Trudy sighed. “And how is my brother doing now? Suffering, I hope?”

Dewey chuckled in her ear. “You are truly a wicked child aren’t you?”

Trudy shrugged her shoulders. “I think God will forgive me any ill feelings toward him. He’s the one who brought this hell down on top of us.”

“Have some compassion woman. He’s a sick man,” Dewey scolded her.

“I would have compassion for him if he hadn’t brought this on himself.” She nodded. “But he did and he turned his back on me and Amanda a very long time ago. Don’t ask me to feel sorry for him because I won’t do that.” She turned and walked back down the hall to the main room.

Dewey glanced into the room again and shook his head. He’d seen men in Ronnie’s condition before and it always saddened him. Drugs did more than get a person high. This was one example of how drugs could ruin a man. They could take a strong individual and turn him into a whimpering fool. Ronnie would have a long hard road to recovery ahead of him, if the drugs didn’t end up killing him first.

Hours later, Trudy got up and stretched. Her shoulder back and knees were killing her. Sitting that long always hurt. But she’d gotten the information she wanted and now with a little help, she could finally do it. She intended to ruin the cartel.

“What did you find?” Dewey asked. He’d been sitting there watching her for a long time and he knew the moment she was onto something.

She smiled. “I found a way to take it all. They are into drugs, guns money laundering and human trafficking. These are not nice people. Did you know their compound is actually on American soil?”

Dewey sat up with a disturbed look on his face. “Really? They’re based here and not Mexico?”

“Just this side of the border actually.” She grimaced. “I also found two MC’s that are linked to their gun running and drugs.”

“Hang on a second, I want Stone to hear this too. We have some plans to make.” Dewey left the room.

When he returned a few minutes later, Stone was with him.

Stone was dressed in jeans only and his hair was messy and he had a sleepy look in his eyes but he wanted to hear what she had to say.

She sat them both down and relayed what information she had for the cartel. She also told them what she wanted to do. They had their own ideas and together, they came up with a plan. One that worked for all of them.

A few hours later, Dewey opened his eyes and frowned. Something woke him and he couldn’t figure out what that something was. Then he heard it again. Reaching for Trudy, he found her side of the bed empty. The sound came again, and he knew what it was. It was the sound of a heart breaking.

He turned toward the sound and peeking through the shadows, he found her sitting in the corner wrapped in a blanket. Slipping out of bed, he crawled over to her. Wrapping his arms around her shoulder, he drew her close to his body. “
Shhh
…what’s wrong?” he whispered in her ear. “Why are you crying?”

“I had a nightmare.”

“With everything that’s been happening that doesn’t surprise me.” He felt her turn and nuzzle her face into the side of his neck. Her tears dripped off her chin and soaked his chest. “Hey, it’s gonna be okay. I promise.”

Wordlessly, Turdy nodded but didn’t say anything.

“Do you want to talk about the nightmare?” Dewey asked.

“It’s one I haven’t had in a while so when I dreamt it I remembered a time in my life when I was scared to death. It was the night my father kicked me out.”

“Can you tell me what happened?”

“I had snuck out that night to try and save my brother. He owed a drug dealer a lot of money. I knew if my father ever found out there would be hell to pay. So, after everyone went to bed, I went to find the dealer. I had found him already and knew his schedule, so I knew he wouldn’t be home. I got inside his place and destroyed his stash of drugs then I checked his computer and found some strange stuff on it. I copied everything there then deleted it. I didn’t know when the dealer would be back, so I just messed it all up. He wouldn’t have been able to make heads or tails out of what I left. Before I went home though, I hid the money I found. I moved the account he had it into accounts I’d set up. There was a lot of money to move. I didn’t know it at the time but the dealer was the cartels money man. He collected then laundered the drug money before turning it over to the cartel.”

Dewey sat still and listened as she talked.

“When I got home, my father was waiting for me. When he asked where I’d been, I didn’t lie to him. You have to understand something, my father has a tempter and he knows a lie. By this time, his screaming had wakened Amanda and Ronnie. Amanda was sitting half way down the steps crying, but Ronnie, he was standing at the foot of the stairs smirking at the yelling I was getting. He was leaning against the wall with his arms across his chest and a damn smile on his face. My father was screaming and yelling at me getting madder and madder. He was telling me how disappointed he was but that he wouldn’t have to put up with me very much longer. I could see the rage in his eyes and I got afraid of him.”

“Did he hit you?” Dewey asked shortly. His own rage against a man he hadn’t met was growing.

Trudy nodded. “Yeah, he hit me three times before he was done. Then he grabbed the back of my collar and hauled me to the door. Our house was seven steps off the ground so when the door was open, he grabbed me by the collar with one hand and the back of my jeans with the other. He threw me out. I hit the ground hard and for a moment, I couldn’t breathe. I saw him turn his back to me and slam the door shut.” She paused then added, “I was stunned. I knew he would be mad but I never expected what really happened.”

“How old were you when this went down?” Dewey wanted to know.

“I was fourteen.”

Dewey frowned. “What did you do then?”

“We had a tree house in the backyard, so I spent the rest of the night in the tree house. I watched my father go to work the next morning and Amanda let me in. When I came in, I found the bag she packed for me. My father let her pack a few of my clothes. Everything I owned at that moment fit into a small backpack. She packed some food for me and my heart was breaking.”

“What about your brother?”

“Ronnie just stood there watching it happen. He had orders from my father. He loved it when Amanda or I got in trouble and he liked to make it that much worse.”

“What about your mother? Didn’t she stand up for you at all?”

“Mom died in a car accident when Amanda and I were ten. She was on her way to pick me up from gymnastics when a drunk driver hit her car. She died and he got away. He was never caught and I think my father blamed me for her death. After all, I was the reason she was out on the street.”

“That’s nuts. How could the accident be your fault?” Dewey argued.

Trudy shrugged her shoulders. The blanket she was wearing slid off her shoulders and it showed Dewey she’d been naked when she got out of his bed. He dragged her closer and tipping her face to his he kissed her. When he swept his tongue into her mouth, she groaned. Dewey broke the kiss long enough to whisper, “Enough bad memories, let’s make some new better ones.”

Trudy nodded slowly.

Then Dewey got to his feet and carried her over to the bed. He laid her carefully and covered her body with his own. The blanket she’d been wearing fell away and he caught his breath at the sight of her curvaceous body. Her breasts were full and just the right size to fit in his hands. He leaned over and kissed her starting with her lips. Sliding down her neck, he found her sweet spots. When he kissed her neck under her ear, Trudy moaned. Her body was quick to heat and as his lips dipped to her breasts, her core threatened to burst into flames.

When Dewey licked and sucked on her nipples Trudy moaned. “I need you inside me, please.”

He pressed his hard cock into her leg whispering, “Soon I promise.”

Trudy whimpered as his hand slipped lower. When he touched her core, he found her wet. Her juices coated his fingers as he stroked them inside her. She lifted her hips to allow him better access.

Dewey groaned when he felt how wet and ready she was. His cock jumped and his heart beat hard in his chest. Before he could stop himself, he moved into position and slammed inside her. His lips covered her mouth and absorbed her moans. He began to thrust into her hard and fast and they quickly fell into a rhythm. It was faster than they had been before but it seemed to satisfy them both.

Her body where they were connected became warmer and wetter and he could feel her core tighten. She wrapped her legs around his waist and met his thrusts, so his strokes went deeper than ever before.

“I’m so close. Make me come,” she begged.

Dewey felt a zing of lightening zip down his spine and his ball were high and tight. When he felt her walls slam down on his cock his cock throbbed then explode inside her. Trudy cried out her own completion. Dewey sank into her deep and held himself as still as he could.

Sweat dripped off his face and splashed on to her shoulder to mix with her own .Dewey slipped down to his elbows then after a moment he slipped off her but he didn’t go far. He slid to her side and pulled her close to him. He nibbled and kissed her shoulder then whispered in her ear, “Get some rest, sweet girl.”

Trudy nodded and closed her eyes. She knew she needed the rest. Today was going to be a busy day.

Chapter Eleven

A
few hours later, Trudy and Dewey got dressed and went down the hall to the main room. She didn’t even glance at the room where Ronnie and Amanda were. She wouldn’t let herself think about them, not right now. She needed to be focused on what she needed to do today.

Everyone was waiting for her to arrive and when she did, everyone had questions. Holding up her hands she explained, “It would just be easier to tell you what I found, so please bear with me.” She moved around the table and fired up her secure computer. Then she glanced up at the many faces around her. “This cartel is operated here on American soil. They are just miles from the Mexican border but definitely on this side of the border. I found they are running not only drugs but guns as well. I have evidence that they deliver and accept their products with the assistance of two different MCs. I also found they take dirty money and clean it up and they like to buy and sell women in four different countries. They’re getting ready to ship five kidnapped women to South America.”

Dewey took over explaining what was to happen, “Stone contacted someone he knows and together, they are planning a major take down. With civilian help, we are hoping to crush them today.”

Trudy nodded. “I was able to hack into the book keeper’s computer and today I plan to take the cartel for every single penny they’ve got. Not only from their business account but their personal ones as well. And not only the cartels accounts but every single person that they do business with and I’m sorry to say that does include the MCs.”

“You do what you do best baby girl.” Boomer growled. “Those MCs deserve everything they get. The dirty dogs.” He stomped his way to the kitchen grumbling the whole way. When he returned a moment later, he handed her a large cup of hot coffee. “Thought you might need that to get your heart started this morning.”

Trudy leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Thank you Boomer.” Then she sat down and began her task.

Someone turned on a television and changed the channel to the news station. There was nothing outstanding yet, but they all knew this would make the news at some point.

Several hours later, she stopped and hung her head. She felt wiped out. She tried to stand but her body hurt to move. She groaned softly and someone was there to help her up. She raised her eyes and for a brief moment, they were unfocused. She’d been in her own zone since shortly after she started. She was able to block out everything around her, so she could concentrate on what she was doing.

Looking up again, she found herself gazing into Stone’s eyes.

He was smiling.

“What’s going on?” she asked softly. Looking around the main room she found everyone was glued to the television screen. News flashes announced several leading stories, all connected to breaking up the cartel.

“Let’s just say some very bad men had a very bad day,” he murmured. “Law enforcement were crazy today. FBI and ATF swarmed three states and brought down an empire of drugs and guns. FBI found five kidnapped women and rescued them. The military recovered several shipments of stolen weapons. The weapons had been stolen from them on their way to be destroyed. The guns seemed to just disappear. No one had been able to find them in months. ATF found the biggest shipment of heroin and other drugs they’ve found before. Billions of dollars of street drugs have been destroyed. Somehow, a fire broke out at the storage warehouse. A fire that was allowed to burn.”

“Damn.” She grinned. “That’s too bad”

“Isn’t it?” he agreed. “Oh well, how did you do?”

She smiled evilly. “Everyone and I do mean
everyone
connected with this cartel is now without funds. All their experts will find is all the money was transferred into one account then it was gone. The account doesn’t even exist anymore.”

Dewey and a few men joined them. Dewey wrapped his arm around her waist and he leaned in to kiss her cheek. “It’s gone?”

“It’s gone, like it never existed.” She nodded. “No one will ever find it.”

“How much money are we talking about here?” Parker asked. “You said you took fourteen billion from the Taliban, what did you get from the cartel?”

“About two hundred billion, give or take.”

“Damn,” Parker whispered in the sudden silence that surrounded them.

When she raised her head, she found everyone had heard her. They all wore a shocked look on his or her face. “What?” she asked.

“Holy shit!” Colt swore. “That’s a lot of money.”

Trudy shrugged. “It was every penny they had. And now it’s gone.”

“We’ll have to keep her safe for some time to come,” Dewey announced to the group.

“She’s one of us now,” Stone said out loud. “I don’t see that as a problem.”

“We’ll have your back anytime you need us,” Boomer assured them. “Speaking of having your back,” He looked over at Trudy. “My boys got the bombs where you said they would be safe.”

“Okay, I’ll get Trent on it,” Trudy told him. “Tell your men to stand down and come home. Their job is done.”

Boomer reached for his phone.

“Maybe you can tell them to clear out the compound,” Stone suggested. “We haven’t seen our guests in a while but that doesn’t mean they’re gone. We can’t leave here until the coast is clear.”

Dewey turned to Stone. “Has anybody heard from the guys keeping an eye on Terik?”

“Nothing yet, so we can’t count him out,” Stone admitted. “I’m going to call Shay and check on things on his end.”

He moved away to make his call leaving Dewey and Trudy alone for the moment. She leaned against him. “I’m tired.”

“I’ll bet you are.” He kissed her temple. “You did an awesome job today, do you know that?”

She shrugged. “I did what needed to be done that’s all.”

Dewey grinned. “You did something awesome. Not very many people can do what you do.”

Trudy laughed. “Not many people would ever dream about doing what I did, let alone actually do it. These are the kind of people that do not like other people stealing from them. It tends to make them want to make an example out of anyone who would dare it.”

“And that makes you worry?” Dewey frowned.

“Amanda was right about one thing. What I did puts her life in danger as well as my own and Ronnie’s. The cartel may not have proof that I was behind this but they are the type of men who don’t need actual proof of a crime. They just take out anyone they think had a hand in it. They like to shoot first and ask questions later…if ever.”

“They were coming for you guys anyway, before this happened,” Dewey pointed out.

“That’s true enough.” She shrugged. “I’ve learned to live my life in secret. She never has. Ronnie may have thought he was hiding but if the cartel had him carry a tracker, he was never really safe from them at all. I don’t know what’s going to happen to them now.”

“I think Ronnie will be spending at least some time in jail then if he plays his cards right, he can get Witsec,” Dewey told her. “Amanda will figure out her own life. She may be mad now but she’ll get over it.” Wrapping his arms around her body he pulled her into his embrace. “And you, my dear girl have a new family. You are more than welcome to stay here with me for the rest of your life.”

Trudy blushed. “Really?”

“I promise,” Dewey vowed. “My brothers have accepted you all the way.”

“Okay, let me take care of some business then I’m all yours,” she whispered as she kissed him.

An hour later, a news flash on the news channel told the world that twenty seven bombs had been recovered. The announcer told the world that nobody knew what they were meant for but they were in the ATF’s custody and would be destroyed, so they couldn’t be used again.

Trudy turned to Stone. “Were they able to stop the attack on the military leaders in Iraq?”

“Shay said he would be by in a couple of days to debrief us on the situation,” he replied. “We’ll have to wait until then to find out. I tried to call Brag but he was busy. Maybe if he has time, he’ll call me back.”

Trudy nodded. Suddenly, she felt tired. Everything came crashing down on her shoulders and the stress of the last few days wiped her out. Without a word to anyone, she got up and went down the hall. When she closed the door to the bedroom, she stumbled over to the bed and flopped herself down. Closing her eyes, she felt the tears begin. For the moment, she let her tears soak the pillow. Then she heard the door opened and Dewey sat down beside her.

She turned her tear filled eyes to find him watching her. “Make me forget the pain. Give me better things to remember than this day. Please…give me that.”

“Gladly,” he vowed. Reaching for her, he crushed her to him. His lips came down on hers hard. When she gasped, he swept his tongue into her mouth and began thrusting it in and out. Trudy felt her body respond to his. He broke the kiss long enough to rip her shirt off her. Nibbling down her neck, he began sucking on her skin all the way down to her collarbone. His arm reached around her back and he unclasped her bra. When he released it, he flung the offending object to the floor. Then his lips and tongue were bathing her breasts with kisses. He sucked her nipples deep in his mouth.

Trudy gasped as his teeth bit down gently on her skin. Her body felt on fire as Dewey’s hands went to her jeans.

He made quick work of the fastenings and began drawing her pants and panties down her legs. Then he was there. His mouth covered her clit in a second. Breathing deeply, he caught the scent of her arousal. “God you smell good,” he murmured as he fastened on to her core. Her juices slid across on his tongue and he moaned at the flavor they created. “Oh man, you taste even better.”

Trudy lifted her hips slightly and grabbed the back of his head. She wanted to mash his mouth as close to her as possible but he was already there. His tongue and fingers spread her lips and before she could think, he rammed two fingers deep inside her. “Ahh….” Trudy moaned helplessly.

Then Dewey rose up and slid his body against hers then slammed his hard cock deep inside her. “I couldn’t wait any longer,” he whispered in her ear and he plunged into her again.

“I’m not complaining,” she whispered breathlessly as he continued his assault on her senses.

He continued to thrust into her and felt he was losing control, but he couldn’t stop. He felt her pussy tighten down on his shaft and he knew she was close. “I need you to come. I can’t hold on.”

As if on cue, Trudy lifted her hips as she came. Bright bits of color went off like fireworks behind her eye lids and she screamed out his name. She felt herself clamp down on his invading cock but it wasn’t to keep him out, it was to keep him deep inside her.

Dewey sank deep inside her and stayed as he rode out his climax.” I love when we come together,” he growled into her ear. Finally, he couldn’t help but slide off her body. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to lay on top of him.

Trudy snuggled Dewey as she laid her head on his chest. She could hear his heart pounding in his chest and the sound gave her comfort. Closing her eyes, she felt herself drifting off. Dewey pulled the covers up to cover them both. Then he too, closed his eyes and they both fell asleep.

A knock sounded on the door. Dewey moved Trudy off his chest and grabbing his jeans, made his way to the door. Parker motioned for Dewey to join them and Dewey grabbed his shirt and shoes before walking down the hall to join everyone else in the main room. “What’s up?” he wanted to know.
