Chapter 24

“I've seen the sex tape,” she said, lying there in Cass's arms. “Like about five hundred times. Before I even met you. You know what I've always wanted. I wanted it like that. I think I wanted you two from the moment I saw it.”

Round one had worn them all out, and after they cleaned up they'd dozed for a little while, Marian with her head on Cass's chest, curled up on one side of him, Beau lying on the other, his head pillowed on his arm as he watched. It was the most intimate moment Cass could remember being a part of. Usually when they fucked women, they got up immediately and left as soon as possible. Even with Marian, that morning, there'd been no cuddling after. And he and Beau had never lain around like this with one another. Life suddenly seemed filled with infinite possibilities. Until Marian had mentioned that goddamned tape. He felt himself frowning. He didn't like what she was saying. “Is that why you went to bed with us? Because of that video?”

“Sort of,” she said, and Cass's heart dropped into his stomach. He didn't want that. What they had wasn't about that damn tape. It wasn't about sex. Not for him. Beau's face was shuttered, closed. It wasn't about that for him, either.

“It's just that before I saw it, before I saw you two together like that, I thought that I was wrong, somehow. That what I wanted was wrong.” She cocked her head to the side as she looked at them. “But then I saw that and I thought, ‘Those two would understand.' And you do, don't you?” She rolled more on top of him and placed her chin on her fist on his chest. “But I didn't have the nerve to go for it until fate brought me to you.” She pointed at Cass. “I was still carrying around all that baggage from what happened. I needed this,” she said, and made a circular motion with her finger, indicating the three of them together. “I needed this to heal. And now I have. It's finally over and I'm moving on.”

“So you just needed us to get over what happened in college?” Beau asked stoically.

Marian came to her knees and grabbed for Beau's hand, pulling him closer. With both hands she held his palm to her cheek. It was a position that hinted at submission, but Marian was in complete control. She was breaking Cass's heart and didn't even know it. She'd never said it back, earlier. She'd never told them she loved them, had she? She hadn't lied.

“I thought that's all I needed you for,” she agreed. “But it's so much more than that now. For the first time I feel like I can be myself, and you two gave me that. This”—she waved her hand down along her side—“is who I've always wanted to be. The kind of woman who sees what she wants and asks for it. And you want that woman. You like her. I've never been liked for the real me before. That's pretty powerful stuff. But the thing is, I only want to be this for you two.” She shook her head and looked at Cass. “I'm not saying it right. Look, I know what you said about your feelings earlier, but it's too soon for any of us to know, I think. But I can say with absolute certainty that it's because it's you two, and because you already came as a matched set, I was ready to ask for what I wanted. I wasn't afraid you'd misinterpret, because you want the same things. And that connection goes deeper than just the physical between us. I know that. I can feel that. There's friendship and respect and support and a lot of intangibles that suddenly have us saying things like boyfriends and girlfriend. I'm not afraid of that, either. Because I believe I have something to offer you guys. I can give you what you want. No judgment, no negotiating, no hesitation. I
understand
you. That makes me special to you two, too.”

“That's too much talking without saying anything,” Cass burst out. “If all you want is sex from us, I'm not okay with that. I'm ready for more. I want more.”

Beau was watching Marian with a tender look on his face. “We're all ready for more, I think. That's what you're trying to say, too, isn't it? But you're not the type to jump into the fire.”

“I jumped before,” she said quietly. “I got badly burned.”

Cass ran both hands through his hair. “I don't want to burn you. I want to make love to you. Not sex, not just fucking. It wasn't just fucking.”

“It's never been just fucking with you,” Marian said. “Not for me.”

“You want what you saw in the video?” Cass asked, trying really hard to understand. “But only with us? Because it's us and you know we want you and each other.”

“Yes,” she said firmly. “And I got what I saw in the video. But I'm getting so much more, aren't I?”

“You're damn right you are,” Cass said.

“At last, a plan,” Beau muttered with a little huff of laughter. “Now he can play the game.”

“It's not a game,” Cass said, and Beau's heart sort of tripped in his chest at the look on his face and the seriousness in his voice. “It's how it is, how it's going to be. We've waited a long time. Maybe too long.”

“Meaning?” Beau asked.

“Meaning we almost let this pass us by,” Cass said. He reached out and traced the back of his index finger down the center of Beau's chest, and Beau felt like he'd been branded by that simple touch. “I'm so grateful Marian came along and made me realize what we could have, what this could be for us.”

“Is that what I did?” she asked. “How?”

“You know how you said you could finally be yourself with us?” Beau asked, staring into Cass's blue eyes. “That's how I feel, too. Like I was being who everyone else thought I should be. First was that guy who partied and did drugs and lived the life. Typical dumb-shit football player. Then I became the guy who was broken and needed fixing. The guy who couldn't take that other lifestyle and somehow that made me less, made me weak, even more than never living it. You know? Those are the guys everyone expected me to be. And all along there was this other guy inside me, the real me. I don't need that shit, right? And I can take it. I can be who I want to be and fuck them all. That's me. You made me see that.”

“I didn't do anything,” she protested.

“Yes, you did,” Cass said, jumping into the conversation. “You saw him. I didn't. Well, I knew he was in there, but I didn't really see him, I didn't make him be that guy, and you did. I let him coast, I let him be whatever I thought made him happy, and in the meantime, I was making him miserable. I didn't know how to treat him, not really. I just tried to protect him. That's not love. That's not what he needed.”

“You would have gotten there,” Marian told him, running her finger along Cass's ear.

“Maybe, maybe not,” Cass said. “I can't help but feel that you shook us up. You saw both of us and didn't take our bullshit. You opened my eyes. From the moment I realized how much I wanted you I knew that this”—he motioned among the three of them—“was what I wanted, where we were going. I'd never thought of that before, not with any other woman.”

“Where are we going?” Marian whispered.

“To the next level,” Cass answered.

“And what's that?” she asked.

“Me,” Beau said. “I'm the next level.”

“I couldn't have said it better myself.” Cass playfully pushed Marian over Beau's hip, and with a laugh, she rolled over him so that Beau lay between the two of them. “Now we get to play with Beau.”

“I thought it wasn't a game,” Beau said, his heart pounding with a mix of fear and anticipation.

“No game,” Cass said. “Everybody wins when we play.”

Marian bit him on the shoulder and Beau jerked a little, startled, which only made her laugh. She licked the spot and then sucked on it. “Mm,” she said. “You taste good.”

“Doesn't he?” Cass murmured. He quickly straddled Beau, and Beau found the sensation familiar and yet foreign. He knew Cass so well, but he'd never felt the touch of his bare flesh like this, never felt his ass and balls on his stomach before. He squirmed, wanting more. Cass was staring at his chest as he ran his hands from Beau's shoulders down to his pecs and then to his sides. Then he leaned over and bit one of Beau's nipples. Beau practically came up off the bed at the electrifying sensation. His dick went from half-interested to hard in about twenty seconds. Marian leaned over him, tucking her hair out of the way behind her ear, watching him.

“This is going to be fun,” she whispered. “You'll love it, I promise.” Then she kissed him, and having both her and Cass's mouths on him at the same time was the most erotic, amazing thing he'd ever felt. He sucked in an unsteady breath, cupped Cass's head to hold him there, and kissed Marian back. If he was going to do this, he was going to do it right.

With licks and little bites, Cass worked his way down Beau's stomach, which was clenched taut with the kind of mind-blowing nervousness that accompanied sexual firsts. Each drag of Cass's beard along his sensitive skin sent bolts of electrifying awareness through him. Beau really wanted Cass to get to where he was going, which he hoped was his dick. There was a long pause after he licked the crease between Beau's thigh and torso, and disappointment crashed down on Beau, because Cass wasn't going to do it.

In typical Cass fashion, he did it without fanfare or warning. He just took Beau's cock in his mouth and sucked it deep. Beau gasped and Marian pulled away from their kiss to look down at what Cass was doing. Just then Cass let him go and coughed.

“Not as easy as I make it look, is it?” Marian said with a lot of sass.

“No, ma'am,” Cass drawled, and Beau's toes curled as Cass's hot breath washed over his cockhead. “But I'll get the hang of it. With a lot of practice.”

“Start now,” Beau said. “The practice, I mean.”

“You get bossy when your dick is getting sucked,” Cass muttered.

“Yep,” Beau said.

Cass chuckled, and Beau groaned at that hot wash of breath again. He made a strangled sound as Cass sucked him in again, but not as deep as the first time. Didn't matter, it still felt fantastic. Cass awkwardly worked him with his fist and his mouth for a few minutes. Marian spent the time exploring his body, kissing and licking and touching him everywhere. Cass's lack of experience was obvious, but completely irrelevant to how much Beau enjoyed the hell out of it. But when Marian slipped her hand between his legs, reaching past Cass to run her fingernail across his sac, he had to stop them.

“I'm going to go,” he said breathlessly, pulling on Cass's hair. “I can't. Stop.”

Cass listened to him and let go. Beau was so surprised it took a moment to miss the wet heat of his mouth. “I'm not going to stop yet,” Cass told him. His voice was a little worse for wear, like he'd been sucking cock, which he had. Beau grinned. Then what Cass said registered.

“What?” he asked stupidly.

“Not until you're ready,” Cass said, watching him intently. “I read a little about this, and I think it will help if I suck you while I'm stretching you.”

Beau was rendered speechless. This was it.
Damn.
He wasn't ready. And yet he was
so
ready. He just nodded.

“Do you want to watch what he's doing,” Marian asked, “or would you rather have me crawling all over you, distracting you? I'm not sure, since I've never been part of a deflowering before.”

Cass busted out laughing, and even Beau huffed out a nervous laugh. “Is that what they call it in the South?”

“That's what they call it in old-timey romance books,” she said. “It seemed appropriate.”

Just then Cass sucked his dick back in and circled his hole with a slick finger.

“Crawling all over me,” Beau said firmly. “I can't handle the feel of it and the sight of it together yet. Sensory overload.”

“Gotcha,” Marian said. “I know what you mean.” She straddled his middle and then lay down on him, her breasts rubbing on his chest. “You can play with any part of me you like,” she whispered in his ear, then she bit his earlobe.

“Why are you two always biting me?” he asked breathlessly, wincing a little at the sting as Cass worked his finger in. Cass swirled his tongue around the head of his dick at the same moment, and Beau bit his lip to keep his groan in. Marian gently pulled on his lip, then she sucked on it.

“You just taste so damn delicious,” she told him, rubbing sensuously against him, her hips undulating. He felt the damp curls of her pussy on his abs, and the overwhelming sensations of what they were doing tightened all his muscles. He slid his hands up Marian's smooth back, then danced his fingers down the knobs of her spine, right down over her ass. He pushed a finger into her pussy, and she shivered and sighed and then kissed him again. He found himself relaxing, falling into a deep hole of pure sensation and desire, never hitting bottom, just floating.

It felt like just minutes had passed when Cass pulled his fingers out. He fell on his back beside Beau, making the bed bounce, and Beau and Marian stopped kissing. They blinked at each other as if they were dazed, and Marian laughed breathlessly. Cass was putting a condom on and Beau's nerves returned.

“On your back, sugar,” Cass told Marian. “Beau in the middle.”

“Beau in the middle,” Marian agreed, rolling off him so that she lay between them. “Is that the name of this game?”

“The name of this game is fuck Marian first,” Cass teased, kissing her on the nose. He shoved a couple of pillows under her hips, so that she lay there looking like an awkward sacrifice.

“You're good at this naming shit,” she told him seriously, and Cass laughed.

“I'm good at everything, sugar.” Beau couldn't have agreed more. Cass turned and looked at him expectantly. He didn't ask, he wasn't hesitant, didn't look unsure. He just waited. He knew the answer as sure as he knew Beau.

Beau rolled over right into the cradle of Marian's spread thighs, then came to his knees. Without a word, Cass slid a condom onto his dick. It already seemed natural to have Cass handling him like that. When it was on, Beau braced his hands next to Marian's shoulders and shifted. She moved with him, so that he easily slid inside her slick pussy.
