Inga stroked his bruised cheek. “You make it sound so easy.”
“It is easy if we want it to be,” Harlan replied. “Men and women are meant to be together, you know that.”
Inga sighed against his chest. “I suppose that is true. I wil do my best to learn to trust you.”
Happiness swel ed deep within Harlan’s chest. “Then wil you take me as your mate?”
“I wil .”
“Then that is al the vow I need. I love you, Inga.”
She looked up at him and he realized he final y held his dream in his arms and that it was even better than he had dream in his arms and that it was even better than he had ever imagined. He bent his head and kissed her hard on the mouth.
