After a day’s worth of Raul driving me around a congested Portland, I can’t wait to jump into my car and get home. The decision to live so far from the city was simple. I love how peaceful it is living on the outskirts of the city.

“The woman in the restaurant a couple of days ago…What do you know about her?” I ask Raul as we pull up in front of the hotel.

Raul
looks over his shoulder and smiles. “Kylie Weber…I know she’s good. She’ll wrap you around her finger while keeping you at arm’s length. If she’s willing to give you the time of day, she’s up to something. If you’re looking for a quick fuck, then look somewhere else. She’ll take what she needs from you long before you even see what’s underneath those panties.”

“So you decide to rape her in the back of a restaurant
to get underneath her panties?” I narrow my eyes waiting for Raul to try to justify his actions.

Raul looks back with panic in his eyes. “I wasn’t going to rape her. I was just trying to scare her into telling the truth.”

“The next time you decide to ‘scare’ another woman, I’ll make sure your boss at the livery company finds out about your tactics.”

“It won’t happen again
, Mr. Baxter.”

The
situation she got herself into with Raul is a bad sign, but after three days, I still can’t seem to shake her from my thoughts. When I caught her watching me, I knew I had to have her. I haven’t played with anyone in a while, and my cock has been twitching in anticipation from the moment I laid eyes on Kylie. I was prepared to court her, but after the incident with her and Raul, I knew I should steer clear.

I step out
of the car and walk swiftly into the hotel. The restaurant to the right of the entrance has already begun to fill up with diners and the happy-hour crowd. The restoration of this hotel took almost two years, but the results make the time and money spent worth it. The design was influenced by the Italian renaissance. Most of the intricate artwork on the arched ceiling was chipped and had to be restored. The marble floors throughout the lobby and the reception desk are new.

To the right of the reception desk I slide my keycard into the slot and the glass doors open.
At this late hour most of the offices are empty other than the night manager’s. My office is at the end of the hallway.

I
quickly drop my briefcase and grab everything I need before I head toward the bay of elevators in the lobby. As soon as I hit the button to take me down to the parking deck, I hear someone call out.

“Hold the elevator.”

I push the button to hold the doors open. The moment I see her I can’t hold back my smile.
What is she doing here? Unless…

“Are you following me?” I ask as Kylie steps into the elevator car. She leans against the opposite side and smiles at me. “No. I was meeting a friend at the bar.”

I’m not sure if she’s telling the truth. This is a little too coincidental, but it only makes me think this was meant to be. The doors slide shut, and the tension builds quickly. Her skirt is way too short, and her top frames her breasts perfectly. Her smile is mischievous, daring me to make a move.

“So you didn’t know this is my hotel?”

“I knew it was your hotel, but I didn’t know I’d run into you.” The doors slide open to the underground parking deck, and she steps out, walking past me with a seductive sway.

“Have dinner with me.” I follow her in the opposite direction from where I’m parked.

She turns around, smiles, and then shakes her head at me. “Are you asking me or telling me?”

I move in closer to her, reach out
, and glide my fingers over her neck. She shudders beneath my fingertips. “Will you have dinner with me?”

She doesn’t an
swer. She lowers her gaze and watches as I move my fingers over her collar bone.

“Do you feel that?” I ask. I know she feels
it. The attraction between us is intense.

“Meet me in the restaurant tomorrow at six.” I don’t wait for her to answer because I know she’ll come. Raul’s claims of her being off-limits sexually are ridiculous. Heavy layers of lust had cloaked us moments ago
. She wants me as much as I want her. The only games Kylie will play with me will involve her being trussed up with ropes, begging for mercy.

Chapter Two

Jude

She’s late.

I glance at my watch for the third time. My patience is getting thinner with every passing minute, and I think it shows as I sit alone drumming my fingers.

“Mr. Baxter?” The waiter stops next to my table. “The guest in room 2100 called down and left a message for you, sir.” He hands me a small note than walks away.

Took longer than expected. Will be down
shortly. Kylie

I didn’t realize she was already in the hotel.
Curiosity gets the best of me, and I leave the restaurant and go to the reception desk.

Tiffany, did you happen to check in a young blonde woman this afternoon?” I ask the young receptionist. “Striking green eyes and a beauty mark above her right eyebrow? Room 2100?”

“Umm…yes, sir, I did.”

“Was she alone?”

She looks curious about my inquiry, especially since I’m adamant about our guests’ privacy, but she doesn’t question me. “She came in with a young man
.”

“Thanks.” I turn toward the elevators.

The usually speedy elevator seems to move in slow motion, stopping intermittently every couple of floors for other guests. By the time I’m strolling down the hallway toward room 2100, I’m enraged with myself for charging up here like she belongs to me, but that doesn’t stop me from knocking on the door anyway.

Kylie
answers the door in a gray, business-style dress. High neckline, belted waist, and a hemline that ends right above her knees. She’s fluffing her hair and seems surprised to see me.

“I was on my way down,” she says as she struts back into the room, leaving the door open for me to follow. She stops in front of the bed and pulls a pair of pumps out of an overnight bag.

“Hey, Kylie, can you pass me my bag?” A man appears at the bathroom door wrapped in a towel, and Kylie smiles shyly as she tosses him a gym bag. I’m stunned into silence, staring at the bathroom door even though it’s now shut.

He’s young, twenty-one at the most. I can’t imagine an inexperienced kid can give Kylie what she needs. She needs a strong hand, someone to push her boundaries. Maybe Raul was right about Kylie. She plays a game with your head. You think you can handle her until you walk into a hotel room and find…this.

“Did I interrupt something?” My speech is quickly recovered as I glare at her. I try to sound as unaffected as possible, but really I’m surprised I’m this affected by her being with another man. I want Kylie, but I won’t take her if I’m going to have to share her.

We were done, and this is a photo shoot.” She waves her hand around the room, and it’s then that I notice the extra lighting set up around the room. A camera bag is on the bed, and her laptop is sitting open with a number of shots of the guy who is currently in the bathroom.

“A photo shoot? You’re a photographer?”

“Yeah,” she answers shyly, shrugging her shoulders as though it’s not important.

“How long have you been doing this?”

She pulls her camera around her shoulder and says, “Can we talk about it at dinner?”

She pick
s up her overnight bag, and I take it from her hand. She packs her laptop away and quickly dismantles the extra lighting. She taps on the bathroom door and lets her model know she’s leaving. She quietly fiddles with her camera bag on the ride down the elevator.

We stop by my office and drop off her bags before we go into the restaurant for dinner. She’s fidgety and won’t make eye contact with me across the table.

“You didn’t want me to know you’re a photographer?”

She sighs. “It’s not that I didn’t want you to know. I don’t usually let people into that part of my life.”

“Why?”

“It’s never been necessary.”

“So what do you talk about when you’re on a date?”

She laughs then shakes her head. “I don’t date.”

“You dated Raul.”

She tenses up, and it’s what I had been expecting. I brought up his name to see what I
could find out about their situation, but according to her body language she’s about to shut down.

“We were friends.” Her voice is neutral, but her eyes are begging me not to pry.

“He wasn’t so friendly to you last week.”

She glares at me then snaps, “We
were
friends, okay? He got angry because I wouldn’t fuck him. Is that what you want to hear?”

I don’t know what I wanted to hear. I’m just trying to figure her out. She’s shrouded in mystery, and instead of turning the other way, I’m intrigued by her.

The waiter arrives, and we hastily order our meals. The second he disappears, Kylie changes the subject.

“So what is it like to have people cater to you?”

“People cater to me here because I’m their boss.”

“How’d you get into the hotel business?”

“I was a business major in college. I thought I’d end up as a corporate executive, but when I got my grandparents’ inheritance three years out of college, my plans changed. This place used to be a very popular hotel about a century ago.”

“It’s very popular now. You’ve done a great job at bringing it back to life.”

“A lot of people thought it wasn’t a very wise move to pour everything I had into an old hotel.”

“But you had a dream.”

“A dream is an illusion, a hallucination that disappears in the blink of an eye. I had a solid plan and a shitload of determination when I purchased this place.”

“So you don’t believe dreams come true?”

“Dreams are the blueprints to the things we want. They never come to life if we don’t put in the work to make them happen. Nothing you really want just falls into your lap. The obstacles in the way to realizing your dream tend to fall out of nowhere. Nobody wants those.”

“You’re a very insightful man.”

“I wouldn’t say I’m insightful, but I’ve definitely learned a few things along the way that have stuck with me.”

Our plates are placed in front of us, and she immediately digs in,
seemingly unconcerned with portions and the amount of carbs in her pasta. I didn’t realize it before tonight, but I was getting tired of the shallow conversations I’ve had with women over dinner.

“I admire your success,” she says as she sips her wine. “Do you think you’ll expand
the Baxter Hotel line?”

“I’m just beginning to get by. I’m not at the point where I can afford to open up another hotel.”

“I think you’re doing more than getting by.”

“Trust me, I’m just a regular guy.” I bite into a piece of my steak, and she pauses to watch me.

She smiles, and her eyes light up. “You’re many things, but you’re not regular.”

She twirls her fork in her pasta, puts it in her mouth, and moans. The sound
causes my dick to pulse to life. Then she licks her lips to wipe off the pasta sauce, but misses a spot in the corner. She’s only enjoying a meal, but the move is so erotic I’m ready to slide her onto the tabletop and bury myself in her heat.

I reach over and wipe the sauce off the corner of her lip with my thumb. She watches me as I lick it off my finger. Her eyes dilate, and I know she’s thinking of how it will feel when I slide my tongue over every inch of her body.

She pauses as she picks up her fork, and our eyes lock. I’m sure the hunger in my gaze is apparent. “Would you like to see the honeymoon suite?” I cock an eyebrow with my suggestive question.

She smiles wickedly at me, then begins to eat at a faster pace. Her enthusiasm is catching. Ten minutes later we coast out of the restaurant
, no dessert. This wasn’t part of the plan for tonight, but I can’t wait to have her in every way possible.

Kylie

What am I doing?

This is insane. I’ve never done anything this reckless. Everything I’ve done has been methodically planned out. Maybe my attraction to him is amplified because he excites me and makes me want to throw caution to the wind. Whatever the reason is, I know I don’t want to be cautious tonight.

As we ride the elevator up, Jude moves in close and presses his body against mine. The fuzzy hair on his face grazes my skin, and he whispers into my ear. “I want to know you
in so many ways.”

God, I want him too.

This kind of passion is new to me. Every time he’s around me, I want to do things I haven’t been tempted to do in years. He kisses my neck, then says, “I want to know you in ways that will make you ache for me at night.”

The doors open
. He pulls me down the hallway and quickly opens the door. As soon as we step into the room, my nervousness turns into all-out panic. This man knows what he wants, and he’s ready to take it.

And I want him to have it.

He throws his key on the dining table. “We need to talk.”

“Talk?”
He set me on fire, takes me up to the honeymoon suite, and now he wants to talk.

Have a seat, Kylie,” he says. He crosses his arms, his biceps bulging out against his shirt. I can practically see him mentally counting the seconds before he makes me do as he says. I decide not to push him and take a seat. He sits across from me, leaning his elbows on the table.

“This will be your last chance to walk away. If you decide to stay after we talk things out, I will assume you want everything I want to do to you and are ready to proceed.”

“It’s just sex. What is there to discuss?” I’m not extremely experienced, but I never assumed sex involved a businesslike conversation.

“It’s not just sex. I brought you here tonight so you would be more comfortable and I could ease you into this. The next time we meet, you will come to my house and it will be a lot more than just sex. There will
be a lot of bondage, toys, suspension, anal play, spanking, and much more.”

Oh my

“You’re a Dom.” It’s not a question, just my mind putting his words into prospective. The way he commands attention in a crowded restaurant, the way Raul jumped when he ordered him around, and all the talk of controlling me make sense now. He’s a Dom, and he wants me to kneel down to him. Having sex with him was one thing, but getting involved in something I’ve never even considered may be too much. I was looking forward to having him in that way. I haven’t been this attracted to a man in years, but now…

“Why do you look so shocked? Are you afraid to explore your sexuality?”

“I’m not afraid of my sexuality, but I’ve never done anything like that before.”

“I can teach you to reach pleasure like you’ve never imagined.”

“I’ve only slept with one man in my life. I barely have any sexual experience. You don’t want me for this. I won’t know what I’m doing.” I’m beginning to second-guess coming up here with him. I let a severe case of lusting after a man get me into this situation. It’s been so long since I’ve had these kinds of feelings for a man and I wanted to explore them, but it may be more than I can handle.

He looks at me like he’s trying to figure something out. “One man?”

Out of everything I said he only picked up on the one man thing?
“One man.”

“Every time you open your mouth you just get better. I want you for this, Kylie. I want to do this with you more than I’ve ever wanted with anyone else. You don’t need experience. An experienced woman thinks she has it all figured out. It’s harder to erase what she already knows and get her to do things I know will bring
her pleasure.”

“This is more than I planned for.”

“Let me guess. You have a little list of rules. Things that allow you to manipulate men into getting what you want without going too far.”

“I don’t manipulate—”

“You lead men around by a leash and control every situation.”

“That is not what I do, but I do try to control as much as I can in my life.”

“Who helps you when everything becomes too much for you? You need to let down your guard, and I can help you do it without feeling vulnerable. I will train you to bend to me. You will respect and trust me so completely you’ll turn your body over to me without a thought. So if you intend to fight me to see who will reign supreme…” He gets up and walks over to my side of the table. He pulls me up out of my seat, and he wraps his hands around my waist.

“Be prepared to pay a bigger price if you make me work too hard for it.” He pulls me against his hard body, and I automatically sink into his embrace. “So are you staying or leaving?”

Leaving would be a wise decision, but his proposition makes this even more tempting. I never let down my guard, and I don’t know him enough to do so. But I really want to.
