He helped her stand and then took her mouth in a thorough kiss, leaning forward until she was planted against the wall behind her and the water from the shower sprayed over their heads.

Rafe had to force himself to stop and grab the shampoo. They engaged in an interesting dance of sorts, washing each other and themselves.

He couldn’t keep his hands off her slick skin, paying close attention to her breasts until she finally batted his hands away and grabbed his wrists. “Stop that. I can’t think when you do that.”

“That’s the idea, baby.” He wiggled free of her useless clutches and cupped both breasts in his hands. “I love touching you. Everywhere.”

“I can see that, but if you don’t stop, I’m going to melt onto the floor and go down the drain with the water.”

Rafe flipped the water off and pushed the curtain aside. He reached for the towels and handed her one. As they stepped out into the crowded space, he watched her dry herself and wring out her hair with the towel. He could stare at her for hours, and he fully intended to, starting now.

After weeks of longing to get her naked, he didn’t intend for her to put clothes back on until Monday morning. And that was still under negotiation in his mind. He wasn’t convinced it would be safe for her to go to work this week.

When Katy passed him to leave the bathroom, he grabbed her hand on the way by. “Where are you going?”

“To put some clothes on.”

“I like you naked.”

“I can’t stay naked all day, Rafe.”

“Why not?”

She rolled her eyes.

Rafe released her and pulled on a pair of jeans as she left the room. He followed right behind her, still buttoning the top. He watched as she dumped her suitcase on the bed and rummaged through the disaster caused by the asshole who’d broken into his house and strewn clothing all over the place. Katy hadn’t straightened out the result yet.

She pulled a tank over her head without bothering with a bra. She extracted panties and stepped into them also. Then she turned to him. “Okay?”

He smiled. At least she hadn’t turned into an Eskimo. He’d feared she’d put on a sweater and long pants or something.

Rafe pulled her into the living area and sat her on the couch.

She crossed her arms and stared at him, her legs pinched together. “It’s chilly in here and I feel self-conscious.”

Rafe knelt in front of her and grabbed her arms. He parted them and set them at her sides and then pushed her knees apart.

“So, how does this work?” she asked.

“How does what work?”

“This dominance thing. I mean do you intend for me to be submissive all the time, like twenty-four-seven? Or is it a part-time deal.”

“Ah. We have to negotiate that.”

“Well, I’m not in any sort of role right now, and yet you’re still pushing me around.”

Was she miffed? He didn’t think so. Just curious. He sat next to her on the couch and took her hand. He waited for her to face him and then spoke. “So let’s negotiate.”

“Okay.”

“And I want you to understand that negotiating is a two-way street and we can renegotiate at any time. You aren’t locked into anything from one conversation.”

“Okay. Are you afraid I’ll run?”

“Yes.” He nodded. “I want this to work. I’m a Dom and I can’t change that. But I want to be sure I’m meeting your needs and not pushing you too far. If I do anything that warrants discussion, I want you to tell me immediately. I can only judge your arousal. When we aren’t engaged in anything sexual, I won’t know the inside of your mind.” He played with her fingers, glancing down at where he held them.

She nodded.

“So, how about this. I’ll propose an arrangement and you tell me if there’s anything about it you can’t live with?”

“Okay.” Her voice was small.

“First of all, I want you to know that I’ve never had a submissive living with me. So this is as new to me as it is to you. That part anyway.”

“I’m not really living with you. It’s temporary. If they catch Bobby Crowder I need to go back to my condo and resume my life.”

Rafe paused. He’d thought about that, and from that angle he selfishly hoped they never caught her stalker. “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

She lifted one brow. “You want me to move in with you? We’ve only known each other a few weeks.”

“Seems like longer.”

“True. But it isn’t.”

“Let’s not worry about that now. I propose we confine the submission to when we’re at home and alone. I doubt you would be willing to make it publically known that you’re submissive yet.”

“All the time we’re at home? I don’t think I can do that.” She shook her head. “How about the bedroom?”

“We aren’t in the bedroom now?”

“And I’m not really submitting now.” She glanced down. “With the exception of a severe lack of clothing. This is new territory for me. I can barely wrap my mind around it. I need some time to disconnect. I can’t jump in and do your bidding all the time.”

“That’s reasonable.” He agreed. “Look. I don’t want to scare you off. But I do want you to experience everything submission has to offer. How did you feel when you woke up this morning and found yourself restrained and blindfolded?”

“Hornier than hell.”

“See?”

She rolled her eyes again. “I’m not denying you make me more aroused than I’ve ever been. But I don’t want to lose myself in the meantime.”

“I promise to take a pulse of the relationship every day in the beginning. I want you to be happy. I want you so bad, it hurts.” He leaned toward her and then climbed up onto the couch on his knees, inching forward until she lay back and he hovered over her. He kissed her, angling his head to one side and making sure she knew how much he wanted her. He pressed his cock against her panties.

When he pulled away, her lips were swollen, and her eyes were glazed. She gripped his biceps. “You make me lose my mind.”

“Good. Then we’re even.” He sat back.

His cell rang and he jumped up to grab it from the table. He turned to watch Katy as he answered. It was Rider.

“Hey, Rider.”

“Hi. Listen, your place is a total disaster—”

“I’m aware of that. I was there when we found it,” he teased.

“Yeah yeah. Well, some of us are here to meet with the security people.”

“You managed to find someone to come over there on a Sunday?”

“Yeah. It wasn’t too hard. They work weekends. Anyway, do you mind if we get a team to come clean up the mess?”

“Of course not. I’d appreciate it.”

“’K. I called my lady and she said she could get several people to come handle it.”

“Great. Thanks, man. I owe you one.”

“No you don’t. We’re a team. We do shit for each other. Someday I’ll need you for something and you’ll be there in a heartbeat.”

“Yes, I will.” Rafe hung up the phone. He headed back toward the couch. “Some of the guys are having an alarm installed and getting a cleaning crew to straighten out the mess.”

“That’s nice of them.”

“They’re good people.”

“The Fight Club.” She grinned.

“Joe tell you that?”

“He did.”

Katy looked away. “I have to work. I’m getting further behind by the day. Forget making partner. At this point I just want to not get fired.”

“They aren’t going to fire you while some madman is on the loose. Besides, you haven’t missed any work. Not yet anyway.”

“Yeah, but I don’t normally accomplish as little as I have since I met you.” She stood and padded over where she’d set her computer bag and heaved it from the ground. When she returned and settled on the couch once more she put her feet on the coffee table and pulled out the laptop.

Rafe watched her. He leaned back and soaked in every move she made, memorizing the way she tucked her hair behind her ears, the way she held her mouse, the way she chewed on the corner of her lip while she furrowed her brow in thought.

Eventually she looked up. “You going to stare at me all day?”

“If I can, yes.”

“I can’t think with you doing that. It’s disconcerting.” She swatted at his leg. “Go find something to do. Surely you have work also? Or play a computer game.”

“Nah, this is more fun.”

She pointed at him. “Go away.”

Rafe snickered. “Fine.” He lifted himself off the couch and wandered across the room.

She ducked her head back toward the computer, but he continued to watch her from behind. She was so sexy. Even working she made him horny. He didn’t know how he got so fucking lucky meeting her, but he thanked his lucky stars.

Chapter Eighteen

Katy turned her head toward Rafe a few hours later. He sat at the table, fiddling with his mouse. She thought she saw rows of numbers on his screen. Her eyes were blurry from attempting to work, but she hadn’t accomplished much. She couldn’t stop thinking about that asshole out there somewhere waiting for her to make a wrong move so he could grab her.

What did he intend to do? Kill her? Rape her? She shivered.

“You okay?”

She jerked her gaze back to Rafe’s. “Yeah, I just can’t concentrate.”

“I moved,” he teased, pointing at the table. “I’m not bothering you at all.”

“Yeah, it’s not that.”

Rafe stood and came back to her side. “Crowder?”

“Yes.” She dropped her head back on the cushion and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “Can’t get him out of my mind.”

“I’d be happy to distract you.”

She lifted her face to meet his gaze. “Really? What did you have in mind?”

“Come.” He held out his hand and curled a finger, beckoning her. “Enough work.”

Katy took his palm in her own and let him drag her from the couch.

“I bet I can make you forget.”

“I bet you can.”

He wandered back into the bedroom. The bed was still a mess from the night. They hadn’t let maid service in.

“Lie on your stomach. Let me rub your back.”

“Really? A massage?” She hadn’t expected anything like that. She’d only imagined wild sex.

“Don’t look at me like that. I give a great massage. Now strip and lie down.”

Katy lifted her shirt over her head and dropped it on the floor. She wiggled out of her panties and added them to the shirt. Next, she climbed onto the mattress and stretched out with her arms over her head. She sighed. If the man was willing to give her a massage, she wasn’t about to turn him down.

Rafe left the room for a second and returned with the little bottle of lotion from the bathroom counter. “It’s not much, but it’ll do.” He popped the cap and climbed over her body, straddling her butt. He ran a finger down her spine, making her squirm. “I love the way you wiggle when I touch you.”

“It tickles,” she muttered into the pillow.

“I think I can make it stop tickling,” he promised.

She could hear him rubbing is palms together and then he set them on her back and she groaned at the first contact. He was a pro. He pressed his thumbs into every knot in her back at least as well as any professional she’d ever gone to.

When he got to her neck, she turned her head straight and tipped her forehead down so she could breathe in the space between the pillow and the mattress. “My Lord, you’re good at that.”

“Have you forgotten yet?”

“Almost.” She bit her lip. Why had she felt the need to provoke him like that?

Because sex with him is the most wonderful activity on earth, girl
.

“Grab the headboard, and don’t move your hands.”

She followed his instructions.

“If you let go, I will punish you. Understood?”

Oh, so, in the role now. “Yes, Sir.” A chill raced down her body. He made her so horny so fast when he switched to his dominant role.

“Good girl.” He kept rubbing her back, but his touch became more sensual. He grazed the edged of her breasts with his fingers, letting them reach farther around her sides than necessary for a back rub.

And then he scooted down her body lower, pinning her thighs with his own. He massaged her butt cheeks, molding and squeezing the globes with his palms. When he released her ass and traced a finger between her cheeks, she flinched. “Has anyone taken you here?” he asked as he tapped her tight bud.

“No, Sir,” she croaked out.

He reached lower and pulled a finger through her slit. “So wet. Not opposed to the idea then?”

Katy didn’t respond. She wasn’t sure what to say. She didn’t have a firm opinion about anal sex. She’d never considered the concept.

“We’ll come back to that.” Rafe lifted off her and pushed her knees open awkwardly. He settled between her legs this time. “Keep your head low, but lift up on your knees, baby.” He tapped her butt with his hand.

Katy struggled to hold on to the rungs of the bed and pull her knees up under her enough to lift her ass. God. What a position. It couldn’t be attractive.

“Perfect. Just like that.” Rafe ran his hands up her thighs from her knees to her center. “Keep your legs open for me.”

She didn’t know how she could avoid it with him sitting between them. “I’m going to make you come, hard and fast, to take the edge off. It’ll help you relax.”

Normally she would have laughed at the cockiness of some guy thinking he could make her come any way but slow, but in this case, she knew he was right. If he so much as touched her pussy again, she was likely to reach her peak.

Rafe wrapped one arm under her belly and held her tight. With his other hand, he thrust two fingers into her pussy with no warning. She was plenty wet. But he shocked her.

She moaned at the intrusion and bucked into his hand.

“Hold still. I’m in control. Not you.”

Rafe scissored his fingers inside her, reaching every crevice and raising her arousal with every stroke. And then he removed his fingers, pressed on her clit, and then fucked her fast and hard with three fingers, as he’d promised. “Come,” he commanded.

Katy toppled over the edge of sanity in two seconds, her pussy grasping at his hand, desperately trying to hold him inside her.

He didn’t stop either. He kept stroking her, inside and out. His fingers working inside her while his thumb rubbed her clit. It was too much and not enough at the same time. She fought the moments of sensitivity that demanded he stop and breathed through the intensity until it began to feel good again.
