Chapter 1:

Ginger couldn’t believe the nerve of Piper. Ginger was raised to try and find the good in everyone. You know try to give second chances and be accepting, but Piper Sharp- Granes was the worse. Piper possibly was borne from pure evil and all her secrets would one day burry her.

The only reason she came here was to find Jensen. She couldn’t lose him too. Ginger already lost too many people, but not the one connection to her parents and their past.

Ginger wondered, “Who was Delia Kern?”

Before she could say another word Aiden, one of the dark indigos came running in speaking about a security breech. Who was ballsy enough to attack Piper? And in her home, must be someone suicidal.

A loud boom ended all conversation. Half of the ceiling came tumbling down around them. Without thought, Ginger instincts kicked in and she dove into Piper.

Her move saved Piper from the high beam that almost crushed her completely. Ginger saw that Aiden was laying unconscious under some furniture. The opportunist Piper dead would have solved so many problems, but left her no leads to find Jensen.

Debris and a few stones laid on Ginger, who had a dazed Piper under her body. A hysterical, no more like diabolical laugh filled the chaos.

A light blue dress and wavy blond hair was all Ginger saw hovering over her in the air. This must be her, Delia Kern. The only one insane enough to take on Piper without thought to consequences and I was in the cross-fire.

Wait.

This much power couldn’t come from a fairy. No, Delia was a God! The news momentarily distracted her. Ginger messed the words, but the phrase die came to mind as a fireball appeared in her hand.

I don’t know how I am suppose to face a God, but I have to try. For mom and dad, and all the others that died for power. The fireball is launched at them, but really directed at Piper. Piper, who is still half covered with my body.

Ginger thinks, “Not good.”

Without a second thought, Ginger breathing is shallow as time twist to slow down. No active thought or time to process what is occurring. Save her, get away and fight another day was running through Ginger’s mind.

Delia doesn’t seem to be affected by my time powers.

“What the fuck!” escapes Ginger’s lips as Delia creates another fireball.

Screw this. Ginger thinks as she transports them out of the rubble.

Where to go?

Who to protect?

Without a second thought, Ginger is outside the mansion. A semi-conscious Piper pushes Ginger off her body.

“Get off me you wretched girl.” Piper spats.

Ginger rolls her eyes and replies, “You’re welcome.”

Looking up to see an alert Jurnee whose rage is directed at Piper. Got to defuse the situation and fast.

“I will kill her,” Jurnee yells as the speed of her vampire strength boost up and in a split second has her hands around Piper’s throat.

Static fills the air, Piper’s eyes glow blue as electricity sparks hit Ginger without mercy.

Shit!

Ginger runs at them knocking their bodies to the grass, looking down at them ready for a flinch of movement.

“Cut out this racket. I just put the babies down,” demands Penny. Three set of eyes glance at Penny who is in the doorway with her hands on her hips, looking pissed beyond reason. As if a single movement might wake baby Ian Noel Belkins and Gabriel Spencer Braddock.

Jurnee snaps up and rebuttals, “Fine my delightful princess.”

“Sorry,” mumbles Ginger.

Piper snorts as she gets up and walks up the driveway to Penny. Jurnee and Ginger quickly follow.

“So mommie, what’s for dinner? I’m famished with my life in danger and my home under attacked. I am sure you at least have milk,” Piper smirks and waits.

Ginger waited for Penny to slap her but Penny restrained herself by balling up her fist and allowing Piper entrance. The spell melted around the house, as they all went inside.

                                                                      Chapter 2:

The protection spell that Ginger helped Penny create should not have allowed Piper a mile near the house. Penny didn’t seem concerned about that compared to having a homicidal manic in her house with newborn babies.

Ginger figured since she helped make the spell, her magic allowed her special privileges like bring Piper close to the house.

“Why is she her Ginger,” Jurnee demanded.

“Yes, why am I here you irritating child. You should have let her kill me, would have saved you a ton of problems. Oh wait, you need me to help you find your precious Jensen Saunders. What is so fascinating about him that he is worth all this trouble?” Piper finishes asking.

The silence filled the kitchen as Penny handed Ginger a bottle of water and gave Piper a banana.

“What no five star dinner from stay at home witchy?” Piper snarkly commented.

Jurnee asks, “Can we kill her and get Lupio to read her or something.”

“Try it bottom feeder,” Piper snapped out angrily.

Penny states, “Enough! Ginger, I am going to call Shane why you two sort this out. Jurnee, can you check on the boys?”

Jurnee looked from Penny to Ginger to Piper before storming out.

Piper says, “Oh, she’s lovely. I see why you married her.”

She cackles as Penny leaves Ginger to talk with her on her own. Piper stops laughing when she see Ginger assessing her silently.

“Trying to figure me out? Good luck kiddo,” Piper states.

Ginger grins and takes a sip from the bottle of water. Piper ignores her and peels the banana back. She takes a bite and takes a quick look at the large size kitchen that could potentially house an entire cooking staff.

“So tell me little one, what are the rug-rats’ names?” Piper looked half interested as she took another bite waiting for an answer.

“Do you actually care?” Ginger retorts.

Piper smirks and repeats, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”

“They’re names are Gabriel and Ian, so now tell me everything you know about Delia Kern?” Ginger waits after asking.

Piper takes another bite, chews and swallows. She takes the final bite and chews but instead of swallowing she turns to the trash can and spits it out.

“We aren’t friends now just because you think you saved my life. We will forever be mortal enemies. I won’t help you.” Piper grins and gets up going to the sink where she starts washing dishes.

Ginger stands there totally stumped as Piper Sharp-Granes washes dishes. Without waiting another moment, Ginger turns and leaves to see Penny massaging Jurnee’s shoulders on the floor. Both women turn to her and before she could retreat to give them privacy, they signaled her to sit.
