As for letting another man touch her
again…

The sound of a throat being cleared made him
sigh and focus his attention on Luke. His partner was dressed and,
aside from the slight flush on his cheeks and his mussed hair, he
looked the same as ever.

“She going to be okay?” Luke asked.

“Better than okay. I’ll make sure of
that.”

“We’re okay?”

“Better than okay,” he repeated. “And don’t
count on it, but maybe someday, if I ever manage to dampen this
possessive streak of mine…”

Luke grinned. “Just tell me where and when,
and I’ll be there.” His gaze focused on Claire and his smile slowly
faded. “Are you feeling too possessive right now, or can I give her
a kiss good-bye?”

Claire jerked in his arms, just a little,
but enough for him to know she’d heard Luke. She didn’t move, but
he felt the slight acceleration of her heartbeat. After what had
happened, it only seemed fair to allow the small intimacy. She’d
shared something special with Luke, something Ty had pushed her
into. The least he could do was make sure it ended right.

“Come on over,” he said.

At his words, Claire looked up at him, her
brow slightly furrowed. “I don’t mind,” she said softly, “but I
don’t want you to —”

Ty swooped down and kissed her, using enough
tongue that she was soon clutching at his arms and whimpering with
renewed desire. His cock was at the ready, and he barely was able
to pull back and release her. “That’s so I’ll be on your lips even
when his are,” he said. He jerked his chin at Luke. “Do it.”

With an amused tilt of his lips, Luke
stepped forward, reached out to cup Claire’s face, but then
hesitated. “May I, Claire?”

Her gaze flickered briefly to Ty before she
nodded. “Yes. Please.”

Gently, Luke cupped her face. Slowly, so
slowly, he lowered his mouth to hers. He didn’t take her the way Ty
had. He showed no hint of uncontrollable passion. Rather, he kissed
her almost reverently, barely slipping his tongue between her lips
before withdrawing. “Thank you for allowing me to be with you. It
was an honor.”

Both Claire and Ty sighed with something
resembling relief, grateful that the experimentation between the
three of them hadn’t caused irreparable harm.

As he straightened, Luke grazed her cheek
with his knuckles. “Be happy together,” he said. He took a step
back, then several more. “I need to go. I’ve got an appointment
with a supplier I need to keep. If you need me to stay…”

“No,” Ty said. “We’ll be right behind
you.”

With a two-fingered salute in Ty’s
direction, Luke unlocked the door and then walked through it. His
battle cry and the exciting chattering that followed told them he
continued to maintain his cover.

Claire looked expectantly at Ty. “Are we
—?”

He swiped his hand across his jaw. He should
get her out of here, especially now that Luke was heading out. But
something held him back, bolstered by the knowledge that Jed was
gone for the night. “Not yet. I need to have you again. One more
time. My dick inside you. Do you want that, Claire?”

She smiled and opened her arms to him. “More
than anything. Always. But this time I want to be on top.”

***

Everything they’d done up to now had been
thrilling. She’d experienced more pleasure than she’d ever thought
possible, and the notion that Ty was willing to satisfy her
appetite for sexual adventure — even to the point that he would let
another man touch her — still astounded her. She was actually
starting to believe that he was telling the truth — that he
respected and accepted the darker side of her desire just as much
as her tamer side. The idea of them having some kind of future
together seemed far more possible now, but it wasn’t just the sex
that made her think so. She’d felt a connection to Ty from the very
beginning. He was honorable, brave, pure fun to be around, and
right now, she just wanted to enjoy him. No games. No kink. Just
the two of them, using their bodies to express how they felt about
each other.

With Ty reclining naked on the single bed in
the room — he’d laughed when she’d asked him to lay on top of his
own clothes and hers, but he’d complied — she knelt on the mattress
beside him and slowly feathered her fingertips across his face and
the toned muscles of his shoulders, arms and chest. Occasionally,
she let her fingers drift lower, skimming his abdomen and
approaching teasingly close to the base of his straining erection
before pulling back. Although he shifted his legs restlessly and
his breaths accelerated, he didn’t rush her, didn’t try to take
control. He kept his gaze locked on hers, their connection almost
holy.

She added her mouth to the mix, sprinkling
kisses over the same paths her fingers took. When she reached his
pubic hair, she didn’t pull away again, but rather hovered over his
flesh and blew a stream of air against the sensitive shaft. Under
her fascinated gaze, his cock grew thicker, longer, and darker, the
tip a fleshy purple and the prominent vein traveling the length of
him pulsing with his heartbeat. He hissed, and his hands jerked,
but he pressed his palms flat against the mattress. With his eyes
finally closing, he seemed to struggle for control, something she
was suddenly bound and determined to deprive him of.

Moving stealthily, she tongued his shaft
from base to tip, then curled her tongue around the head. He
groaned, and his fingers clenched into fists. Closing her own eyes,
she kept the pressure of her mouth gentle, alternating between
licks and sucks, licks and sucks, relishing the taste and warmth of
him until he started arching his hips toward her. When she opened
her eyes, she found his open as well, and she nearly caught on fire
from the heat that emanated from them.

“Enjoying yourself?” he choked out.

“Mmm. Hmm,” she drawled before pulling back.
“You?”

He chuckled raggedly. “Uh, yeah. You could
say that.” Hands caressing her thighs, he pulled her over him until
she straddled his chest. “Sit on my face.”

His blatant request shoved the air right out
of her lungs. At first she resisted, but then she recognized the
means to his undoing in his bright, lust-crazed eyes. “Will that do
it for you?” she asked. “Make you lose control?”

“It’ll do it for me. And the fact that we’re
still here proves you made me lose control a hell of a long time
ago.”

She started walking on her knees, climbing
his body, deliberately dragging her wet core against him. “Will you
stop when I ask you to?”

Gripping her hips, he easily lifted her over
his face and nuzzled into her with a barely-there pressure that was
still enough to nearly drive her mad.

“Oh,” she whimpered and bit her lip.

He flicked his tongue delicately against
her. Once. Twice. Three times. “Now why would you want me to stop?”
he asked.

“Be—because I told you, I want to be on top.
I — I —”

His tongue speared into her, and she lost
her train of thought for several seconds. Throwing back her head,
she closed her eyes and covered her mouth with her palms to keep
from screaming his name.

“Mmmph. So good,” he crooned. “So fucking
amazing. And you
are
on top.”

“No. Not like this. I — I want to take you
this time,” she said.

“You are taking me.” He shoved his tongue
deeper inside her. “Just one, very specific part of me.”

She jerked as he nipped her clitoris. The
slight sting of pain caused her hips to jerk, pressing herself more
deeply onto his face. He latched onto the engorged pearl at the
crest of her core and suckled, his intent clearly to bring her to
orgasm. The explosion was nearly upon her when she frantically
shook her head and tried to lift herself off him. “No. Stop. I want
you to stop.”

His heavy breathing drifted up toward her,
and his fingers dug into her hips. For a second, she wasn’t sure
he’d stop, but after a moment, his grip loosened, and his head fell
back on the mattress. “Do it then,” he gritted out. “Do it
now.”

Swiftly, she scrambled down his body and
grasped his cock, positioning it at the opening of her pussy.
Instantly, she imagined how it would fill her, stretch her, test
her limits with the pure pleasure it would infuse her with.
Resolved to take him over the edge with her, she sank down, loving
the way her body initially resisted the invasion. He watched her
take him as if it was a wondrous sight. “Deeper,” he urged. “Take
me deeper.”

“I will. I’ll take all of you. Everything
you have to give.”

Pressing her palms against his chest, she
ended her statement with a swift downward thrust that buried him to
the hilt inside her.

They both cried out. Hands cupping her face,
he pulled her down for a kiss. She covered his hands with her own,
then entwined their fingers as she rose up and slammed down on him
again. They both surrendered control at the same time, and she rode
him hard and fast, taking him just as she’d wanted to. He gave
himself to her, moving and whispering and thrusting and lunging
until they both exploded, and this time neither of them made a
sound. It was as if they wanted to contain every drop of emotion
and sensation within their bodies so as not to waste a precious
drop. But the whole time, they stared at one another, never looking
away as they carried each other to heaven.

CHAPTER SIX

Ty and Claire dressed silently. Despite the
powerful connection they’d experienced only minutes before, the air
was rife with tension. Unfortunately, it was a tension that Ty
himself was emanating. He knew it. He tried to extinguish it. He
couldn’t.

Now that it was time to leave, to get her
out of the world he’d been living in — or, to be more precise,
make-believing-in — he was filled with a combination of urgency and
dread. Urgency because he’d been hit by a bad feeling the second
their bodies had separated. Dread because a part of him was reeling
under the emotional onslaught of what they’d just shared.

Ty was a damn good undercover cop because he
had great instincts. The fact that he was getting a bad feeling
now, just as he was prepared to get Claire to safety, couldn’t be
ignored.

Ty was also damn good at taking care of
people, women especially, and he had no doubt that Claire would be
more important to him — hell, she already was — than any person
he’d ever met. What he was no longer sure about, what he had no
experience with, was entrusting himself to the care of others.
Hell, he’d practically handed her the key to his wellbeing, and if
she decided to walk away, it would destroy him.

He’d given everything to her. Hadn’t even
thought to hold back. She held all the power now. What if he
couldn’t satisfy her the way he thought he could? What if he wasn’t
enough for her sexually? What if she changed her mind and decided
life with a cop, one whose job entailed long hours and sometimes
long periods of separation, wasn’t for her? What if —

Ty jerked as something cool cupped his
face.

He blinked.

Claire.

“— thoughts?”

“What?” he said.

“I said, are you having second thoughts?
Because if you are, don’t worry. I —I understand things got a
little out of hand here. So you don’t have to be afraid I’ll — I’ll
expect anything from you.”

Her lips stretched into what was supposed to
be a reassuring smile, but it was obviously false.

Dickhead, he thought. If he could have, he
would’ve kicked his own ass. Here he’d been, freaking out and
feeling insecure, and what had been the result? He’d made her doubt
his desire for “expectations.” Seeing her working so hard to
reassure him made his fears of power and abandonment vanish.

Because as much power as she held over him,
he knew he held the same over her.

He hadn’t been alone when he’d experienced
nirvana in her arms. If she needed him half as much as he needed
her, nothing would keep them apart.

Apparently uncertain how to interpret his
silence, Claire glanced away. “We’d better go. I heard a car
outside and —”

“What? Shit.” Something else he’d missed
because he’d been preoccupied. He strode to the boarded-up window,
peeked through the slats, and cursed. “It’s Jed. He’s back. Let’s
move.”

Cupping her elbow, he dragged her to the
video camera in the corner of the room and popped the tape out of
it. He placed it in the back waistband of his pants, which he
covered with his shirttail. When he caught her looking at him and
flushing, he winked. “We’ll watch it later.”

She turned even redder and, although he
wanted to kiss her embarrassment away, he knew there was no time to
lose. He led her out of the room and guided her through a gauntlet
of raucous, cheering men. Not as many as he’d expected — the place
had cleared out during the hours they’d been feasting on each
other. Periodically, Ty paused to give someone a high five.

He headed for the back entrance, hoping to
bypass Jed completely.

Shit, what had he been thinking? He’d let
his dick control his actions when he should have gotten Claire out
as soon as he’d learned Jed had left.

Behind him, she moved quickly. Silently. He
frowned, worried by her silence and the fact he hadn’t clarified
that “expectations” were just the beginning of what he wanted from
her. But safety first. Then they’d talk and make love again and
again until he’d banished any doubt about what he wanted.

They banged through the back door and
stepped out into the early evening air without any problems. His
Jeep was just around the corner, at the side of the warehouse. If
they —

“Well, well. Don’t tell me you two are
heading off to elope so soon?”

Ty froze.

Jed stepped around the building and into
view. “A little early for that, isn’t it?”

Claire clutched his arm but remained silent.
Calm. He pulled her closer to his side. “I’m just taking the lady
home now that I’m through with her, Jed.”
