She released his member with a wet
pop
and straightened. “That all you got, dragon?”

He’d been struck mute. He coughed and smoke billowed from between his lips. His chest heaved as he sucked in deep breaths. “Ride me.” The gruff whisper wasn’t a request.

She stepped back and pushed on his torso. Jax slid he pants down and scooted back. River swiveled her body, wiggling her hips as she edged the material down her legs, inch by excruciating inch. His mouth was dry. He grabbed his dick and slid his hand along his rod. She kicked off the sweats and rubbed her palms around her thighs. He snaked an arm around her waist and yanked her up.

River straddled his body and arched up. Slowly, she lowered herself, sheathing his shaft. Her muscles pulsated around his rod. Jax bowed up, lunging deeper as she reached back locked her hands on his knees and ground down. He gripped her waist to control her bounce as she rode his cock. She’d slow the rhythm, coming up almost completely off his member, before dropping down and bucking forward at a fevered pace. His ass was numb and he was starting to see double. Fire burned in his belly and he could taste the sulfur rising up his throat. Holding her in place, he lurched up, moving with jackhammer precision. He reached between them and tweaked her clit, rubbing the tiny bundle of nerves as he pounded into her passage.

She tilted forward, moaning against his neck. Her channel tightened, undulating around his dick. Her wails escalated, drowning out the waves in the background. She shuddered, shouting out. Warmth flowed over his shaft. He flexed his pelvis and drove his rod into her core. He jerked her against him, opened his mouth and breathed blue flame. Tremors coursed through his frame as he came within her.

They sat there for a few moments.

“Wow, is that gonna happen every time we make love because I gotta tell you, it’s hot,” she muttered.

“I hope not. I feel like I’m a youngster experiencing his flame for the first time. I know the heat makes you uncomfortable.” He rubbed her back.

“The hot I’m referring to is a good thing.” She brushed her lips against his collarbone. “I wanted to show you the grotto.”

“I can see it tomorrow, next week. Hell, next year, if we aren’t busy.” He pulled her away from him to look at her. “Let’s go to Seattle.”

“Now?” She drew her brows together.

He moved his hips. “In a bit. I’m enjoying the feel of you.”

“Why?”

“Why not? I have a few residents in the area. We would be alone.”

“What about your search? Shouldn’t we tell someone where we are going?”

He shook his head, “No, trust me if anyone can find me, it’s Mags. I swear it’s like she has me chipped or something.”

River sniggered. “She loves you. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear she
was
your mother.

“Yeah, that’s a long story. And I know she loves me. So about that trip?”

“We don’t have clothes.”

“We’ll buy some when we get there.” He shrugged, “It’s quite possible Kirill will just call and tell me where he wants me to search next.”

She bit her bottom lip. “When will we be back?”

“Whenever we want. We’re not tethered to this place and your dad has resumed his position. It’s time to let go a little.” Jax rubbed his nose against hers.

“True, but Harper put out feelers. As soon as any of the Makos swim into our waters, he will know and I want to be there.”

“Well, since you put it that way. We’ll make it a short trip. A couple of days, at most.” He winked.

Her lips turned down at the corners. “I found a note in the bag when I got here.”

“Really?” His interest was piqued.

“Yeah, it was from Hyori, begging us to leave immediately. The rest of that family might be worm ridden assholes, but Hyori she tried to warn me several times.”

Jax caressed her hair. “
Polýtimos,
there is nothing we can do about it now.”

“Why do you insist on calling me that?”

He wrapped his arms around her and held her close. “Because that’s what you are.

Polýtimos
means precious in Greek, and you mean more to me than any treasure I could amass. I love you.

Drago paced the hanger of his Nome home. The hard soles of his shoes on the concrete pad echoed through the cavernous building. Nicolette stood to the side, wringing her hands. As soon as he’d arrived to his new lair, he’d ordered her to meet him. Shit was falling apart and he wanted to know how. Outside, the wind whistled through the metal buildings. The snow had melted, but there was still a chill in the air and the temperature dipped low enough at night to form frost on the small windows fitted in the structure.

“I want to know how the fuck that little shit broke your wards?” He kept his voice calm, although he seethed with rage.

“Someone must have broken them, perhaps they had another witch with them.” Nicolette raised her chin. “My spells are strong.”

“Not fucking powerful enough!” he screamed.

She jumped and raised her hands up, palms forward. “They must have a powerful sorceress with them, perhaps the one that defeated the Babels. That is the only one I can imagine that would dare to cross me.”

Drago sucked in several calming breaths. “Where is the beast?”

“I cannot feel him. As with the witches, his connection has been broken.”

He formed fists at his side. “How the hell can our link be broken? His energy, strength, and life force were mine to tap into. We shared a fucking bond, or did you fuck up that spell, too? Find the animal, Nicolette, or I swear I will toss your ass in the bay with the merman.”

“Of course, Drago.” She strutted toward him. “Whatever you desire.”

“Do not play with me, witch. If there is another out that that can defeat you, I will find her and bed her. You will find yourself in one of my pits.” He stepped away before she reached him.

She narrowed her eyes. “I am not without my own defenses, silver dragon. Try and cage me and I will cut of your balls and shove them down your throat for breakfast.” Nicolette turned on her heel and marched out the area.

The creak of the old door opening and slamming told him he was alone. Drago opened his palm and stared down at his hand. Vibrant swirls of magenta marked his fingers. He’d met his mate. The claiming process wouldn’t happen quickly, since he wasn’t near her, but he would have to locate her eventually. A slow smile lifted his lips. Magdalena Rafi. Her name had an alluring ring to it, a sexy name for a sexy woman. It had been a long time since anyone had uttered anything about the Rafi clan. Not since his father, Mallow, lost the Malice Duel. He jammed his hands into his pockets and stalked to the door. First thing tomorrow he would send men out. The Rafi tribe was on his radar, and he wouldn’t rest until he located the beautiful Magdalena. Excitement skittered through him. Finally, he had a she dragon to claim for his own.
