think of this little face that would look like us. This perfect mix, and I think, yes, this is going to be okay, because I have you. We get to experience and do this together … but then I just go back to number one. You don’t want kids, and here I am, giving you a very similar surprise as your ex.” I swallow hard. “You didn’t have to say those things, though. I know it’s familiar, but really?”

“It was cold, and
I promise
I never for a second thought it wasn’t mine,” he pauses. “I know what I said in the mall. I was a bad father to that kid. I didn’t want that for anyone else. Especially not for our child, and of course not for you, but I want this,” he sighs, placing his hands on my stomach. “I know it’s your body and your choice, but please,
please
, have our baby.”

“You’re just saying that,” I roll my eyes.

“I can promise you I’m not.” He wipes the wetness from my eyes. “I’m scared too, but I want this, with you. I want everything with you.”

“It’s a little hard to believe you after how you just reacted.”

“Obviously, I don’t do well with that sort of shock,” his soft eyes gaze into mine. “I thought I was proposing tonight. Not becoming a father.”

I exhale loudly.

“Worst marriage proposal ever, huh?” He smirks.

“It started out okay,” I smile through my wet eyes.

“Luci,” his forehead falls against mine. “I’m sorry I made you feel that you couldn’t tell me. You must have been terrified.”

“Ren and Gracie were there when I took the test,” I shrug.

“That’s good. I’m glad,” he sighs. “If I blow out all these candles and run to that 24-hour drug store will you take another?”

I sit up. “Because you don’t believe me?” I accuse.

“Because I want the moment,” he explains. “I don’t want to miss anything.”

I nod, unconvinced, and he slides out from under me, leaving me sitting on the couch in a ball. I watch with caution, my eyes puffy, as he blows out every single candle.

“If you want to make a doctor’s appointment for next week I can take the afternoon or morning off.”

It takes him nearly 45 minutes to blow out all of the candles, and as soon as he does, he silently throws his shoes on and grabs his keys.

“Do you want anything else while I’m there?”

I shake my head no before blowing my nose.

“Luci, I’m excited,” he confirms.

“Okay,” I whisper.

“I know you don’t believe me,” he rolls his eyes, walking over to the couch. “I’d be lying if I said I’m not nervous, but we can do anything together, and I’ll prove it to you. Right after this one I’ll fuck another one into you.”

His light-heartedness and poor attempt at a joke still makes me laugh.

“I’ll give you so much of my baby making juice,” he winks “You’ll be popping out my kids for the next ten years!”

I laugh as he quotes the couple from the storage closet.

“There’s that smile,” he kisses me. “I’ll be right back!”

Josh returns fifteen minutes later with a bag and a bouquet of flowers, and we head into the bathroom.

“I’ll call you in when I’m finished.”

“I can’t watch?” He pouts.

“I have to pee on the stick.”

“Oh,” he makes a face.

“I just don’t think I can go if you’re watching me.”

“Yeah it’s fine,” he laughs. “I didn’t realize.”

“You really weren’t part of Holly’s pregnancy at all, were you?” I sigh.

He shakes his head.

“I’ll call you when I’m done.”

Two minutes later, he’s walking back in with a camera.

“Hold it up!” He smiles.

“What are you doing?” I make a face.

“Documenting. Hold it up.”

“It has to lay flat until the result appears.”

“Oh, okay,” he sits on the tub; fumbling with the camera settings as his leg bounces. “How are you so calm right now?”

“Because I already did this,” I laugh.

He pulls me over onto his lap. “I’m so sorry about before.”

“It’s okay,” I rest my head against him. “Alright, it should be done by now.” I get up and walk over. “Positive.”

He smiles, grabbing and twirling me around.

“Okay,
now
hold it up,” he says, placing me down and putting his arm around me. His leans his head against mine as he angles the camera at both us. “Smile!”

“You really are happy about this,” I shake my head, shocked by the turn of events.
