THIRTY-ONE

I
T TOOK A
long time for Bob and July to get to the hotel. The old farm road was just as formidable coming back as it was for July going in. They both thought Horatio would be waiting at the airport, but he was nowhere to be seen, so they made their way over to the hotel. Everything seemed to be in order, but July was sure someone had been into the office desk. They were walking over the grounds looking for damage when Horatio caught up with them.

“Everything look okay?” he asked them.

“No storm damage,” July answered, “but someone’s been in our office.”

“I had a little chat with Gator,” Horatio said. “I don’t think you have to worry about that situation anymore. In fact, I told him he would be personally held responsible if anything happened to you.”

“You think he has that kind of power, if the drug cartels are involved?” Bob asked.

Horatio sounded a little doubtful. “He knows everything that goes on here, and he knows his ass is grass if anything happens to you, so I’d say he has an invested interest in keeping you alive.”

“Thanks, Horatio,” July gave him a hug. “But things still have a way of happening in this country. I think we should still go over to Nassau with you and have a talk with Novak.”

Both Novak and Sir Harry were there to meet the helicopter. They shook hands. “Long time no see,” Novak greeted them, “come on into the office and we can talk.”

Bob told them the whole story ending with “Horatio told us this might be a good time to confront this Julio and set up some kind of trap.”

Novak rubbed his face with his hands. “Yes, you’re right, it would be,” he stopped for emphasis, “but as you know Horatio’s retirement party is next week. The problem is I’m in charge of security, and I just don’t have the time or manpower to concentrate on something that would require so much planning. Maybe Sir Harry could help you?”

ir Harry shook his head, “I’ve already retired. The government asked me to stay on for Horatio’s farewell only because I know so many of the people coming. I have another nugget of information that I don’t think even Novak knows yet. Last week the Colombian government took over the compound where Lena lives. They’re going to turn it into their embassy.”

Novak looked rather pale. “I thought Lena had some kind of contract on that property?”

“Not anymore. She’s been put under house arrest. I put a lawyer on to it to see if he can find out what the charges are, but you know how long that can take.”

“Does that mean Julio has diplomatic immunity?” Novak asked.

“Don’t know. That’s the problem with getting involved in something with Julio right now. Best to wait till after Horatio’s little affair is over,” Sir Harry told them.

“Look, the first thing they’re going to hear is that we didn’t come out of the swamps, and that means there’s no need for them to keep Joe’s boy, Tommy, alive.”

Novak put his hands in his pockets and looked out the window. “You always have a way of complicating things don’t you, Bob?”

“I know he’s probably dead, but I have to live with my conscience if I don’t try,” Bob answered.

“Yeah, I guess we all do,” Novak agreed. “Let’s see. My informants say this Julio’s got himself a German girlfriend, and they’re hanging out down at Johnny Canoe’s most nights. Maybe you should confront him there, lots of people around, so he can’t really do anything to you.”

“Tell him you got the drugs here in Nassau, and if he wants them, he’s to name a place and bring the boy. Then you leave, and we’ll hide you for a while. We should be able to put Julio off long enough to get Horatio’s party over with, and then we can concentrate on getting Tommy back.”

“There he is. That’s him over by the dance floor sitting with the dark-haired girl and his two bodyguards. July and I’ll watch from here,” Novak told Bob. “Say your piece and get out. We’ll meet you outside. If there is any trouble, I’ve got four officers outside. They’ll be in here in a flash.”

Bob nodded and headed toward the dance floor. It was a Friday night, and the place was jammed to the rafters. He had to fight his way across the dance floor to where Julio was sitting. None of them saw him coming until he yelled, “Hey, Julio, you sniveling little prick. How are you?” The two bodyguards jumped up in front of Julio and began to push Bob away.

“My name is Green, and I’ve got some shit for you.”

Now it was Julio who jumped up, “Just a minute, guys. I want to hear what this prick has to say.” The bodyguards backed off, leaving Julio and Bob face-to-face on the dance floor.

Julio usually wasn’t this brave, but he had a girl to impress, plus he had a great coke buzz going on. “What can I do for you, Mr. Green?”

Novak and July watched from the bar as the two men began to push each other; the dancers backed away from the two men as they came to blows and finally went down rolling around on the floor still pummeling each other. Novak immediately was on his cell phone, and a minute later the police were pulling the two men apart. July was pleasantly surprised to find herself excited and proud; Bob had certainly held his own. She wanted to go to Bob, but Novak held her back.

“What will they do with them?” July asked.

“Throw them in jail,” Novak told her. “Julio will be bailed out in an hour, but that’s probably the safest place for Bob to spend the night. We’ll bail him out in the morning.”

Julio was on top of Karla. She could tell by his strokes he was ready to come, and she wasn’t ready for that yet. The fight had exited her, and she’d had to wait for over an hour for him to get out of jail. She had made the best of the time snorting a little coke and dressing down to wearing nothing but black fishnet stockings.

When he got home, he was ready for some coke and action. Karla had wanted some romance; Julio just wanted to get fucked. It wasn’t that Karla didn’t like her sex rough and ready; she needed to be satisfied, and his coming now just wouldn’t cut it.

“Bring it up to me, baby,” she moaned.

This was what he wanted to hear from her more than anything else. After the first time, he’d tried to beat her into doing it to him, but she was as big as he was, and he learned that she was stronger and tougher. If he wanted anything from her, he had better earn it.

Julio didn’t like this part of the relationship, but what she did to him made him come back for more, and that more was about to happen to him now. He moved so his cock was just over her face. She raised her head and ran her tongue along his balls then up the underside of his cock. She admired the long shaft; it was disappointing the head wasn’t bigger, but it was perfect for what she was about to do. She put it in her mouth, positioned it with her tongue, and then swallowed it. She could feel Julio’s body stiffen, and a huge groan escaped his lips.

The sensation was so intense his body locked up. He wanted to come, but somehow that was locked up too, and the pressure seemed to back up into his body. He held it in there until the pleasure he felt became overwhelming and he had to pull it out. He felt himself breathe again; everything in his body was focused on his cock, never had he felt so hard. Gradually his muscles began to relax, and he began to settle down on top of her then she swallowed it again.

Instantly, his body turned into a board above her, his muscles screaming with pleasure. This time when he pulled it out, she gagged a little bit making him feel vindicated. “Fuck me baby, make me come,” he heard her tell him. He still felt overcome, but his cock seemed to be on a mission. It needed to find a home, and he slid down her body till it surrounded itself in something wet and warm. He began ramming it into her, watching her big boobs bounce with every stroke.

It was her that was overcome now. The sensation was hers to enjoy. Wave after wave of pleasure invaded her body. She heard herself scream, making his stroke even more intense. Just as she thought she was going to pass out, he shot up into her, and both of them went limp in a pile of flesh. Julio lay on top of her completely exhausted. She ran her fingers through his hair; she was in love with her Latin stud, and she didn’t want to let him go.

“Let’s run away together, Julio.”

Julio raised his head. “We talked about this before, what would we live on?”

he continued to play with his hair. “What if I told you I could get us more money than we could spend in a lifetime?”

“Yeah, and how are you going to get that much money?”

“Steal it,” she told him.

Julio chuckled, “Who are you going to find that has that much money to steal?”

“A lady named Lena,” Karla answered.

Now she had Julio’s full attention. “How are you going to do that?”

Karla took Julio’s sudden interest to mean he might think she was serious. “That’s why I’m here, Julio. My boss has someone on the inside who has this Lena’s passwords to her computers. I’m going to hack into her system tomorrow night and drain her accounts.”

“Then what do you do with the money?” Julio wanted to know.

“It goes to an untraceable account through the Caymans,” Karla told him. “But,” she touched her fingers to his lips, “I know the account number. If my boss and his helper were to disappear, that money would become ours.”

“Interesting,” Julio felt himself becoming hard. “How much do you think there is?”

“Oh, a billion or more.”

“That fucking Jon,” Julio thought to himself, “and he wants me to live on nothing.” He was filled with excitement as he climbed off the bed and stood in front of Karla showing off his hard cock. “Here’s to our being rich.”

“I’m jealous,” Karla pouted, reaching out with her hand to admire it, “money makes you hornier than I do.”

Julio left Karla sleeping and paced the floor. He had to be sure he handled this right. The one priority over everything else was to get even with Lena. He picked up the phone and dialed his brother; eventually he came on the line.

“Yes, Julio, what is it this time?”

“Look, I know you don’t think I do anything here, but I’ve just uncovered that Lena is going to steal your money.”

“Lena’s not in the position to steal anything, Julio, go back and sleep it off.”

“No, no, this is real, Jon. I’ve been sleeping with this girl, and she told me how they’re going to do it.” Jon didn’t answer so Julio went on, “She and Lena made this plan. She’s going to hack into Lena’s computer system and clean out the accounts and put them into a Swiss bank account. That way she’ll have something to bargain for her release.”

Jon was still skeptical, “There’s no way she can get into the system. We have too much security.”

“Lena gave her all the passwords. This girl says it’s a piece of cake.”

“Well, I guess there’s only one way to find out, isn’t there, Julio?”

“I know where they’re going to meet,” Julio told him. “Once they’re together, I’ll look after them before they can do anything.”

Jon was quiet for a moment. “No, let them take the money. I can have the Swiss make it look like they accessed the account, and then they can freeze the money. Do you have any way of knowing when they think the transaction will be complete?”

“I’ll have the girl wired,” Julio told him.

“Good,” Jon said. “Get rid of them as soon as you know the transaction is complete. Looks like that big cock of yours might pay off yet, Julio.”

Julio hung up the phone; he couldn’t believe his ears. Brilliant, just brilliant. Jon would never suspect a thing. The money was going into a Cayman account, not a Swiss account, and Jon would think Lena hid it. Fuck, he was smart. Now Jon would be short of money, and he could say to him, “I have a little bit, Jon, but I think you should learn to live within your means,” and see how he liked it.

Julio walked back to the bedroom. He took a big hit of coke; damn, he was getting hard again. “Wonder if she’d swallow me one last time?” He took his cock and began rubbing Karla’s face with it. She turned her face away, but he just shrugged. “I guess with that much money, I can hire lots of girls to swallow this piece of meat and on my terms too,” he thought as he jammed his cock up Karla’s ass.

Before he could begin to enjoy himself, Karla pulled away and gave him a kick with her leg that sent him to the floor. “ If you only want to satisfy yourself, then whack yourself off.” She left the room.

H
ELLO. IS THAT
you, Henekie?” Yes was the answer.

“Yes, well, Krugman here. Should have listened to you about the hurricane, Henekie, but anyway, I’ll be flying into Nassau tonight around ten o’clock. Can you pick me up?”

“Yes,” he replied..

“Have you talked to Karla today?”

“No,” was Henekie’s answer.

“I couldn’t get her either. Tell her we’re on for tomorrow night. The Caymans are up and running.”

“Okay,” Henekie answered. “See you at ten o’clock then.”

Henekie picked Krugman up at the airport and took him over to his hotel. “You’ll be at the shop tomorrow if I need you?”

“I’ll be there all day until we finish tomorrow night,” Henekie told him.

“All right, I’m sure Karla’s ready to go.” Krugman gave him a wink. “Hot stuff, isn’t she?”

“I wouldn’t know,” Henekie told him.

The next afternoon, Henekie got a call from Krugman saying Karla told him she was ready and they’d come down to the shop that evening. That fucker’s going to steal a billion dollars and instead of paying attention to what he’s doing, he’s more interested in getting fucked.

Henekie was right; Krugman was pissed at Karla for not showing up at the hotel that night. But in the morning when she did finally did show up, she had some soothing coke with her, and once she began working on his cock, he was her little sugar daddy again.

When Krugman and Karla finally did show up at the shop, it was almost midnight. Karla went right to work.

“Is there anything you need?” Henekie wanted to know.

“Is your Internet access up and running?”

“Yes, this is a commercial area, so it’s as good as it gets in Nassau,” Henekie apologized.

“That’s why we came so late.” She seemed to know Henekie was agitated. “The line won’t be busy, and hopefully Lena’s in bed.” Karla looked up at Henekie as if to reassure him. “The logistics of doing this were well-planned before we left Germany, it’s just a case of going in, finding the main account, and transferring it into cyberspace, which means Lena won’t be able to follow the money.”

Henekie decided Karla knew what she was doing, but Krugman was another story. He just stood there with a stupid look on his face; Henekie could tell he was higher than a kite. “Where’s the Krugman I knew that planned everything down to a T?” Now he’s celebrating before the transaction is complete. It was pretty obvious he had committed the cardinal sin in this business; he was a puppy in love.

They stood listening to Karla as she gave them a blow-by-blow description of going through the accounts. “Aha, Lena you bitch, you’re on there trying to fuck me up, aren’t you? Tough titty, there’s nothing you can do. I’m too close for you to stop me. This is it, I’ve got the account,” Karla squealed.

Then her tune changed to frustration. “What? It’s empty. How can that be?” She began rapidly beating on her keyboard. “I can’t find the money,” she screamed. “Where did it go? Julio, you bastard. You told on me, didn’t you?”

Krugman was trying to calm her down, but Henekie knew it was time to get out. He opened the back exit door and ran. He didn’t get far before the blast flattened him.

Julio had found the missile launcher one day when he was snooping through the main house looking to see if his father had hid any money there. He didn’t find any money, but he found this piece of treasure hidden in up in the attic. He played with it all the time rubbing the barrel and dreaming he was like the guys he saw in the movies blowing away everything in sight. One of his bodyguards said he had learned how to use them in the Cuban army. “Very good, made in Russia,” he had told him. Tonight they were sitting in a car across the street from the shop where Karla said she would be. They were listening to the conversation inside when Julio heard Karla start her rant.

“Give me the launcher,” he excitedly told the bodyguard.

“Okay, but don’t put your finger on the trigger until you’re ready to fire,” the bodyguard told Julio, knowing how jittery he got when he was excited.

Julio was sure Karla had finished the transaction and was putting on an act to fool the two men with her. He stuck the launcher out the window and pulled the trigger. Little did Julio know that the missile was armor piercing. It went through the front window and then through the wall separating the office from the workshop. It probably would have gone through the back wall too, but as luck would have it, the missile hit a solid steel anvil on a workbench detonating it. The blast blew out the block walls leaving only the solid concrete pillars on the corners holding up the building. Julio could have sat there all night admiring what he’d done, but the two men with him knew enough to get the hell out of there.

It was one of those cement pillars that protected Henekie from the full force of the blast. He managed to get to his feet, but the world was spinning around dropping him to his knees.

“Okay,” he tried to tell himself, “am I all here?” He checked his arms and legs; they seemed to be in place.

“The one thing I can’t do is stay here,” he told himself. He struggled to his feet, fighting off the nausea; he began to stumble across the back alley. He’d parked the car down a side street off the alley, and in his mind that’s where he had to get to. His head was like a hollow drum, and he realized he couldn’t hear anything.

Where was the car? Why had he parked it so far away? His mind tried to make him stop and lay down, but somehow he knew he had to keep going. He leaned against a car as some people came rushing down the side street to see what the blast was about. They paid no attention to Henekie, probably used to seeing drunks at this time of night. There it was—Lena’s car. He opened the door and got in behind the steering wheel. His intention was to drive away but instead passed out, falling across the seat.
