After shaking off his pants, he crawled between her legs.

“Do you ever wear underwear?” she asked as his lips hovered above her pussy.

Instead of answering, he
inhaled deeply, rubbing his nose against her clit. He
held her still while h
is tongue gave a tentative lick on her tender folds. It earned him a sharp gasp. Pleased by her response, he continued licking her, drawing out more of her juices before he twirled his tongue on her clit.

The sweet-salty taste of her brought his wolf closer to the surface. With iron-clad will, he kept his fangs sheathed. Sweat broke out on his forehead as he licked again and again. His cock twitched with acknowledgment of her divine fragrance and the need to rest inside her.

“Oh my…” she panted.
His lips latched onto her clit, giving the tiny bundle of nerves a hard suck. Her legs trembled and tightened on the sides of his face.

She gasped for more.

His tongue dipped inside her body briefly before his teeth grazed her clit.

“Oh my God,” she screamed, lifting from the bed.

The flat of his palm rested against her belly, pushed her down and remained there. His tongue flicked across the hard nub in a firm, fast rhythm.
Her body trembled as she reached her peak.

“Ahhhh….” She tensed as her first orgasm hit her. He held her lower legs still as he continued to lap all her juices while stroking her trembling body. Her passion fueled his. It was becoming harder to control his wolf.

After giving her pussy one last kiss, he slid forward on top of her, pinning her down with his bigger body. Half-closed eyes looked at him. Her lip curled as she pulled him down and took his lips.
Their tongues dueled until she submitted, allowing him to have his way. Her mouth tasted so sweet he tried to lick every inch of it. The sexy mewling sounds she made drove him crazy with need. Unable to wait, he groaned, kissed her hard, and lifting her slightly, slid deep inside her sheath. She was so very tight. Tighter than he remembered the last time and the heat, it was incredible. So warm and welcoming.

“Yesssss,” she hissed.

She was so wet and perfect around his cock as he thrust into her. He pulled all the way out and then drove straight back in. The scent of her arousal washed over him, testing his control. He slammed into her, increasing his pace. He couldn’t stop.
He took her hard and deep, growls tore from his throat as he took pleasure from her luscious body. His gums itched, but he ignored it.

He pulled her legs up around his waist and looked down at their joined bodies. The contrasts blew his mind. Soft and hard. Dark and light. Sweet and, well, who knew what he was.

She moaned, clutching onto his arms as her body responded to him, pressing up as he pressed down. Moving faster and harder within her, he forgot she was human. Forgot to take it slow, or easy. His mind flew on a cloud of bliss, seeking fulfillment.

“Silas,” she screamed as her body stiffened. Her pussy clenched tight around his cock. Loud breathy moans dragged from her throat as her body went taut and shuddered through her climax. Her tight sheath rippled around his cock and took him over the edge. A tingling sensation filled his mouth. With a roar he arched back, jerked hard, and released his hot cum into her as he rode the tide of supreme satisfaction.

Their breaths mingled in the aftermath of what had to be one of the most satisfying sexual romps he could remember. Sated, his wolf retreated to rest. Silas stiffened.

His fangs had dropped
.

He rose slightly and shook his head at the reddened jagged edges of skin on Jasmine’s neck from his bite. Before he could comprehend the enormity of his mistake, the skin began healing, knitting together. Intrigued, he counted silently to see how long it would take. In less than thirty seconds the only evidence of the bite was two small entry marks. And through the healing process, she’d lain pliable beneath him. Not once had she screamed other than when she reached her satisfaction. She should have responded in some manner to the bite, either pain or ecstasy.
What the hell
? He’d never seen anyone heal that fast.

Inhaling, he detected his scent and knew a part of him, in addition to the pups, resided inside her.

“That was…great. I guess I’ll keep you around,” Jasmine said as she stretched beneath him like a satisfied cat.

His dick twitched.

“I think I’ll let you.” Bending, he captured her lips and nibbled the bottom one a bit. “I require a lot of this and if you’re up to it, I’ll come to you.” He chuckled at her startled expression and stroked her cheek. “I’m willing to try this monogamous thing, but you have to meet me halfway, okay?”

Mute, she nodded. Her eyes roamed over his face as though it would tell her more than what he said. “I’m wolf and my world is not shades of gray, it’s more black and white. When I’m hungry, I eat. If I’m cold, I find warmth. If there is a problem I fix it. I need sex, I take it. Things are simple.”

“But—”

He placed a finger over her mouth. “Keep it simple. If I come to you, just give me what I need. No games. No discussion. It’s a need like anything else. As long as the need is met, I’ll come to you.” He paused, waiting for some sign that she understood.

The persistent jingle of the phone rang again.

She covered her eyes with her arm. “Answer it. It’s probably important.”

“I’m being honest with you, Jasmine. I expect the same from you.” He reached over and picked up his cell.

“Remember that,” she muttered as she tried to get up.

His palm slapped against her stomach. “No.”

They stared at each other for a moment and then she eyed the cell in his hand. “Isn’t somebody on the other end?”

“Silas,” he snapped, watching her saucy wink. One thing about this human woman in particular, she could hold her own with some of the toughest bitches he’d run across.

“La Patron, this is Mason. We have a problem, Sir. A few men from my pack left to meet with a few of the wolves in the state who haven’t pledged allegiance to any Alpha. While asking questions, they discovered there is a rebel group that just left Missouri. They’ve been killing the human women and any children they birth. From what my wolves tell me, they’re headed to Kansas City, supposedly there are some human females there.”

“What the hell?...” He looked at Jasmine and knew he needed to take this conversation. He stood. “I’ve got to deal with something. I just sent for Rese, he’s on his way to pick you up.”

Her eyes widened before narrowing. “Fine.” She sat up and stood. A few seconds later she’d repaired her appearance just as he heard Rese’s car pull up. Head held high, she walked to the door and without looking back she strode out into the darkness. He waited until the sound of engine grew faint. “Talk to me, Mason. Start over from the beginning and don’t leave out anything.”

“Yes sir. During the last conference call you instructed us to search our territory for human breeders and half-breeds. The wolves I sent on patrol returned with some half-breeds and information about wolves killing the humans.” It took another fifteen minutes, going over all the information for Silas to acknowledge the reality of the threat. He’d known something like this would happen. Wolves had a pack mentality and would always protect what they considered the solidarity of the group.

A month ago, he’d be congratulating the rebels for their commitment to keeping their nation pure. Now…his emotions were a confused bundle of anger, and excitement. The pressure of dealing with the conflicting senses pissed him off. Once again he wondered why his seed took root in Jasmine. Who was she? Why had the Goddess chosen her? In all his years, he’d never dropped fang or bit someone during sex unintentionally. Never and yet tonight, he’d bitten her and had no recollection of doing so. When had he lost control over his wolf? That wasn’t a good thing.

“I’m going to set up an Alpha conference in thirty minutes. Be prepared to share the information again and to answer questions. I want everyone on alert.”

“Yes Sir.”

Silas disconnected the call and pulled up his laptop. Within minutes, he'd set up the meeting and sent out a request to those he wanted to attend to be available. He contacted Tyrone and Tyrese to make sure they arrived back at his place in time for the video conference call.

Leaning back in his chair, he closed his eyes. A picture of a sultry Jasmine rose before him. She’d been hot and needed him to ease her ache. The smell of her desire still filled the room. He squeezed his fist, knowing it might be a long time before she gave him another chance to crawl between her thighs. Trouble was coming and it had her name on it.

Chapter Four

Silas watched the large 50" monitor as each of his Alphas checked in. Some were wary, others relaxed, all interested in what'd happened to call another meeting within twenty-four hours of the last one. Tyrone and Tyrese stood in front of the door just out of the monitor’s view. Jayden sat with him at the table.

“Once again I’ve called you together to discuss another threat to our nation. This information was brought to my attention less than an hour ago and it’s imperative that each of you watch your back yard closely. I want detailed reports sent to Jacque regarding any and all human breeding activity. We need to understand what’s happening, and more importantly, why. I cannot ascertain the answers to those questions without additional information.”

A chorus of 'yes, sirs' filled the room.

Silas nodded. “Mason, tell your brothers what you reported to me.”

Mason nodded deferentially and re-told the information about the rebels. Meanwhile, Silas did a mental connection to each of his Alphas. It took some time because some were a great distance away. But it was important for him to gauge the true feelings of these men when they opened the discussion about half-breeds. Externally, they’d agree with whatever he decided, but he needed to know their hearts.

Silas had connected to thirty of the forty-five when the discussion regarding half-breeds became spirited. He split his attention so he could listen and still make his connections.

“I think the rebels are doing us a favor, we should leave them alone. This way, we end the scourge of half-breeding. Get rid of the human bitches,” Chase, the Alpha from Colorado, said.

Silas linked into Chase and was surprised by the level of hate and animosity residing in the Alpha.

“No. They are killing humans. That will draw attention and bring in the human authorities,” another Alpha argued.

“It doesn’t matter. We need to get rid of the plague of half-breeds. The best way is to kill the human females. That would solve the problem,” another Alpha argued. During the heated discussion, Silas remained silent.

With three more Alphas left to connect with, Silas sensed a change in the room. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Tyrone and Tyrese staring at him. When he caught their eyes, they turned and faced each other. That was not good.

“Give me a minute, I’m linking with the Alphas so I can determine who’s telling the truth or not.” Silas sent the message to the twins and Jayden. Jayden nodded and relaxed.

But to his amazement, the twins had blocked him. He resent the message, but it didn’t go through. Silas attempted to speak to the twins' wolves and found that avenue blocked as well. Shocked at this revelation, he watched as Tyrone walked closer until he was in full view of the monitor.

“Alpha Chase?”

Chase looked up with a frown. “Who are you?”

Tyrone crossed his arms.

Silas sensed the young pup held onto his anger with only the slightest leash. Jayden moved, but Silas placed a palm on his arm to restrain him. It was at that moment, Silas connected with each of his Alphas. Like a breeze, he flowed through their minds, tasting their emotional states. All but about five were calm and waited for instructions, which was as it should have been. But those five concerned him. Two were almost rabid in their hate against the human breeders. The other three didn’t like it, but weren’t as emotionally vested as Chase and Montgomery, Alpha of Vermont.

“I’m Tyrone and that’s my brother Tyrese.” He pointed to Tyrese, who’d stepped up to join him. All the Alphas quieted when they realized the twins were in the same room with Silas.
