“Yes, sounds like a good idea.” I embraced Trevor from behind.

“Hey! Do you have any plans right now? I have a few hours before my meeting.”

“I was going to meet up with Amber later, but nothing right now.”

“Alright, go get dressed.”

“Why? Where are we going?” I slid out from behind Trevor and climbed out of bed.

“Don’t worry. You won’t be disappointed. Go on now.” Trevor smiled and playfully swatted my bottom. I giggled in delight. I grabbed my suitcase and made my way to the bathroom.

I closed the bathroom door behind me and rifled through my suitcase to find my toiletries, when my phone slipped out and fell on the floor. I picked it up and remembered Christoff’s unanswered texts. I powered my phone back on to find three new texts, all from Christoff. He said that he had been getting restless from not seeing me for so long, and that he had been having dreams about me all week. He also said he wouldn’t be able to get any more work done unless he was able to see me. As I read his texts I thought back to all of the times we were together and how his tall, chiseled body and his ultra-masculine confidence completely consumed me in a way that I had never experienced before. I’m a strong, independent woman, so it’s rare that I can find a man that is alpha enough to allow me to feel feminine. Christoff is that man and then some. I loved how his alpha male take-charge personality allowed me to relax and let go. I had never experienced anything quite like it before. Christoff’s last text said that he would be in L.A. tonight and that I had to meet him and he wasn’t taking no for an answer. I texted him back, calling him an entitled little shit, and admonishing him for not considering the fact that I may already have plans. He simply wrote back:

*Stop with the games. I know you’ll b
e there. 8pm*

And he gave me the address to where he’d be staying. I felt all my blood rush to the warm spot between my legs. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to neutralize the unwelcome sensations I was having. I tossed my phone back into my suitca
se without responding. My mind was racing with a million different thoughts as I showered and got dressed. I was giddy with anticipation, wondering what Trevor had planned for the day, but my conscience was wrestling with whether I should meet up with Christoff later that night. I never stopped thinking about him since the moment I met him, and apparently he continued to have similar thoughts about me. I wondered, should I come clean and reveal my dilemma to Trevor? By the time I finished getting ready I decided against it.

When I emerged from the bathroom, wearing a dark denim skirt, brown knee-boots and a knitted burnt-orange top, Trevor was waiting for me, dressed in black jeans, a fitted Nine Inch Nails t-shirt and a black leather jacket. Some of his dar
k hair escaped from the black skull cap he was wearing and fell around the base of his neck.

“Well don’t you look smashing!” He smiled as I walked over to him.

“Thank you.” I blushed. He grabbed a dark pair of sunglasses out of his jacket pocket and put them on his clear, ivory face. He almost always wore a cap and sunglasses when we were out in public during the day, so that people would be less likely to recognize him.

“So Giavanna, have you ever been shopping on Rodeo Drive?”

“Window shopping, yes, but I have never actually bought anything on Rodeo. I do most of my shopping back home in Chicago on Michigan Avenue. I love the Magnificent Mile, but of course it doesn’t even come close to Rodeo!” I clapped my hands together like a giddy teenage cheerleader.

“Well there is a first time for everything. We’re hitting Rodeo Drive baby!” He picked me up and spun me around.

“Oh Trevor, you don’t have to do that. We’ve already had so many amazing nights out on the town... you put me up in this amazing hotel suite... you don’t have to take me shopping.”

“But I want to. Consider this an early Christmas gift.”

“Christmas isn’t for another two months.”

“Belated birthday gift?”

“Fine. That works.” I giggled. I needed some new clothes if I was going to continue to go to five-star establishments with Trevor.

I was so giddy with excitement. Shopping on Rodeo Drive with a billionaire, music mogul, rock star

this kind of thing wasn’t supposed to happen in real life. I’d day-dreamed about it since I was in junior high, but I never thought it would become a reality. I was quite literally living the dream. Dinners at the hottest Beverly Hills and Studio City restaurants, staying in the presidential suite at a luxury hotel, and now shopping on Rodeo Drive! I could really get used to this, I thought.

We strolled hand-in-hand, perusing high-end boutiques. We stopped in several stores that I had only seen on reality shows, and had never set foot in in real life. It was surreal. Not only was I trying on garments that cost more than two months rent, but Trevor went on at length about how beautiful I looked in everything that I tried on. Trevor bought a designer dress shirt and a pair of formal slacks for himself, and he bought three dresses and a pair of shoes for me. The total came to over seven thousand dollars, and Trevor didn’t even flinch. I was blown away by his generosity. The chemistry between us was unwavering. We got along effortlessly. And he was so warm and affectionate toward me. If he wasn’t holding my hand he was holding me close in a passionate embrace or covering my face with kisses.

The late morning was winding down into afternoon and it was almost time for me to meet Amber, and for Trevor to meet with his attorneys. As we were passing Harry Winston, Trevor nudged
me and pointed at some jewelry in the display window.

“Hey, maybe the next time we come out, we’ll stop in there,” Trevor teased.

“Right, prince charming.” I giggled and playfully shoved him away.

“The way things are going with us, you never know.” He pul
led me close and gave me a brief kiss on the lips. “What size ring do you wear?”

“Hey now, don’t go getting a girl’s hopes up.” I smacked his bicep. He laughed and kissed me again.

“A princess-cut diamond would look beautiful on you. Well of course it would, because everything looks beautiful on you.” Trevor seemed to be thinking aloud. “And you’re going to look so cute with a bun in the oven.” He playfully caressed my belly. Part of me was swept away by the thought of playing house with a stunningly gorgeous, irresistibly charismatic billionaire, but there was something about Trevor’s comments that made me uneasy. In that moment I was forced to realize, I wasn’t quite ready to get married and have kids, even if it was with prince charming. I lightly swatted his hand away from my belly.

“Okay, now Trevor,” I playfully scolded.

“Alright, we have to get going. My meeting is soon. I’m not looking forward to it, but I’ve got to handle this. Where are you meeting Amber?”

“We’re grabbing sushi in West Hollywood.”

“My meeting is in West Hollywood. I’ll drop you off. But first I have to stop back by my place to grab some documents. I’ll take you with me, and you can finally see my palace.” Trevor flashed a prideful grin.

“Awesome!” I gushed.

“We’ll just stop by for a moment, get-in-and-get-out, so we can beat traffic. Wait, do you think I should change into a suit? This is a formal meeting.”

“Nah, aren’t
you
the one paying
them
?”

“You’re right. Fuck it. They work for me not the other way around. Why should I have to pl
ay dress up?” We both laughed.

“Exactly. I love how you play by your own rules.” I kissed him on the cheek.

We drove up a windy, steep incline to get to the gated entrance of Trevor’s Hollywood Hills mansion. It looked like a palace. After the gates opened we had to drive back even further to park at the end of the driveway outside the three-car garage. I climbed out of Trevor’s candy apple red Range Rover Land Rover, and into the California sun. I felt like I was in a commercial. The property was immaculate. Palms trees and colorful flowers adorned the sprawling lawn. The house was just as impressive as the landscaping. It was a gorgeous Spanish style home with a circular second story balcony. My mouth dropped open. I was in awe.

“Come Giavanna, we haven’t
got much time.” Trevor gently tugged at my hand and led me through the spacious garage. It looked like a car show room and it was air conditioned. The white Maybach Landaulet was in one space. There was an empty space for the red Range Rover we were driving, and in the third space was a car I had only seen at car shows with my guy friends. The Ferrari LaFerrari. There were only four hundred ninety-nine in existence, and you couldn’t just go to a dealer and get one

you had to be invited to purchase one. Trevor’s was bright yellow with a black interior. I wasn’t that into cars, but my heart raced at the sight of the limited edition Ferrari.

I snatched my hand away from Trevor and clutched my chest. “What the fuck, Trevor?! Why didn’t tell me you had a Ferrar
i... no, not just
a
Ferrari,
the
Ferrari La Ferrari? How did you get one of these? Oh my gawd!” I was completely losing my shit.

“They called me and offered it to me. Even though it cost over a million I jumped on it. I had to have it. It’s so fast and sex
y too.” Trevor replied coolly. “The ladies love it. And I see you’re no exception.” Trevor leaned in and kissed me on the lips as he stifled a chuckle. “I would let you sit in it, but we don’t have time. I have to get to my meeting and you have your lunch. But I’ll take you for a spin in it some time. We will see how much you like the Ferrari when I take you from sitting still to one hundred twenty miles per hour, in less than seven seconds. You’ll probably be scared out of your mind.” Trevor laughed.

“No!
I can handle it.” I squealed and slapped Trevor’s bicep. I was just guessing. I had never been in such a fast car in my life.

“Come in. I will show you something cool really quickly, then we have to go.”

“Okay!” I obediently scurried through the door that led from the garage to the kitchen. Trevor grabbed my hand and led me through several rooms and to the back of the house. I didn’t even have time to take everything in. The floors were made of white marble, and the high ceilings were adorned with crystal chandeliers. Trevor led me to a floor-to-ceiling window pane that was more like a glass wall than a window. It stretched the length of the room that looked like a room for entertaining guests. There was a sectional couch, and a love seat that faced a dining area. The window was behind the dining room table. I walked up to the window and looked out past a spacious cobblestone patio and fireplace. Trevor’s property was on a steep incline and it overlooked the entire city of Los Angeles. It was like Trevor was king, looking over his kingdom from his palace.

“Watch this.” Trevor grabbed a remote from off the table and hit a button. The glass wall retracted into the floor, and suddenly there was nothing standing between me, the warm Southern California breeze, and
the stunning view of Los Angeles. I felt like I was literally standing above the city looking down with no barriers.

“Wow!” I stepped further out onto the patio. Trevor wrapped his arms around me from behind and kissed me on the cheek.

“You know, sometimes I take these things for granted because I don’t have anyone to share them with. I love how excited and enthusiastic you get. Thanks for appreciating all my cool little toys. It reminds me to be grateful. Relax. Enjoy the view. I’m going to go grab some paper work from my office then we have to head out.”

I stood in awe of the breathtaking scene before me. After a few moments I turned around and faced the social area. I was equally awestruck by the brilliant interior of Trevor’s palace in the Hills. I took
a step forward and I was inside the dining area but still technically outside because of the retractable glass pane. This was about the coolest thing I’d ever seen. I couldn’t wait to tell Amber about it. I felt like I was on MTV Cribs, only better. I took a deep breath and took it all in.

Trevor dropped me off right in time for me to meet Amber for a quick lunch, before she had to run off to a meeting with her agent about possibly making a cameo in an upcoming movie. When I arrived Amber was waiting on me. Her honey blonde hair was pulled back in an elegant bun, and her olive green eyes were covered by dark, over-sized sunglasses. She had on a beautiful tan dress that tied around the waist and flared out at the bottom. It reminded me of a trench coat. She looked super Hollywood. She was sitting at a table in the far back corner. We embraced each other when I arrived.

“Girl, where have you been? I haven’t seen you for most of your vacation!”

“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you!”

“Try me. Wait. Don’t
tell me. Have you been running around town with that Alpha Deity guy? Brandon told me you bumped into him when you guys went to The Catacombs last weekend.”

“Yeah, that night was pretty wild.”

I filled Amber in on everything that happened that night, from Trevor asking me out, to watching him and Christina hook up, to Vin trying to assault me. I leaned in close when I told her about how Christina cheated on Trevor for Vin. Amber loved gossip.
