She had to stop pretending. This wasn’t healthy for her or Jordan. How much longer could they keep this up really? Neither of them were very happy.

Could they really keep going on just sex?

No, not after what they’d experienced the other night.

Gavin had changed everything.

Aren’t your feet cold?” His voice was thick like syrup as he sat beside her, looking out at the Atlantic.

I enjoy the feel of the sand between my toes too much to care right now.” She looked over at him; the sun was behind him, giving him the effect of a glow from behind.

Where is Jordan going?” He kept looking out to the water as the waves moved in, slowly, rhythmically.

Back to the city” She looked back at the water, digging her toes in deeper.

He looked over at Cassandra, the way her hair danced with the wind, “Is everything okay?”

We broke up.” She turned him, struck by the depth of his eye color.

He tried not to smile, “I’m sorry.”

No you’re not.”

Your right, I’m not.”

Why?” She tried to read his body language but she wasn’t sure what he was trying to convey.

All the two of you had together was sex. That can’t last forever. You want more. You crave more.”

What makes you so sure of that?”

Gavin leaned in close to her, “I felt it when I touched you the other night. I felt the way you touched me.”

All
we
had was sex.” She countered.

He smiled and looked back at the water, “That might be so, but it was different between you and me. It was different for you then it was with Jordan. It was different for us then it was for me and Jordan.”

She wrapped her arms around her body as the wind began to pick up, “It had just been a while since I’d been with a man.”

He put an arm around her, pulling her close to him, “Come with me to get a Pizza.”

Are you asking me out on a date?” Cassandra couldn’t deny that it felt good to have his arms around her this way.

Yes, I am. I want to get to know you.”

Cassandra could feel her heart racing as he looked at her. “Let’s make this easy, we’ll go back to my house which is about 5 yards away, order a pizza and open a bottle of wine.”

That sounds perfect.” He kissed the top of her head before helping her up and grabbing her shoes.

Cassandra ran towards her house, enjoying the warm floor as she moved to the kitchen, stopping only when she saw the note on the counter.

I get it Cass; we had fun, now we move on. J

Next to the slip of paper was a set of keys. Cassandra picked them up and tossed them in a drawer.

She’s really gone, isn’t she?”

Gavin nodded from his spot in the doorway, “Yeah, she is. I’m sorry.”

Cassandra crumpled up the piece of paper into a tight ball throwing it towards the trashcan, only to have it bounce off the rim.

Gavin came up behind her, massaging her shoulders, “What can I do for you?”

She didn’t really have an answer for him, or for herself. She felt her body lean into his as she closed her eyes.

She turned around, kissing him slowly.

Gavin returned the kiss as he pulled her body closer to his.

Make love to me.” She requested as she rested her forehead on his chest.

Gavin didn’t answer; he just lifted her up in his arms as he carried her out of the kitchen and into the living room before gently placing her down on the couch. He lowered himself to his knees and he looked at her, the glow of the setting sun shining from the backyard windows casting an erotic glow around her.

He let himself study every aspect of her body as he removed her clothes slowly, watching the way her body responded to his touch, the way her nipple began to harden before he even touched it, the way she leaned into him as if yearning for him to kiss, lick and suckle on any body part possible.

Leaning forward Gavin kissed the space between her breasts, each hand cupping one, teasing her nipples with his thumbs as he kissed down her stomach towards her cotton panties. He pushed the covering aside, leaving them on her as he slowly let his tongue tease and lick.

Gavin could feel Cassandra’s legs wrap around his body, urging for more from him, in a combination of desperation and lust.

He moved slowly, trying to make sure that everything was about her, not him. He responded to her moans, the almost inaudible pleas of where to touch her and when. It was obvious to him that she needed to feel important, special, that it had been far too long since she’d been anything but a pussy to fist.

She was about to climax; Cassandra could feel it in her toes as the electricity ran through her body. She’d been with plenty of people over the years, lots of men, lots of women. None of them had ever done to her, what Gavin was right now. At least, not in the way he did it, with this kind of intensity.

I need you in me.” The words released from her, before she even knew they existed.

Your wish.” He kissed her as they moved backwards on the couch, her beneath him as he used one hand to undo his jeans and release his throbbing, aching cock.

She reached out to touch him, when he took her hand. “No, this is about you, your pleasure.”

Cassandra felt a wave of desire unlike anything else she’d ever experienced. She watched as his eyes locked on hers, his body hovering over her as he slid inside of her, before he began to thrust with a slow urgency, rocking their bodies as she reached her crescendo moments before he did.

Their sweat glistening in the setting sun as Gavin held Cassandra tight and close. “I don’t know what we’ve got going on here, but I’m not running away from it.”

Cassandra, pushed away the wisps of hair on his face, “Whatever this is, we’ll let it run its course, when we’re done, we’re done, if we’re not, we’re not.”

What are you saying Cass?”

She licked her lips as she composed her thoughts, “What I’m saying is that, when this doesn’t work for me or for you, we just end it. We don’t drag this out for any reason. Deal?”

Deal.” Gavin ran his hand over her forehead, smoothing her hair away from her eyes, this moment, right here, right now felt like something he would never be able to part with.

CHAPTER TEN

Carter?” Zach called out as he walked into the house. He’d spent most of the day just walking around town, trying to wrap his head around the thoughts and feelings that were coming up thanks to Shayla.

He jogged up the steps, his feet aching from his dress shoes and stopped at his brothers door, pushing it open and finding Carter in bed, with his naked ass exposed to the world.

Gross bro.” Zach shook his head as his brother looked at his through drowsy eyes.

What time is it?”

Zach looked at his phone, “Four in the afternoon. Have you been in bed all day?”

Shit, I missed church. Now I’m going to have to deal with Eva.”

Why are you still in bed and naked. Who the hell did you screw last night?”

Carter felt a moment of panic, “Just some hot piece of ass I hook up with every now and then. What can I say, she loves my dick.” He lied, about some of it. Amanda had enjoyed everything they’d done the night before and early in the morning before she snuck back over to her own house.

Glad to see some things never change. You always were a man whore.”

Carter pulled his blankets around his body, “Me? You’re the one whose just now getting home, you obviously spent the night with Shayla Daniels. If you didn’t get laid then she’s changed.”

Zach sighed, “What goes on between Shayla and I, is just that, between us.”

She at least blew you right? She is amazing at that. She does this thing with her tongue that, man I wish I could get another girl to do, they just can’t do it the way she does.” Carter lost himself in a moment of sexual nostalgia.

I’m gonna go take a shower, you might want to think about taking one of your own and washing those sheets. It smells almost as bad as a whore house.” Zach slammed the door behind him.

His head was throbbing as he entered his old bedroom grabbing a pair sweats and heading into his bathroom. He turned the water on high, feeling the steam building, opening his pores. He stripped the suit off, creating a messy pile with the pieces.

The water was just hot enough as he stepped in, letting it cascade over his body. He stood under the stream for a moment before soaping up his body. He hadn’t realized how tired, how worn his body felt after walking around all day, the half sleep of the night before while holding Shayla close.

Zach could feel his body reacting to the memory of her body against his, the smell of her hair, skin, and the way the thought of her touch sent an electric wave through his body. He grabbed his aroused cock with his soapy hand, tugging slowly at first, urging himself to release.

Zach was surprised at how quickly he'd gotten himself worked up and done. He leaned around the shower wall, his hand held out under the shower spray. The water vapor surrounding him, and every touch he'd received from Shayla played in his mind, every touch he wanted to receive tried to play out in his imagination.

This was different, this thing with them. He had never felt it before, not with his college girlfriend, or the woman he'd dated a year before from Boulder.

His heart was racing as he turned the water off; he had to find something to keep his mind off of Shayla. He had to focus on his meeting in the morning. His life could change, his dream could come true.

After drying off and getting dressed Zach went back to his bedroom and lay down on the bed. His poster of Britney Spears plastered on the ceiling stared down at him. He laughed at himself was the nostalgia washed over him.

"Bro, what are you doing?" Carter’s voice floated through the door.

"Just lying here, come on in." Zach stretched out, and yawned just now realizing how tired her really was.

"Want pizza?"

"Sure, Joes?"

"Yeah, I'll go call it in."

"Carter?"

"What?"

Zach sat up, feeling small and very much like his dorky, awkward high school self, "When you and Shayla dated in high school, was she aggressive or passive?"

Carter chuckled, "She was the aggressive one. She couldn't get enough of me."

Zach looked around, "Did you love her?"

"In a way, I did. She's not the love of my life. I'll probably never have a love of my life. I'm not the kind of guy who falls in love. And before you ask, I don't think she loved me either."

"Did you keep in touch after high school?"

Carter shook his head, "No, I went to Rutgers, she went to NYU. She got in with a whole different crowd."

"What kind of crowd?"

"I think she started seeing some older guy." Carter sat on the foot of the bed, "I think he was married or something. He kept her in a studio apartment in the city. Her parents just thought she had a great deal on student housing."

"Wow, really?"

"Yeah, Shayla gets very intense. I know you've always had a thing for her, but Zach she's just going to be trouble."

"What if she's the kind of trouble that I want?"

Carter laughed, "Then this is nothing that I can do for you at all. You are going to be nothing but heartbroken by the end of the week if possible."

"Thanks for the warning; I'll keep that in mind."
