Suddenly, he broke the kiss and held himself above her. His canines were fully extended, and his throbbing cock was buried deep inside her core. She could tell he was trying to hold back, to gain some sort of composure, but she didn’t want him to.
“I can’t—”
“Don’t,” she said, cutting him off. “Don’t fight it. Fuck me hard and fast, and mark me as yours.”
He pulled almost all the way out, and then thrust into her hard and fast. She held onto his back and turned her head, exposing her neck, waiting for his bite. His teeth grazed over her sensitive skin twice before he sank his canines into her flesh.
She screamed his name and came as he held on and pounded into her.
When he let go, he licked the mark and then kissed her lips. She smiled as his emotions seemed to wrap her in a cocoon. Hope, love and joy topped the list, but desperate longing soon followed.
She opened her mouth to question him, and he steadied himself on one arm, and shoved the soft skin between his pointer finger and thumb between her lips.
“Bite me, baby,” he pleaded. “Break the skin. I want to feel your emotions, too.”
He wanted her to bite him? Could she? The act seemed so barbaric, and she didn’t know if she had it in her to hurt him, let alone taste his blood. His disappointment swamped her, and the look on his face nearly broke her heart. For him, she would try.
She nodded and closed her eyes, and then bit down on the thin line of flesh. Gabe continued to move in and out of her, and her whole body tingled as he edged her toward her second orgasm.
“Harder, baby,” he coaxed. “Break the skin. Claim your bear.”
She tightened her jaws around him, and suddenly the warm liquid coated her tongue.
“Don’t let go,” he said.
She sucked the skin as he moved in and out. She could feel his cock throbbing against the soft, swollen walls of her pussy and a minute later he roared his release. She licked the bite and followed a second later. When their breathing returned to normal, he collapsed on top of her and she welcomed the weight of him.
His love wrapped her in its protective embrace and she knew his feelings were true. She thought about how much she loved him, and hoped he could feel its strength.
“I love you,” he said, planting a chaste kiss on her lips, “and I can feel you love me, too. Thank you for marking me back.”
“Do you know what I’m feeling now?” she asked, playfully.
Now that they had the bites out of the way, she wanted to have some fun, but her stomach growled, betraying her naughty thoughts. They both burst out laughing.
“Real food first,” he said, lifting off of her. “I’ll make breakfast, and then you can put your mouth anywhere you want.”
“Promise?” she asked, chomping her teeth together.
“No teeth,” he said, laughing. “Lips only. That shit hurt like hell.”
“But teeth can be fun,” she said, pushing out her lower lip, pretending to pout.
“Fine,” he said. “Teeth are okay, but no blood.”
“Yeah, no blood,” she agreed. “I’m not sure I could do that again.”
“Luckily, you don’t have to,” he said. “You’re mine, baby.”
“And you’re mine right back,” she said, kissing his lips softly.
“Always.”
Chapter Six
Two weeks later…
Michelle looked around the bar and laughed at the latest couple to walk in. The bulky salt and pepper costumes where cute, but the place was nearly stuffed to capacity, and she didn’t think they would be able to maneuver anywhere through the throng of people.
True to his word to give her anything she desired, Gabe’s groveling started with the agreement of a costume party in the bar. So far the themed Tuesday night had brought in more business than any Friday ever had, but that meant everyone had been on the go since the doors opened.
Luckily, they only had an hour before last call.
Jared put the last drink on her tray, and she defied all odds by making it through the crowd without spilling anything. When she started to make another round for orders, a man at one of the tables started to harass her.
“What the hell are you supposed to be, fattie?” the man said. “You look like a big orange blob.”
She smiled at the man, but refused to give in to his bullying.
Her orange t-shirt said

in green, and matched her short frilly orange skirt. Black spandex shorts covered the brand new mint green panties she’d purchased as a surprise for Gabe later, and an orange bandana with green leaves topped her head. Underneath her tee, a lacy mint green bra matched her panties.
She might look like a big orange blob to some, but she liked her costume. It was fun, silly, and best of all, she complimented her Gabe’s costume perfectly.
As if thinking of him made him appear, her mate suddenly stood behind her. She smiled at him over her shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her against him. She could feel his hard cock pressing into her ass as he leaned forward and brushed his lips against hers. Then he whispered in her ear.
“Do you know what bunnies eat?” he asked, making her giggle. “You look like a delicious carrot, and I’m starving.”
He kissed the permanent mate mark on her neck and looked at the man who had been bothering her. His smile disappeared, and his body tensed, but he still held onto her waist.
“Everything okay here, guys?” he asked, his voice hard as steel.
“Yes.”
“Fine.”
“We’re good.”
The men turned and vacated the table, and Gabe pulled her across the floor toward the bar. He was the only man she knew who could look deadly with a pair of bunny ears on his head.
“Cash out and put your apron and pad away. I only want you and Tanya to clear for the last hour.”
“Okay,” she said, kissing him on the chin. “Love you.”
“Love you.”
He walked away, and as the hour ticked on, the crowd thinned out.
She and Tanya ran empty glasses and bottles to the bar, and on one of her last rounds, she saw the blond bombshell from Pembrook. Rage tore through her and she raced back to the bar.
“Jared, make me a virgin strawberry daiquiri.”
“You got it, Carrot-top,” Jared said, deadpan.
Even though he hadn’t smiled, his attempt at a joke had amused her.
“Jared, forget the daiquiri,” Gabe said.
“But, I—”
“No,” he said, smiling. “You already got your revenge, now let it go.”
“Fine,” she said, pouting, “but then I need something else to get my mind off the fact that
she
is in
my
bar.”
“Not a problem,” he said. “Lucky, you got this?”
“You know it,” Lucky winked.
“Good.”
He pulled her by the hand across the dance floor and into his office, and she locked the door behind them. They had fifteen minutes until the bar officially closed, but another thirty before all the patrons completely left. Their staff could handle cleaning and locking up.
“You said you had a surprise for me,” he said, reaching for the ears on top of his head.
“Yes, I do, but leave the ears on bunny-boy.”
“You really like the ears?” he asked.
“I like that you wore them for me,” she said, pulling him down for a chaste kiss. “Thank you.”
His costume was simple, but her intent had been to have fun, not humiliate him. He wore jeans, a white t-shirt with the
Wild Bear
logo written in black, and the bunny ears.
“Anything, anytime,” he said, all joking aside. “I love you, baby.”
“I love you, too, my sexy bunny bear.”
She kissed him again, and then pushed him down on the small sofa and straddled his lap. She unveiled his surprise slowly, and before morning, her bunny had enjoyed his carrot in more ways than one.
