Mercer walked to the closed door and knocked lightly before entering.
Danni was in there, looking better than ever.
She had her long hair tied back, and put a finger to her lips, telling Mercer to enter quietly.
She came to him and put her arms around him, and he hugged her, then kissed her.
A year ago, he didn’t think he could be more in love with her, but the last six months had proved him wrong.
“How is he?” Mercer asked.
“If he doesn’t wake up from his nap soon, he’s going to be sleep through his party.”
Mercer went to the crib.
He put his hand on his son’s chest and felt his tiny heartbeat has he slept.
He couldn’t believe their son was already six months old.
They had already started calling him Little Specs, after his and Danni’s friend that had brought them together.
It was probably a weird name for a baby that didn’t wear glasses, but Mercer didn’t care.
This was his family, and his life, and he loved every moment of it.
