The ice moved lower and touched her clit.
Josslyn
cried out, dropping her ice pack to the side. She lifted her hips in desperation for him and he held back. He wanted to watch her beg for it. She shuddered as he moved it lower, sliding the ice cube along her slick sex.

“Tank, please.”

He grinned and tossed the ice cube back into the cup. “Please what? You want my mouth again or my cock this time?”

“Your cock.”

Mmm
. I want that too.” He crawled over her, letting her pussy rub against his chest as he moved up her body. Her slick warmth touched every part of him until his cock pressed against her.

He leaned down to kiss her, nipping at her lower lip. “Roll over, sweetheart.”

Josslyn
shifted her stomach and he moved in behind her. He pushed her legs wider as he gripped his cock, rubbing it along her wet slit. She cried out, gripping at the sheets.

“Yeah, baby. I’m needy too.”

He pushed inside her tight warmth with antagonizing slowness. Her hot pussy clasped him tight, reminding him why no other woman could ever compete with her. She was perfect for him in every way. He shoved forward, giving her more of his thick dick. Three years was too damn long to be celibate but he would take it slow.

“Tank, please.” She dropped her head down. “God, please fuck me harder.”

His fingers dug into her hips as he pushed in completely, feeling her tight pussy wrap around him as he forced her to accept his entire length. She damn near blew the top off his head when she squeezed him, using her inner muscles to hold him inside her like he belonged there.

God he felt it. He felt like he belonged inside her. He worked on a rhythm that was a notch above the slowness he intended. His sexy little minx wasn’t having slow and sensual. She wanted him harder, faster. The glass of ice tipped and splashed her with his movements. She gasped and jerked away from it making him chuckle.

He needed this. He needed her.

His orgasm caught him by surprise as he filled the condom with jets of cum. He reached around to finger her clit, giving her what she needed. Everything was so damn right between them, that he didn’t want it to end.

He pressed a kiss to her back. “If I recall correctly we fucked in that car we test drove too.”

She chuckled, her body vibrating from it. “There aren’t many places we haven’t had sex.” She rolled back into his arms. “And there isn’t much we haven’t done together either.”

Tank leaned in to kiss her. At one time, she’d been his life. He missed that about her. When he’d walked away, he had stopped living.

Chapter Five

Josslyn
sat at the table drinking her morning K-cup when the doorbell rang. Jeremy was playing in the living room and glanced up at her when she walked by. A quick peek out the window revealed it was the detective that had Jeremy’s case. She glanced back at her son before unlocking the door.

“Detective. What brings you here?”

He looked past her to Jeremy. “I was just checking in. See how you were doing.”

“We’re fine.”
Josslyn
smiled at him.

He glanced over at her. “That’s good. How did you get that bruise on your cheek?”

“A clumsy fall.” She met his eyes.

The detective didn’t believe her one bit. “Is Ryland around?”

“No.”

“Do you know where I can find him?”

“Why do you need to talk to him?”

“Just follow-up questions.” He glanced over at Jeremy, who’d come to stand beside her. “Hey, buddy.”

She glanced down at her son who held a toy motorcycle in one hand and wrapped his other around her thigh. She smiled at him, cupping the side of his head to her. He didn’t understand any of the stuff going on, nor did he need to. The last thing they needed watching their backs was the detective.

“Is that a motorcycle?” the detective asked him.

Jeremy nodded. “My daddy has a real one.”

The detective smiled. “He does? That’s so cool.”

Jeremy glanced up at
Josslyn
. “Go play, sweetie. We’re almost done.”

He left them and
Josslyn
stepped out onto the porch with the detective. “Cute kid. How did you get him back?”

“It was a misunderstanding.”

“Right.” The detective stared at her. “Like your cheek?”

She laughed. “What exactly are you accusing me of, Detective?”

“I’ve been working with guns and gangs. I learned that the Charming Bastards were one of the top motorcycle clubs in the city that distributes dope and guns. I also learned that your father runs the other motorcycle gang in the city competing for business. It can’t be all that peaceful being caught between two rivals.”

Josslyn
leaned against the door. “Good work, Detective. Next you’re going to learn that I’m a realtor and I don’t have anything to do with either one of them anymore.”

“Is that right?” The detective stared at her. “Guns and Gangs reported that Matthias Grier treats his women like garbage. I’m assuming that includes you. I doubt Ryland was the one that put that bruise on your face. He’s smarter than that.”

“How so?”
Josslyn
didn’t know where he was going with this, but she didn’t like it. He knew too much about them. It was never a good thing when the cops got involved.

“He struck me as a guy wanting to get to know his kid. Hitting the mom isn’t going to get him his wish.” The detective stared at her. “Plus, a guy that goes away to prison for two years for you doesn’t really seem like one that would abuse you either.”

“Wow. You learned a lot overnight.”

“I’m studious. I like to know what’s going on.”

Josslyn
arched an eyebrow. “Well, if you don’t mind, I’d like to get back to my coffee before it gets cold.”

“Are you still using?”

She stared at him. “No.”

“Is he?”

“I have no idea.”

The detective propped his hands up on his hips. “Thank you for your time, Ms. Maverick. I’ll be in touch.”

Josslyn
watched as he left. She waited until he was out of her driveway to go back inside. A cop that knew too much was a dangerous thing. Especially if he got caught up in the rivalry. He knew about Tank taking the fall for her so he was pretty damn close to finding out about Eddy. If he got caught up in that mess then all hell would break
lose.

“Mommy, who was that man?”

Josslyn
grabbed her phone. “A policeman.”

“Is he going to take me from you?”

She stopped scrolling and looked up at him. “No. Why would you think that?”

Jeremy didn’t say anything and
Josslyn
sat her phone aside. “Come here. What made you say that?”

She lifted him to her lap and wrapped her arms around him. He didn’t say anything for a long time. “Tell me.”

“The mean man. The big one. He said that if the police found out, that they would take me.”

“Found out about what?”

Jeremy shrugged.
Josslyn
took a deep breath. What the hell did her brother do? She kissed the top of Jeremy’s head and sat him in front of her. “Let’s get ready to go.”

Even though it went against all her rules for the way she’d raise Jeremy, she needed to see Tank. Since he lived at the
club, that
meant that the two of them would be paying a visit.

Tank sat in the garage working on his motorcycle. They had a big night tonight since Torque found out the possible location for the weasel. He’d been there for the past few months hiding out. It was one
clusterfuck
of a problem that Tank hoped would end soon.

“Daddy!”

Tank turned and Jeremy came running at him. He smiled and held his arms open, keeping his greasy hands away from the kid. He kissed the top of his head and smiled before meeting
Josslyn’s
eyes.

“We need to talk.”

He didn’t like the sound of that. He kissed the little boy’s head and stood. “What happened now?”

“The detective is snooping around.”

He frowned. “How?”

“He stopped by this morning. Asked me about my cheek. Informed me that he knew about you doing time for me. He knew about the clubs' rivalries. He assumed that I got the bruise from my father.”

Tank stared at her. “What did you say?”

“Nothing. I told him I was a realtor and I didn’t mess around with that life anymore. It’s the fucking truth.”

“He planted the knowledge in you because he knew you’d go running to either me or your dad.” Tank glanced around. “It wouldn’t surprise me if he had you followed.”

She licked her lips. “I want this to end.”

He glanced down at her. “It will. Sooner than you think.”

She shook her head. “I don’t know if I believe you. Jeremy said that the big mean guy said the police would take him away if they found out.”

“Found out what?” Tanks eyebrows knitted together.

“I don’t know. Jeremy just shrugged.”

“Tank, we need to roll.” Deuce came over to him.

“Yeah.” He leaned in to kiss
Josslyn
. “You can always stay here.”

“Yes, your kinky sex room is the perfect place for Jeremy to stay.”

Tank smirked and kissed her cheek. “You like my kinky sex room.”

“What’s a kinky sex room?” Jeremy asked rolling his motorcycle along the pavement.

Josslyn
looked like she wanted to kill him and Tank couldn’t help but laugh. The guys were getting on their bikes and Tank needed to follow suit as well. He wiped his hands on a rag and bent to pick up his kid.

“You be good. Don’t give your mommy a hard time.” He hugged him before handing him over to Joss. “Just lay low. If you have any problems come here. You can stay in my room and shield him from most of the stuff that you don’t like about this place.”

She held him. “Do you use?”

He straddled the bike. “No.”

He started the motorcycle up, the monster of an engine vibrating the entire machine between his legs.
Josslyn
held a wide-eyed Jeremy in her arms, clearly not believing him.

“Stop looking at me like that.” He backed the bike out. “It’s been a really long time.”

“You just do skanks that use?”

He pursed his lips. “Nobody is completely innocent in this world, Joss. You know that.”

He turned the bike and gave it some gas to fall into line with the guys. A long bike ride was enough to cleanse his soul. That stupid fucker Eddy was on the north side of town not too far from the Reaper Boys club. It’d been decided that Eddy was the main target, but if there was collateral damage so be it. Joker joined them which surprised Tank. Torque didn’t really want him getting emotional. He had a heart of gold which made him less of a badass and more of a protector.

Tank didn’t give a fuck. Clearly. He had a temper like a bull and dared anyone to stand in his way. A few tried and he put them in their place. He thought about
Josslyn
and all that could have gone wrong. He didn’t really need much of a reason to hate Eddy or the Reaper Boys but thinking about what
Josslyn
went through was enough.

They’d met when he was a prospect for the Reaper Boys. He’d met someone that was a member and they invited him to hang around. He thought he’d won the fucking lottery. Free pussy, drugs,
all
kinds of
badassery
. And then he saw her. Sweet
Josslyn
. She’d been considered club property. Her father would pawn her off on men for a good time. He blew out a breath. Their relationship started shortly after that when one of Matthias’s acquaintances tried to do unmentionable things. Tank stood up and inserted himself in that conversation. It wasn’t his place, but she was screaming at him. Punching at him with all her might. And then the guy punched her back.

It got him kicked out of the Reaper Boys club. Not that he really cared.
Josslyn
thought all bikers were like her father and his degenerate club. She didn’t want anything to do with him but he couldn’t let it go. She deserved better.

Tank pulled off the highway, following Torque and Deuce toward their destination. He didn’t give her much of a better life. Drugs and women had been a weakness and he didn’t want to give up that part of the club life. Some of the club life demanded that he do stuff that most deemed bad. It had been a fucked up mess most of the time, but they got one another. And while she was with him, her father left her alone.

Tank licked his lips as he followed the curves in the road that led out of town. He didn’t know what to think about her being pregnant. He accused her of not taking the pill like she told him she did. They’d both been high and fucked like bunnies. Pregnancy wasn’t exactly impossible. Though back then, a small part of him liked the idea of sharing that with her. It took a little while for him to wrap his mind around the idea, but he’d eventually made the decision to step up and be the man he needed to be for her and the kid. God knows, she was the only woman he ever wanted to have a kid with. And the little boy they’d created together was pretty fucking awesome.

But she dropped a bomb on him when she told him Matthias gave her money for an abortion. He couldn’t look at her. Tank sucked in a breath as all those emotions flooded through him. He’d been stupid to assume that she’d do what her father wanted but he chose to cut his losses anyway before he ended up hurt. He regretted that decision. There were many long, painful, lonely nights where it didn’t matter what he did, he couldn’t get her out of his head. Drugs did nothing but intensify the pain. He grew more paranoid with each hit to the point he quit them all together. Club pussy was his favorite pastime but even that did nothing but exhaust him to the point he couldn’t think or feel anymore. He didn’t mope around most days, but he missed her. Even when he felt like she’d hurt him, he still missed being around her.
