Har har har,

I teased back. A thread of
excitement raced through me as Logan bounced up and down in her seat. I
examined the map slowly lifting my finger.

Watch
out Camden City, here we come.

Amen Cam, amen.

Logan put the car into
drive.

Right
or left?

she asked as she came to a
stop at the gas station exit.

First music, then
directions,

I
said as I combed through my list of songs on my MP3 and found the one I was
looking for. The sultry voice of Nina Simone came through the speakers, as I
sang along.

Birds flying high you know
how I feel. Sun in the sky you know how I feel. Breeze                   driftin'
on by you know how I feel. It's a new dawn. It

s a
new day. It

s a new life. For                 me. And
I'm feeling good.

The trumpet blared and then the piano
sounded right as Logan said,

Feeling Good
.
What a good selection Cam.

We continued to belt out the rest of the
lyrics. Both of us pretended that we were Nina Simone.
It

s a
new dawn. It

s a new day. It

s a
new life. For me. And I

m feeling good.

I took a cleansing breath and I let the
song wash over me. The weight of the last few hours melted away as we drove
west to Camden City. A small town right over the state line that would
hopefully become our new home. A home, something we had not had in a while.

Feeling good?

Logan smirked as the song
ended. She could be such a dork.

Much better,

I replied.

When we get to town we will
go straight to a real estate company and see what rentals are available,

she said as she looked
between the road and me.

Seriously?

I questioned.

Yeah,

she paused.

I
think so. Let

s really make a go at this town. No more staying
at motels that rent by the hour.

Ok.

That same thread of
excitement turned into a current that coursed along my skin.

I
can

t
wait.

After stopping at the first real estate
office we came across and then McDonalds, Logan led us down Camden City

s
main street and across old railroad tracks before entering a little
neighborhood that had cookie cutter duplexes for several blocks in every
direction you looked.

Pull over,

I hollered as I slid the
cassette that allowed us to listen to my MP3 into the car

s
tape player.

Oh Cam,

Logan exhaled, putting her
hand to her chest.

You scared the shit out of
me.

Oh relax Drama Queen,

I teased, scanning my
player for the right song.

Found it,

I uttered as clapping
filled the car and

On Top of the World

by Imagine Dragons came on.

Logan and I both danced in our seats
and then sang my favorite part at the top of our lungs.

Cause I

m
on top of the world,

ay. I

m
on top of the world,

ay. Waiting on this for a              while
now. Paying my dues to the dirt. I

ve
been waiting to smile,

ay. Been holding it in                 for
a while,

ay. Take you with me if I can. Been dreaming
of this since a child. I

m on                    top
of the world.

It became a contest as Logan got louder
and I followed with each word until we were screaming and singing and laughing.

We got back on the road and immediately
turned down a quiet street, pulling into the duplex

s
driveway. As Logan threw the car into park, I jumped out and let the lyrics
follow me up the driveway. I could still hear Logan singing and that brought a
smile to my face. So this was what hope felt like and I loved it. When the song
ended Logan turned the car off and joined me by the front door.

When was the last time we
actually had an address that did not have a room number attached?

I asked as Logan put the
key in the lock.

When we lived in that awful
trailer.

She laughed and I joined
in.

That

s
right,

I agreed.

That
place was awful.

Yeah.

Her voice trailed off as
she walked through the front door and took in her surroundings.

Thank
God,

she mumbled as I followed
her in.

It

s
actually really nice,

I commented as Logan disappeared down the
hall.

A real kitchen,

she called out.

Wow,

I murmured as I watched her
dart up the stairs. I looked around taking in the brown couch, Lazy Boy, and
TV. The pictures behind the couch were of generic beach scenes. One had to be a
sunset at the beach, while the other looked to be at a lake or river. I walked
around the coffee table and down the hallway. The kitchen was small but functional
with a table in the corner and three chairs around it.

What do you think?

I jumped from Logan

s
words not realizing she had come back downstairs.

Geesh, you gave me a heart
attack,

I shrieked, earning me
another laugh from Logan.

Now who is the Drama Queen?

Still you,

I joked as I squeezed past
her and went back to the living room.

Ha ha ha,

said Logan.

Why
don

t
you go upstairs and pick a bedroom?

A wicked smile spread
across my lips which Logan caught as I raced upstairs.

I want the biggest one,

I hollered down the steps.
The second floor had two bedrooms next to each other and a bathroom at the end
of the hall. I walked into the first one and it immediately made me think of
Logan. It was nautical themed with a navy blue comforter and matching pillows.
It even had two throw pillows with anchors on them. Not really my style but one
hundred percent Logan.

I

ll
take the second bedroom,

I yelled down the steps before I walked down
the hallway and into the second bedroom. It was fucking perfect and my favorite
color. The walls were a light green color and the comforter, no it was a quilt,
was a patchwork pattern with different color greens running throughout it. It
had a small walk-in closet and matching dark wood furniture.

Perfect, right?

Logan asked. I turned to
find her leaning against the door frame. I nodded in agreement.

Help
me clean out the car?

I nodded again.

You
okay?

I smiled genuinely at my sister letting
her know her concern was unwarranted.

I
am actually better than fine,

I said and for the first time in a long time
I meant it.

Tank

I

m
fine,

I said for the hundredth
fucking time.
You are what you eat.
I swore that statement was true
because Colton was becoming a pussy. I knew he was just checking in with me but
damn. Just because I did not want my dick sucked by some Hellhounds sweet butt
did not mean something was wrong. Yeah the nightmares were back but who the
fuck cared; I had been living with them most of my life. Pussy was not going to
make that shit go away. I mean Jesus, look at Colton with his head buzzed to
his fucking scalp because he could not keep it in his pants.

I know, but when was the last
time you got laid motherfucker?

Colton asked as he topped off his gas tank.
He was like a dog with a damn bone.

Why the fuck do you care?

Someone hasn

t
been laid in a while,

hollered Trigger.

That
is fucking rough. Just yesterday I was dick deep in sweet butt.

Nobody cares Trigger,

Knox groaned.

Jesus H Christ. Enough
already. I got some last week.

You mean that blow job in
the middle of the clubhouse last weekend?

Colton wondered as he
mounted his bike.

You guys are worse than
women gossiping all the fucking time,

I complained.

Who

s
gossiping?

asked
Worm.

You
did it in front of all the brothers in the middle of a fucking party.

Hey man, just trying to
make sure your dick didn

t shrivel up, because those
lips that were wrapped around you have been wrapped around everyone,

explained Colton.

Oh, don

t
talk about Wendy like that,

Knox teased.

No Winny,

interrupted Worm.

No,

argued Trigger.

You
are both wrong, it

s Wanda.

What-the-fuck-ever,

I yelled, making all my
brothers laugh their asses off.

Let

s
roll.

Colton effectively ended
the conversation when he started his bike. Once his pipes were singing, all our
bikes joined in as Colton pulled out of the gas station with me and Knox
side-by-side, followed by Worm and Trigger.

A few hours later we pulled into our
hometown of Camden City. I saw Trigger peel off first, followed by Knox. Worm
sped up and took Knox

s place next to me as we
flanked Colton through the city streets. Right before Colton

s
neighborhood, Worm gave me a quick salute as he turned down his street. I
scanned Colton

s street as we pulled onto it. Happy to see
his house where I knew I was welcomed no matter what. The unexpected sight of a
car in the driveway next to Colton

s place
meant that Amber, our brother Tru

s
wife

s
twin sister, finally rented out the other side.

Movement by the old car brought my
attention to the most beautiful female I had ever laid eyes on. Her strawberry
blonde locks framed her perfect face. My dick stood at attention as my eyes
wandered up and down her tight little body. A tiny pair of black running shorts
held onto curves that went on for days, while her shirt hugged her perky
breasts.
The perfect handful.
Colton and I parked the bikes in his driveway.
We dismounted at the same time and Colton adjusted himself, showing me that he
was just as affected as I was.
